The 'Milley-Man'

This idea came to me last night, and I'll lay out.

Basically, Presidents are often sitting on the toilet, cooking muffins, hunting bears, screwing interns or hookers, drunk off expensive French Champaign, hyped-up on medication (legal and otherwise), sleeping, or in a daze of dementia.

So what I suggest is that we hire up seven four-star generals (having no real function in life) who have a eight-hour duty shift to be there with the nuke-case guy.

The general would just take over things, when the President wasn't capable.....announcing the nuke war.

This wouldn't be the Pentagon four-star....it's just be a routine four-star guy who accompanied the President everywhere and would press the button if necessary.

This conflicting with the Pentagon chief four-star?  No.  You'd tell these nuke four-stars that each of them have a bigger four-star than the Pentagon guy.

Do we need to make this into the Constitution?  That's the amazing thing.....you don't have do anything.  Milley already proved that it's totally legit.

We'd just refer to this four-star crew as Milley-Men....give them a nice jacket to war.....some medals on their chest, and they'd officially/unofficially be running the nation....when the President couldn't.

Shun?

I sat and watched a piece off CNN yesterday.....a Don Lemon segment...mostly amazed at Don's 'advice'.

So he more or less suggested that the best way to handle the non-vax crowd....was to shun them.  Yes....shun.

I hit mute at this point.  It was one of those moments where you need to reflect up the 'advice'.

Shun business is not new....it's been around for over 2,000 years.  It gets brought up in Titus 3:9-11, and over in Matthew 18 (not that I'm that much of a Bible reader).  One curious thing....this shunning stuff didn't get mentioned by the Jews in the Old Testament.....it only gets dragged out by Christians in the New Testament.

The Catholic crowd?  Well....they wrote up some 'regulations' and tended to expect you to shun anyone kicked out of the church.  The non-kicked-out-but-not-Catholic crowd weren't included in this business.

Amish folks do shunning but mostly for those who left the 'sect'.

Muslims do a lot of shunning (Al-Wala wal-Bara).  Anyone who is not in the extreme version of the religion....is to be shunned, period.

Around a decade ago, the Russians wrote up a law (Dima Yakovlev law) that said because Americans were so 'screwed-up'....it was legal on various aspects to shun them.

To be honest, I've substituted 'mute' for 'shun', and it works the same way.

As for where Don Lemon got this idea?  It would be curious for him to explain how it popped into his head.
