I started this past week watching the series 'Yellowjackets'. I'm up to the 4th episode presently.
In describing it? Well....it's a 'Lost-lite' type script. Some teenage girls soccer team has boarded a crappy low-budget plane to fly over to some championship game. It requires the plane fly over some edge of wilderness of harsh-Canada (not regular Canada). There....it crashes. After five days, they realize that no one is looking for them, and they will be spending most of a year....in some 'Lost-lite' atmosphere.
Then the series takes off to the current society (20 years later)....after their rescue. Each episode is 50/50....in the past and in the current time.
Soap-opera-like script? Well....yeah.
A bunch of mixed-up women in their late 30s? Yeah.
The script not making much sense? As bad as 'Lost' was on the script giving you no real facts....this show goes along the same route.
This Misty-character? She's crazy but likeable.
This Lottie-character? She's schizophrenic and highly dangerous....especially without meds.
The thing is.....TV is so crappy that crazy shows like this survive on.
