Binge-Watching

Over the past month, via Netflex and Disney-Plus....I've binge-watched three series.....two successfully, with one a miserable failure.

First, with Y:The Last Man (the miserable failure).  Basically, something has occurred where all men on Earth are dead except some dude who seems to be very unlikeable and women are mostly running things.

I made it through about two episode and then just called it quits.  To view this....the women all seemed muddled-up....the guy was intensely dislikeable, and all of this was a non-comedy (yes, made into a fairly serious piece).

Whoever came up with the idea....wasted a fair amount of money and time.

Second, Squid Game (South Korean).  Nine episode and I have to admit this was a fairly creative script.  On story content.....one to ten....I'd give it a solid 'nine'.  At the conclusion of episode eight....you might think you've got the ending figured out?  Well....no, the ending will twist a bit.

It's a pretty dynamic 'jungle-camp' situation, where players die if they don't perform well.

Third, 'Sex Education'.  The third season came out recently, and I have to admit....I never watched the first or second season.

Best description?  Shakespeare with a heavy twist on sexual issues and teens.  On the script? I'd give it a 'ten', and at least eight of the people you see on the screen (in their 20s) are probably destined for major roles in the next decade.  Hint: this Ruby character finally delivers five-star moments in the third season.

A comedy?  A drama?  A romance piece?  Basically, it's got everything.

As for the peak?  There is this piece toward the end of the third season, where the school trip to France has occurred (I actually watched the episode twice).

Reviews say it's going for a fourth season, and it's worth a binge-watch.

What Joe May Admit

"Take a look at what I inherited when I came into office, when I came into office the state of affairs, where we were.”

-- President Biden this week

I sat and read through the quote.  Generally, most all first-term Presidents say this.  Some more....some less.

The problem with this....President Biden was VP Biden and Senator Biden.....so he should have a ton of expertise in handling things.

At some point in 2022, I expect some journalist to finally ask the question....if you know that Trump is having that much affect on 100-odd decisions you've made...what are you doing to counter the Trump effect?

At that moment.....Biden will probably freak out.  He'll have to admit that he's already doing everything possible to counter the Trump-effect, and it's having virtually no effect.

Public realization that Biden can't counter Trump?  Well....within hours, mental health clinics will be getting calls.....Trump-haters showing up and in serious declines of their mental state.  President Biden has admitted something that sets everyone into a vast spiral.

Pretty weird future, if you ask me.

Harris Chatter

I sat and watched this morning....a nine-minute piece of VP Harris on the 'VIEW' (from this week)....off YouTube.

First, the impression I get is that Harris's crew had the questions at least three days ahead of schedule, and they weren't exactly that difficult (stuff you'd ask your barber and expect a marginal response to be given).

Second, it was barely nine minutes of exchange....probably 90 seconds of that related to question-asking.

Third, Harris didn't really answer the Border Patrol horse assault on those refugees.....suggesting they 'split' the reins instead.  I got the impression that some horse expert explained reins to her, and before this event.....she'd never used the term 'splitting' reins before.

Fourth, nothing Harris said was a goof-up, like Biden would accomplish.  It was like talking to the pizza kid over the Braves and the kid suggests a new trade deal possible for a better 3rd baseman.

Maybe Harris ought to do this weekly....via the View, and hope to convince some folks she's slightly better than Joe.

Trillionaires, Your Next Worry

“I’m running to change the dynamic of how the economy grows.  I’m tired of trickle-down. Trillionaires and billionaires are doing very, very well. You all report it.”

-- President Biden this past week

Well....I sat there looking at the statement.  Trillionaires?

So I googled up the term trillionaires and asked who they were.  Well....there are NONE.

There are around 2,800 Billionaires in the world.  Eight of the top ten are Americans.....one an Indian, and one a French guy.

If you drew a spreadsheet and figured the rate of 'climb'.....we are around six years away from the first guy being announced as a Trillionaire.  If I were a betting man, I'd even go and say that Elon Musk will be the first Trillionaire.

So, what was on Joe's mind?  Unknown.

As far as I know....no journalist has ever written the term trillionaire....up until the point where Joe talked over the issue.

This coming from President Jill, President Kam, or any of the dozen-other people supervising President Biden?  There's probably three or four people worried about this trillionaire business and expressed it to Joe.

But as to the scheme here....getting them to pay their 'fair share'?  Well....I wouldn't worry, some idiot Senator is busy writing tax code and will ensure a code or two will ensure a fake 'fair share' will exist in some manner.

Kinda funny if you think about it.
