The are two things I noticed about this President Biden moment where he uttered 'Neanderthal'.
First, if you watch a 10-minute chunk of this 'talk'.....he's messing with the mask about a dozen times. Hit the mute button and just watch the adjustments or 'poking'.
He's adjusting, I think....because he's not getting oxygen flow. His brain is telling him....move it, and allow fresh unfiltered air in.
The fact that the mask is not a good fit? If you notice Joe standing there....he can't weight more than 140 pounds at best, and his face is all slim. So I would suggest the mask is about a full-size too big for him.
But onto the second observation. Over the past decade, I've sat through forty-odd YouTube presentations covering Neanderthals, and I've been fascinated by the research done.
Generally, most experts (PhDers) say that Neanderthals were doing pretty good, and these hybrid humans came along....more developed, and prone to mark the Neanderthals as 'targets for elimination'.
In simple terms, Neanderthals were Gomer Pyle-types and just grasping that the hybrid humans were a serious threat to their survival.
So I view the Biden comment in a different way....the Neanderthals ought to wake up and grasp just who it is opposing them, and take them on as a serious threat to their survival.
Finally, I should add this....if you asked Joe to rate Neanderthals against Pony Soldiers....he'd probably ask if either were a new NFL team.
