Truth Commission Not That Popular

The NY Post did a piece and noted that the public support for the 6th of January 'truth-commission'....fell from a high point of 66 percent in favor of such a group back in June....to 53 percent in the past couple of days.

Unless they find some mass conspiracy....I would go and suggest that the decline will continue over the next ten months....probably to around 35 percent.

Right now, I suspect if you walked around chatting with a hundred regular working-class people....more than forty will sum up the event in twenty words and just call it a 'mass demonstration....like those Antifa guys did'.  If you project out to December...it'll be remembered less and less.

The value in the end (probably in August of 2022 to be released)?  That's really the whole question-mark.

Might the summary pages (six of them I would assume) be already written and mention Trump at least sixty times?  Yeah....that might be something to ponder upon.

How the Haiti Assassination Business Played Out

It's been around three weeks since the assassination of President of Haiti 'played' out.

Basic structure of this whole event?

You had some individuals who wanted an agreeable individual to dictate some terms to....so it would appear that some crew was hired and supposed to threaten or rough-up the guy.  Someone in the middle of this episode....ended up killing the President.

This leading back to Florida?  Well....yeah, that's the funny part of this story.

The fact that none of the bodyguards to the dead President were roughed-up or killed?  Well....that's also a curious part of the story.

The fact that the President's term of office was supposed to end in February of this year, and he said he had a 'mandate' to stick around (on his own) until February of 2022?  Well, that's also a curious part of the story.

The fact that four companies (body-guard-type companies) were in the mix of hiring the 'thugs'?  Well....that's also a funny part of the story.  Usually, dictators get killed by their own countrymen....not hired thugs.

A truth commission coming out of this?  Probably.  But the question will arise....were there Americans (sitting in Florida) connected to this, and only a Biden-appointed or Pelosi-appointed truth commission could conclude that.....which I doubt you will see that occur.

I suspect if you went and asked a hundred Haitians if their lives improved or got worse after the assassination....99 would probably answer that things are about the same.

What VP Harris Said About Fixing the Border Crisis?

Five part plan announced by VP Harris yesterday:

1.  “Addressing economic insecurity and inequality” through the central region.

2.  “Combating corruption, strengthening democratic governance, and advancing the rule of law.”

3.  “Promoting respect for human rights, labor rights, and free press.”

4.  "Countering and preventing violence, extortion, and other crimes perpetrated by criminal gangs, trafficking networks, and other organized criminal organizations.”

5.  "Combating sexual, gender-based, and domestic violence.”

I looked over the list, and mostly just laughed.  It's a thesis-like paper, probably copied from some PhD candidate from the past five years who is a insider to the Biden team.

Any of these achievable?  No.  If you went into Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador or Mexico.....some might agree that if human rights were respected, that free and open commerce were allowed, and drug cartels diminished, things would improve.  But if you asked the same group how this could be handled or accomplished,  they would just grin.

Here's the sad thing....from this list of five, if you approached the fifty US states and said the same thing as a remedy for their chaos, negativity, and wokeism....they'd agree all five fit great into resolving their woes as well.  Would VP Harris push that agenda across America?  No.

VP Harris is now done with the border mess that President Biden gave her.  She visited....wrote the fix solution, and smiled for the cameras.   Now it's onto the next crisis that Biden can hand her.

The Backside of the Story over Simone Biles

Basically, for years and years, she had ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder).  She resolved this order by a medication situation.  The type of drugs doesn't matter.

So she gets invited to the Olympics.  However, Japan has this law in place....the drugs for ADD aren't legal.  You enter with them....you get police attention.

She gets into the middle of her Olympics routine, and can't concentrate....the drug effect is not there.  She leaves the stage.  End of the story.

There is nothing more to this drama.  I know....there's dozens of journalists who've tried to hype this over to this or that way, but it's basically a person who relied upon drugs and then had to 'dry-out'.

Should Biles have grasped this a year ago, with the Japanese law, and just said she wouldn't compete?  Probably.  Maybe she thought that she'd arrive and use the last pill on the plane....hoping that things would work out.

My guess is that this will linger around for two or three months.  Biles will be completely negative about the mention of the story, and refusing interviews eventually.

Maybe the only question remaining.....up until 2021 in the Olympics....is this the first case where someone was using ADD drugs for their concentration?  No....if you really dug into this.....probably 5-percent of participants over the past twenty years have used it to some degree.

Country Club Chatter

I sat and pondered over this story popping up today....the Black Lives Matter crowd stood up and gave some warning to the Senator from Rhode Island....Sheldon Whitehouse.

So, apparently Whitehouse is a member of some exclusive and apparently controversial country club.

They (BLM) say Whitehouse has to quit (the club in question is the Bailey’s Beach Club).  Failure to accomplish this?  BLM just says they will make Whitehouse 'miserable'.

Now, for a guy from Alabama (which I am), I have to admit there are ten different levels of miserable.  Some levels of miserable are like....well....just having one guy on the bus to fart, and you barely smell it.  Other levels of miserable are like your house getting hit by lightning.  So I'm kinda wondering about the intent here.

The thing is....if he is in DC most of the time....why bother paying some $3,000 to $10,000 a year for a place that you might only hang out for two times a year?

I was not privileged as a kid....growing up on the farm just didn't put you around the right people or right situation for a private country club.  If you got a catfish dinner, or some grilled burgers at a local diner....that was country-club enough for the normal guy.

At some point, the Air Force wanted to get me hyped up on the NCO Club, and that meant a monthly fee of $3....which a decade later escalated to $5...a month.  To be honest, I just could never see any real advantage to that deal, or the club.

Where this threat from the BLM might go?  Maybe they'd show up with ten women as a protest unit.

If you asked Whitehouse about the membership....he'd probably tell you that nine out of ten of his top ten campaign contributors....are from the same club.

Just for thrills, this might be interesting to watch.

How I Explain Alien UFO Visits

I sat and watched a podcast the other day, and the key item of discussion....could it be that the aliens in this suggested visitation to Earth (a hot topic around the Pentagon) just be here not as explorers but just private travelers who want some thrill in life, and some alien Jeff Bezos character rigged up a space travel service to bring Org, his girlfiend Logzi and sixty-odd folks to Earth for a year or two of thrills?

It's been on my mind for a week, and to be honest....the idea is actually appealing in various ways.

I could imagine some alien-run corporation like Amazon getting successful....building alien craft, and then hauling aliens off on weird and wild vacation packages.

You might go and drop Org/Logzi off in New Orleans for a week of wild passion, great food, and heavy drinking.  Then they get picked up....taken to London for various shows, and then spend six months on some beach in Thailand to chill out.

Earth being like a West-World.....just better?  Certainly.

The fact that forty different alien civilizations might have 10,000 aliens on Earth presently.....on some long-term holiday vacation package?  Well....why not?

There's probably even a alien run 'TripAdvisor' program which recommends hotels, pubs, and excitement.

Observations

 1. The odds that the Pelosi 6-January Insurrection Commission will be reformed in January of 2023, under a new Speaker of the House (GOP guy), and produce an entirely different report, with no Democrats on the Commission?  I'd say it's better than a 70-percent chance now.  Two conflicting reports in the end?  Yeah.

2.  With various military groups leaving Afghanistan and Iraq....what are the odds of ISIS or the Taliban coming back into the picture?  I'd give that better than a 70-percent chance.  If so....does that mean refugees now come back into the picture....toward Europe?  Absolutely.  I'd already take a estimate that more than 100,000 Afghans try to enter Germany in 2022.

3.  Jewell Jones, Democratic Party state representative from Michigan....used campaign funds to have a 'party' at a strip club.  Now before you go off the handle....this was a fund-raising party and by renting out the room, the incoming folks paid some cash for drinks and a chance meet him.  No one says a word about strippers in the room with the guests or Jones.  Yep, this was all innocent and without much drama.  How much was spent?  The journalists suggest $220.

4.  I've watched probably three minutes of the Olympics up until this point (morning of Thursday).  Zero interest....you can blame Covid, woke crap, etc.

Survey Story

Look, I've tried to make sense out of this story from Minnesota that came out yesterday.  The basic situation is that a teacher (unnamed so far) handed out a survey to fourth-grade kids.  Topic of the survey?  Equity.  Yes, posed to mostly ten-year old kids.

So the chief question....what gender do you identify as?

Kids sat there in the class....confused.  So they asked if it were OK to ask their parents for help in answering the survey.  'No' was the response from the teacher.

It wasn't just one of the questions....various questions were not understood by the fourth-grade crowd.

Naturally, this has gotten a lot of parents upset.

So I pondered upon this.

Most fourth-grade boys are mostly into Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, or Space Ghost.

Most fourth-grade girls are mostly into Barbie, Backstreet Boys, or Taylor Swift.

Out of a 25-student class....there might be one intellectual kid who knows about equity and gender-garbage, and might be answering the questions of the survey.  In the 1970s....you (the whole class itself) would have latched onto 'Marvin' (class genius)....got his input of the answer, and just copied it.

Another student of the 1970s class....'Woody', would have gone home....typed up the survey in a whole fashion....asking if the teacher were to be graded as a Nazi or Fascist.....how do you rate them from one to ten?   He would have handed this in, and that night at home....Teacher Wanda would have read the piece and just freaked out that some kid considered her a '9' as a Nazi.

The question here....exactly what of value are you teaching in school, and would you just be better off with a home-school situation?

As for the answer to the gender question....just always answer that you felt feelings of being a 'Walrus', and would like body/gender modification surgical business to convert over.  Be insistent though....you only want to be a male Walrus, and you want the name Odysseus.

The Letter Story

I sat and read this story several times....from over at Hot Air's site.

So this is the way it goes.

There's this 'letter' that went out from a group called Dallas Justice Now....to a number of parents in a particular white neighborhood in the vicinity of Dallas.  Based on the description....it sounds like it's upscale, and the type of neighborhood where folks drive BMWs, own $100k RVs, and send their kids off to Harvard or Georgetown for college.

The letter goes into detail, but it basically wants these mostly all white parents to STOP sending their kids to high-end or Ivy League colleges.

Chief reason?  To help support Black Lives Matter.  The logic here is that if the rich white kids don't show up....the Ivy League school would be 'forced' to accept black kids.

So I sat pondering over this.

First, is this a legit letter?  No one much has ever heard of this Dallas Justice Now group.

Second, if you approached a hundred rich and upper-scale families with this type of scenario....they'd ask you how they could do this and ensure that 'Johnny Jr' or 'Wanda Jean' could get ahead in life without the Georgetown or Princeton diploma?

Third, even if they did this......wouldn't the second tier white families....the ones making $75k a year on salary simply take up the space vacated by the ultra rich families?   Or maybe the ultra rich Latino families would do this?

Fourth, where the hell did the Dallas Justice Now group get the mailing addresses from?

Fifth and final.....if this letter came to your house, and Wanda Jean (being 16 and all hyped-up to attend Harvard in two years) stood there listening to your acceptance of this idea.....just how peeved would Wanda Jean get?

Personally, I think the letter is a hoax deal, and probably written by some Republican guy in the same neighborhood.  This is probably the same guy who gives the fake-support hype each week at the local golf club and seems overly supportive of BLM.

Now, if you asked me....out of a hundred families who might get the letter...how many will react?  I'd say between one and zero.  There's probably some wife now trying to convince Johnny Jr.....that attending North Dakota State University isn't such a bad thing.

Stamps Going Up

Last week, even though Congress wasn't that enthusiastic over the idea....the Post Office announced that stamp prices would go up (from 55 to 58 cents).  Around early September, this will happen.

As a teenage kid (1975), I remember the price being at 10 cents.  That's how far the economy has really changed in 46 years.

I would speculate by 2030....it'll be fairly close to 80 cents.

You have to ask yourself....are we using Postal Service that much?  In a normal year now....I probably mail a total of seven to ten items....that's a quarter of what I was doing in 1985.  On deliveries....90-percent occur by Fedex, DHL, or some German special delivery deal.

I might go and speculate that ten-percent of the population get no more than one piece of mail per week today.

The idea of published catalogs?  Why?  You can go online and search, then purchase your item.

It is a different world than forty years ago..

Public Safety Story

For several days, there's been this ballot referendum from Minneapolis that has been on my mind.  It's pushed up by the city council, and will be voted up later in the year by residents of the city.

The general wording?  The police department would basically go away.

What you'd have is a safety department.

Composition?  'Licensed' police officers, mental health responders, substance abuse specialists, violence 'interrupters' and violence prevention professionals.

I've sat and reviewed the idea, and the composition.

Generally, I see five problems:

1.  Manpower-wise, you'd probably have to double the number of folks that you have presently as police, to make this effectively work.  Tax revenue-wise....it will take an incredibly large group, and cost value.....to put this into action.

2.  If I were a violence 'interrupter'....brought to a scene and the guy is drugged-up to the max....the odds are that this will get violent in a matter of minutes, and I'm not armed or trained to the degree required....so I expect the violence 'interrupter' crowd to meet a violent situation in ten-percent of cases.

3.  If you took the Floyd-case....who would have been called?  Well....the standard police in this new era because this was all about a stupid counterfeit $20 that Floyd didn't want to discuss.

4.  Man-hours on each event?  Where the cops might figure 90 minutes for a messed-up situation....under this situation, you might be talking about three to four hours.

Hostile drugged-up husband?  Wife calls 9-1-1.  Mental health guy responds, and meets up with a very violent husband.  This will be a very case to spiral out of control quickly.

5.  Finally, where is the authority figure?  Normally, authority rests with the police.  If some 'violence interrupter' guy shows up and flashes a badge.....you will ask the guy....are you the police?  He'll say no, and you will disrespect the guy by walking away.  That will be standard public attitude.

I see this referendum passing, and in a matter of two years....the cost of public safety in Minneapolis will soar to double what the cost is today.  I'll also predict that a quarter of the residents will view the change in a negative way.....plan an exodus from the city, and the experiment will be deemed a failure after four years.  The failure will mostly revolve more violent acts than before and the cost factor being too much for residents to handle.

So to a final note, which I found odd....the change that is proposed....has a little sentence in it....which says that the police that would exist after the transformation....would be more or less run/managed by the city council themselves...NOT the police chief.

You would hire someone who would just 'pretend' to be the chief, but in reality...some city council member could walk into the central control room....via a situation and just demand that officers 'stand-down'.....there would be no standard way of handling a mess....you'd just invent a new management view each day and leave people guessing how the chips may fall.

In some ways....it's a bit amusing and looks like a transformation into Mogadishu....one clan family over another, just depending the day of the week.

Biden's Suggestion

One of the comments from President Biden during the town hall of this past week....concerns the comment 'we don't have near enough people handling the mentally-ill and the drug addicted folks in America'.

I've sat there for a fair amount of time pondering the statement.

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) says just in general....one out of five Americans have some form of mental illness.  That's 51.5-million Americans.  At the more serious level....they figure it's five-percent of the nation or 13-million.

NSDUH says that around (2017 survey) 19.7-million Americans had a drug addiction of some type.

You add the numbers up....it's around 33-million folks that would be in this concept of President Biden's idea.....where people would be handling the group.

The chief problem here?  Under his idea....these people deserve help....whether they want it or not. If you went up to the 33-million and said here's your big chance in life....I'd be skeptical that you even got 10-percent of the group being agreeable for one massive rehab deal.

In the case of the paranoid schizophrenic folks....you might be better off just housing them in a quiet facility....away from the general public. Once you explained that idea to the general public....probably sixty-percent of them would freak out and say 'no way'.

So the suggestion that President Biden made?   A noble act?  More or less....yeah.  We all have crazy uncles, nutty neighbors who mow the lawn in a precise fashion, co-workers who disappear on a four-day period once a year while using heroin or LSD, friends who go nuts when traveling on planes, associates who do weed four times a day to handle their anxiety/stress levels, and cousins who have lived under bridges in Los Angeles for the past seven years.

It's just that it'd take a massive army to cover the issue, and if the problem-person doesn't want the enforced recovery....then what?

A Movie

This past week....'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' came to Netflix.  It was my first time viewing it.....I've watched it three times since that evening.  If you haven't seen the movie....I'd heavily endorse a viewing.

First, to the subject of it being a Tarantino production?  He tends to produce masterpieces, and the type that you want to go back to for a second viewing.  He puts effort into the dialog, the characters, the story, and the ending.

Second, to the subject of this being a 'what-if' situation....where in 1969, things unfold, and the Manson crowd will go and screw with the wrong people on that fateful evening, and the 'Cliff Booth-character' (Brad Pitt) is dished out over the whole movie as being a guy who never fulfills his destiny.  In this 'what-if' ending.....Cliff ends up meeting Tex and two of the teenage Manson gals, and things really don't go well for the Manson team.

Third, in the last third of the movie, Tarantino introduces you to Cliff's moments at the 'ranch' where the Manson crowd are hanging out.  In some odd way, Tarantino labels them in a way as 'woke' and consumed with their version of reality.

It's a five-minute scene where you really think hard over this scene, and today's reality with woke-idiots.

Between Charlie's talks, the drugs, and the continual indoctrination.....none of the ladies at the ranch have any respect.  They've lost their ability to grasp reality or to handle real-life situations.   Tarantino gives you the 'ladies' using bully-tactics, condemnation, and threats....to get their points across (the same as the woke-crowd today).

The fifteen minutes of the movie?  It is ultra violent and you are fairly shocked over how Cliff, his dog, Rick Dalton and 'Brandy' are going to handle the situation with Tex and the two ladies.

So I'm left with this long pondering situation over Charlie's 'gang'.  All of them went through some type of mind-melt or brainwash.  None of them ever showed this significant amount of violence before this event.  They were cultivated, charmed, and simply became pro-Charlie (no matter what).

I'll recommend the movie, but just say clearly.....after it ends, you probably need a half bottle of wine, and will go back to contemplate five different scenes in the movie.

Eventualities

This is an essay over ten things that I anticipate will become eventualities.

1.  Shortly after the 2024 election, and going into the 2025 spring....I anticipate that Youtube, Twitter and Facebook will be given an order to 'clean-up' their mess, refuse, and all will be yanked off the internet for a seven-day period (to which the GOP President will suggest that 'children' get a time-out).

2.  Half of NFL football teams by 2024 will confess that they are not financially viable.  While enlarging their Chinese audience....getting American fans into the arenas is now a major problem.  'Big' contracts are not a common thing anymore.

3.  President Biden, after the 2022 mid-terms, draws a circle, and lessens his public appearances.  By mid-2023, you only see him once a month in a tightly controlled situation.  No more town halls.  No more open Q and A sessions.

4.  The 6th of January 'truth-commission' issues a 2,000 page report in October of 2022.  Six months later, journalists ask around and discover that literally no one in DC has read the entire document.

5.  The vast majority of TV production companies leave California for either Florida or Texas by the end of 2022.

6.  As the fall of Afghanistan occurs....an exodus of Afghans occur, with more than half-a-million trying to make their way via various routes to Germany.

7.  A gang thug leader gets himself onto the DC mayor's list for the next election and shocks people by getting 30-percent of the vote.  His chief slogan?  "Stop the hate."

8.  A new fact-check association arrives....only to check fact-checkers themselves.

9.  A test is applied to a west coast university over history, to which 90-percent of the 18-year olds are regarded as lacking.  In response, the university requires two non-credit history classes in the first year.  Students completing the two courses....are shocked over history.

10.  Stores in America by mid-August....admit that various school supplies are on back-order and still on ships coming from China....as the new school year starts.  Students are shocked to be told....write on the back of sheets to save resources.

Quote of the Week

“If you're vaccinated, you’re not going to die.”

- President Joe Biden

Yeah, he actually did say that.  He was told that by the scientists I guess, and he said to trust the scientists.

On the 'misinformation-index' (one to ten)....I'd say it's pretty close to a eight.  But you know.....maybe it's good misinformation....to help you when you feel weak, or disgruntled.

You go into work, and hype it to your co-workers.  You go to church, and hype it to your Baptist associates.  You go into the honky-tonk, and hype it to the tube-top ladies.  You tell it to Grandma, the neighbors, your transmission mechanic, the burger-gal, your Choctaw Indian friend, and even your dog.

Maybe it serves a purpose of some type.  I doubt if the dog believes you though....he'll be worried about your situation.

Ten Tips If You Are Going to Lecture People

 1.  If you intend to lecture people on business, you better know the topic.  The same goes for lecturing people on drug use, taxes, farming, nutrition, homelessness, or resolving conflict.

2.  If you use the phrase 'you-better-believe-the-experts' or 'you-better-believe-the-scientists'....your lecture is doomed.

3.  If you intend to lecture and this revolves around a COST of some type....you better know the exact amount of cost, and just NOT say it's 'minimum'.

4.  If you are using a Hollywood 'puppet' as part of the lecture....you might as well use quotes from Mighty Mouse, Huckleberry Hound, or Space Ghost.

5.  If it takes you more than ten minutes of talking to get your chief lecture point across....you probably failed.

6.  If you lecture people and say the phrase....'civilization will be destroyed in a single decade'.....people now start to laugh and not take your talk serious.

7.  Fidel Castro is famous for lecture speeches....on one occasion, he actually went 7.5 hours with his lecture.  There's no indication that folks who started listening....stayed with him for the entire lecture.  You kinda need to wrap up a lecture in 30 minutes or less.

8.  If your idea is to lecture people....day in....day out....five days a week, then your 'business' will ultimately fail.  People can't consume that amount of lecture.

9.  Mixing religion, politics or health matters into a lecture is risky business.  You may very well wake up....to find half your audience gone because they considered your lecture to be a joke, and they won't return.

10.  A comedian can lead a lecture just as well as some four-star general, or some PhD scientist.

(secret tip: If your business is NFL football, and the football  side of things becomes the secondary topic, while your lecture is the primary topic.....your business is finished).

Town Hall Chatter

At some point in the past twelve hours, someone finally put up the 72-minute town hall meeting with President Biden on YouTube (no, it wasn't CNN who did it).

So I tried to view it, and finally gave up around minute 45.  My chief three observations:

1.  There's just nothing to take away from the 45 minutes I watched.  No new policy ideas, no new enthusiasm, nothing.  If he were selling something....you were buying the same stuff from 2020's campaign.

2.  The Covid-chatter?  Basically, you need to obey the scientists.  Biden professes he believes the scientists....you should too.

3.  There's probably 50-odd occasions in that 45 minutes I watched....where Biden was halfway through a comment/thought process....then stops for two to four seconds, and then renders some different comment/analysis.  It was like someone hit a button, to reset his brain.  This was the chief reason why I gave up at the 45-minute point....I couldn't handle this continual 're-boot'.

My general belief....he has to be on some type of drug which affects thinking and analysis, and he can't give you 100-percent, or for that matter...even 90-percent of his capability.

As for Don Lemon, the moderator?  At some point, Biden walks up to him....probably within three feet and you can see Don take a half-step back (maybe fearful of Covid....maybe fearful that Joe was going to intentionally bump him).  I think Don gave the best he could....under the circumstances.

The half-filled hall?  Well....it's best not to bring that up.

My advice?  Either they halt these town hall meetings entirely....or they start them at 8 AM when Biden is refreshed and full-power.

At least when a Obama Town Hall episode ended....you kinda got some form of enthusiasm....things weren't that bad....new horizon coming....'we-can-do-it' was the end product.  You didn't feel any of that from this Town Hall episode.

Thursday 22 July 2021

Observations

 1. It's just odd....usually after a Presidential Town Hall meeting.....they put the whole thing up on YouTube...ALL of it.  Today....18 hours later....nothing.  You get a minute here...five minutes there.....all cut to some small portion.

Just odd.  It's CNN's work, and you'd think they'd want people to have a chance to view it.

2.  VP Harris made a comment about a voting rights bill going around in the Senate, and voiced the comment that she'd talked to folks from BOTH parties.  Some reporter stood up and asked what Republican she talked to.  She didn't answer the question.  Maybe she chatted with them....maybe not.

3.  So there's this ballot initiative floating around the DC city council which says that it'd be OK to create African American 'autonomous zones' in DC.  What does this really mean?  Well....in that 'zone'....you'd have your own black mayor and black city council folks.

So does it sound like some South African tribal 'zone'?  When you sit and think about it.....yeah....it does sound that way.

What's odd about this idea?  When I lived there (2010 to 2013)....the past five or six mayors had all been black, and 90-percent of the city council members since the 2000 era....were black.  So if you asked me....maybe they should just appoint DC already (entirely) a tribal or autonomous zone?

Doing this in New Orleans, Memphis, Chicago, Detroit, Birmingham.....just making them tribal or autonomous zones?

Don't worry....I doubt if this would pass.

4.  I noticed some grocery chain CEO stood up today and said that prices will surge in October 10 to 14 percent.

5.  Just odd how these state border re-alignment groups keep multiplying now.  About every six months.....the pro-change-the-border groups double in size.  I'm waiting for some neighborhood group in NY City to want a status change and be included into Alabama.

The Truth About This Pelosi-6 January-'Truth Commission'

Basically, Grandma baked up a pie...set it on the window to cool off, and someone stole.  So Grandma is calling the Scooby Doo-team in, and they know the drill....just blame the neighbor kid but lengthen this enough that Grandma bakes a dozen pies just for the Scooby team.

This whole effort works like the Warren Commission over JFK's assassination, except the FBI and Justice Department are already on the case, and doing their job.  Now, if you think they are incapable of doing their job....then the Scooby Doo-team makes sense.  But so far, no one has suggested that.

Pelosi refused two of the Republican's suggested members to the team....so they came back yesterday and said they just weren't going to participate.  So it's simply a one-sided Scooby Doo-team.

Will anyone cooperate and testify?  Not unless you work up a deal and drop charges on them.

Will the Capital Police chief and leadership admit they screwed up?  No.

Will Pelosi be asked questions?  No.

So this Scooby Doo-team script is already basically written out?  Yeah.

When will the report be finalized?  I would imagine around 30 days before the November 2022 mid-term election.  It'll be page one news on CNN for at least a month.

Will anyone really care?  That's the question.

If there is a serious Republican win in November's mid-term....won't that start another truth-commission/Scooby Doo team?  Well....yeah, and it'll center on Biden (both Joe and Hunter), and maybe even look at Antifa.

I'd start to prepare myself....every two years, another Scooby Doo team investigation, and probably more truth than you can ever handle.  Here's the chief problem....we probably need to know the truth about the truth.

The Next Downward Step of the NFL?

A couple of days ago....I saw this news piece....the NFL says that it will play the song widely recognized as the Black national anthem (Lift Every Voice) before every 2021-2022 season game.

Blacks universally agreeing on this 'national anthem'?  Well....no.

Likely to draw criticism and physical acts to counter the 'anthem'?  I would suggest that some in the stadiums will stand and turn 180 degrees....putting their backs to the field area.

The odds that some will render another song instead?  I could see some rendering a rendition of ABBA's 'Money, Money, Money'.....or the Beatles 'It's Been a Hard Day's Night'.

The possibility that some viewers will start the telecast by muting the sound and watching the entire game in silence?  That might happen.

The odds that the Latinos/Hispanic announce that they want their 'anthem', that the Chinese community will want their 'anthem' played....that the southern whites will want their 'anthem' played.....that the Boston community will want their 'anthem' played....and so on?  I'd give it pretty goods that by the sixth week of this....this issue will arise.

That idea that NFL football will be about football?  Gone.  Maybe it's not such a bad thing for it to just dissolve away.

On the Topic of Art

This morning, I went looking for examples of Hunter Biden artwork.  It's been in the news lately, and Hunter is apparently making some 'cash/loot' for the paintings.

My impression?  If you type in Hunter Biden art.....Google will come up and give you at least five paintings.

First, it's weird stuff that you might draw, if you were on LSD or Crack.

Second, it kinda reminds one of Vasily Kandinsky or Pablo Picasso....simple stuff....maybe a dozen colors....the stuff you could start at 9 AM and have done at 5 PM.

Third, in towns like Tucson or Austin....at a local art show.....this kinda stuff would max out at $400.....not $400k.

Fourth and final....if this were a 18-year old kid's work....you'd likely advise him to stick with his regular job and just do this as a evening hobby.

So if you were to buy one or two....say for $250k each....would they hold value?  I just don't see how.

Observations

 1.  Did President Biden say yesterday at a townhall meeting....“The idea you need a weapon that can have the ability to fire 20, 30, 40, 50, 120 shots from that weapon, whether it’s a 9mm pistol or whether it’s a rifle, is ridiculous. I’m continuing to push to eliminate the sale of those things.”?

Yes, he said that.  Never mind the fact that US Army, Marines, most police departments and even the Secret Service use the 9mm pistol.

One side note for this townhall meeting....the room was half full.  Several reporters commented on this.  Held in Ohio apparently.

2.  The $1.2 trillion dollar infrastructure bill in trouble?  Well....Senate Republicans have blocked it.  So it's just lingering there.  Maybe it gets picked up again.....for a lesser amount.

3.  President Biden says he knows twelve folks who've been providing misinformation on Covid.  The problem is....he never names the dozen.  So it's kinda like that 1950s 'drama' with people finding communists working for the government, but never really identifying them.

4.  This Prince Harry business about writing a memoir about how he became a MAN, at age 36?  Generally, folks don't write memoirs until they get up into their fifties or sixties.  Generally, folks don't write memoirs to identify how they matured until they've actually accomplished something.

For some reason, I just don't see this book selling too far, or demonstrating much of anything.

Reversing the Role

Lets say that 2109 has arrived, and a mission has arrived in this far distant system, where a Earth-like planet exists.  So as the approach starts to occur....radio reception picks up tens of thousands of signals, and the 'boys' in the craft now realize that this is another civilization.

So they pull out the handbook, and it goes down to a dozen 'rules'.  Three key rules will exist....(1) do not make contact until you have surveyed the situation, (2) hide your craft with the use of moons, and (3) limit radio communications.

After a while, you will decide that surveying up-close will be necessary....meaning to send a team into orbit, and land probably in their ocean...hiding your craft there.

This survey may take weeks, months or years, and the do-not-introduce yourself rule will always be enforced.

So you take this whole book of rules and expectations, and it's exactly what I'd expect of any alien visitation on Earth.

Why would you excite folks unnecessarily?  Adding to the mess.....you don't want to let them know that you might be 1,000 years more advanced.

Explaining This 'Pegasus' Scandal

Back around ten years ago, this spy software came up on the market, and was supposed to be used on 'bad' guys.  It was developed by an Israeli company (NSO Group).

Somewhere in the process of things....the software (loadable on tabs, smart-phones, etc)....catches key-strokes and phone-numbers.

So the user list went past just plain bad guys, and started to include journalists, businessmen, and human rights type folks.

The odds that politicians have been monitored?  No one talks much over that but if you look at the various 'users'....it wouldn't take much to monitor all 100 US Senators.  Monitoring of Secret Service personnel?  Same story.  Watching bankers and investment folks.....for trends?  Same story.

Over the next six months, I expect hundreds of folks to discover their chats were intercepted, and this becomes a big deal.

My Seven Problems With CNN

 1.  About fifty percent of the news coverage now seems more like a lecture, than an actual news report.

2.  The CNN will take a fairly routine story with five simple facts....which ought to take 3 minutes to lay out.....but they turn this into a 9 minute report.  Then they bring two 'experts', who spend another six to eight minutes on the same five facts.  Finally, the grand guru steps in and spends five minutes drilling down into the same five facts.

3.  CNN is incapable of telling you a balanced report.....most of the news analysts are going to a one-sided story.

4.  About a quarter of all of the journalists you see on CNN....aren't that bright, and I could probably perform at their level or better myself.

5.  For 2020, the bulk of all CNN coverage was Trump and Covid.  No kidding.

6.  Some of these 'experts' who appear....marginally know anything about their expert topic.  This makes you wonder how CNN found them or the amount of review in the process.

7.  If anything negative comes up about the Democratic Party....it's probably better than 80-percent chance that the negativity will never be mentioned by CNN.

Sunday 18 July 2021

Observations

 1.  So when these Texas legislative democrats packed up and 'ran' off from the state....on a private plane....to DC, I noted that they wanted an image of themselves on the plane.  The photo?  It's about fifteen of them, unmasked and waving (while on the plane).  Breaking Covid rules?  Well....YEAH.

So word comes out last night that 3 of the folks (sitting in DC) now have Covid.  No one is saying they are in dire Covid, or mild Covid...just that they tested positive.  The odds that the majority will be tested by tomorrow and show the virus?  I'd take a wild guess that it's better than 50-percent.  The photo image now?  It really hurts their cause a good bit.

2.  Gunfire at the MLB game in DC?  Somewhere in the 6th inning....folks could hear 3 shots fire, and immediately people took cover.  Current info is that 3 folks were wounded.

Having been to the stadium in the past, I'll just note that they built it on the far SE end of DC, in a questionable area.

3.  Biden is basically unable to explain why he has two separate and unequal asylum/migrant policies (regular Latinos - OK, Cubans and Haitians - NOT OK).

It's almost like a racist agenda.

Vote Story

If you go by what's being said in Phoenix....the odds of 3,387,326 people voted in November of 2020....is now nearing a question mark.

The 2016 election results.....just for reference, in AZ?  2,604,657 people voted.  So it's a 700k extra vote occurring?  Yes.

Some folks are suggesting to recall the electors, and stage a new election.....to which there is nothing in the state or national constitution to really handle this type of mess.

Sending people off to prison?  It doesn't appear that you can point to any single person to identify them for one extra vote, or ten extra votes, or even a hundred-thousand extra votes.

My humble guess?  The state legislature as a minimum, will zeroized the outcome, with the 3.3-million votes thrown out.  How the news people handle this?  Unknown.

The problem here....this 'update' will trigger at least two additional states to review the same issues, and probably come to the same outcome....zeroing their vote outcome as well.  You may very well wake up by December...finding that the total vote zeroed out is around nine-million-plus votes.

If you wanted to collapse trust in the system that exists....it's a pretty dynamic way of accomplishing that.

'Reichstag Moment' Chatter

I had to sit and read through a piece concerning comments of an idiot four-star Army general (head of the Joint Chiefs)....who commented that the 6th of January event...was a 'Reichstag-moment'.

So to explain the Reichstag situation....around early November 1932...another German election occurred.  This was the 3rd in two years.  It's safe to say that the German political landscape was falling apart.

The 'winner' of this election?  The Nazi Party, but with only 33-percent of vote (remember, they do a number of parties in German politics).  So Hitler went to an attempt to form a government (partnering with some other parties).  He had to reach a compromise situation....agreeable to partners.

From the 6th of November until the third week of January 1933....this back-and-forth business went on.  Then the coalition was settled.

Around four weeks after this coalition settlement....on a Monday night (27 Feb 1933)....a fire started up at the Reichstag (capital building)...around 9 PM.

To best sum up the fire....there was a fair amount of wood work in the structure, and it burned pretty easily.  Somewhere within the structure....as the fire was downsized, police came upon this one Dutch guy.  The guy would be identified as a communist party supporter.

This guy (Marinus van der Lubbe) has an interesting history.  As a teen, he ended up as a apprentice bricklayer.  Around 1926, at a job....he got lime in his eyes and became mostly blind.  There in the Netherlands, he went on unemployment comp.  He ends up as a organizer for a Lenin group.  For a four-year period, he ends up as a central figure in strikes. The government has various charges up against him, but never seems able to put him into prison (begs questions).

Somehow, without a lot of explanation....he ends up down in Berlin....caught in the Reichstag.  The general talk is that he wanted the fire to energize anti-Nazi feelings.

The police would end up putting this Dutch guy, along with the head of the German Communist Party and three Bulgarian Communists into a court session.

The court wrapped up the mess...convicting the Dutch guy....acquitting the four others, and executing the Dutch guy 10 January 1934.  Age at the time?  25.

So here's the chief problem....historians all argue about the fire, and there's a lot of speculation over what actually happened.

Did the Dutch guy do it by himself?  Was there a broader conspiracy tied to this?  Could the Nazi apparatus have arranged for Dutch guy to get drawn into this and 'arranged' for him to have set the fire?  These are all still on the table today, with no clear conclusion.

About the only fact that you can glean is that the Dutch guy was in the interior of the building and was likely the person who set the fire. Beyond that....it's a question-mark.

So here is the curious thing that occurred the day after the fire....a decree went out.  The text?

"Articles 114, 115, 117, 118, 123, 124 and 153 of the Constitution of the German Reich are suspended until further notice. It is therefore permissible to restrict the rights of personal freedom [habeas corpus], freedom of (opinion) expression, including the freedom of the press, the freedom to organize and assemble, the privacy of postal, telegraphic and telephonic communications. Warrants for House searches, orders for confiscations as well as restrictions on property, are also permissible beyond the legal limits otherwise prescribed."

Before the smoke had even cleared....suspension of basic civil rights were terminated.  The speed from which this was done?  Kinda shocking.

From that point on....the downfall of Germany was set.

The chief question?  You kinda wonder if this was scripted out to bring this blind Dutch guy into Berlin, and arrange for him to think he was doing some 'good' deed, and he was simply the fall-guy.

So when this Pentagon general is uttering 'Reichstag moment'....without thinking much about it....he is suggesting a broad conspiracy might exist.  If so....who is the Dutch guy in this situation, and who arranged for him to be in the Capital building?

Just something to think about.

Governor Ivey and 'No' to Vaccine Incentives

From my home state of Alabama....Governor Ivey came out yesterday and said in a blunt way....'NO' to any incentives to Alabamians to get the Covid-19 vaccination.  We are of course around number fifty in the states, on the getting the vaccination rate done.  Some Alabamians would argue that there are more dogs in the state vaccinated....than people.

For several weeks...journalists and pro-vaccinate folks were pushing that the state needed some kind of 'bonus-deal' or incentive....never being clear what it'd be....to get folks fixed up.

I paused over this and put my mind to the list of things that might have convinced Alabamians to cross the line and get the two-shot deal:

1.  A slip signed by the Baptist Association guarantying you entry into Heaven....even if you did frequent saloons/bars/strip-joints.

2.  A 40-pound bag of dry dog food.

3.  A free ticket to a University of Alabama football game (it might be over a period of ten years though).

4.  A lottery chance of winning one of three-hundred shotguns.

5.  A dinner-date with Governor Ivey.

6.  A free chainsaw for one of twenty new vaccinated folks.

7.  A signed photo by former President Trump.

8.  A free bus-ticket from your town to the state capital.

9.  Free banjo lessons.

10.  One seat for the newly vaccinated folks to ride the lead car at the next Talladega race.

Who or What was Jim Crow in Actuality?

Around the late 1820s....this young guy....Thomas Dartmouth "Daddy" Rice (he was around age 19) started up with a tour group of entertainers....traveling through the US.

Rice would be what you'd call a traveling comedian today.  Rice had this character that he developed....which would eventually be given the title name 'Jim Crow'.

I should note....that originally as a teenage apprentice, he was signed up as a wood carver, and this didn't really interest him much....so he fell back onto being a comedian.

He'd apply blackface, and go through a song-dance routine, and then perform some comedy routines....as a black slave lowly-intelligent guy.

Around 1832 (age 24), his routine hit the big-time.  Wherever he went....the theater was sold out.  It was a magnificent lifestyle and character that he'd developed.

For about a dozen years.....the 'Jim Crow' character was the basis of his act, and turned a fair amount of profit.

At some point in 1840....he started to have health issues (differing views, but it would appear like some type of drug/alcohol mix).  His speech ability started to lessen and he had physical movement issues.  Personally, I think he had a stroke of some type.

Like most guys from the era....he likely drank to an excessive amount, and that probably led to his health issues.

He died in 1860 at age 52.  His last ten years.....probably spiraling down each single year.

So this Jim Crow character....starting up in 1832 and ending in the 1840s....is the starting point of this whole discussion?  Yeah.  Lots of people watched the act there in the east coast, along with renditions done in England as well.  They remember the black-faced character and the act.

If you asked most politicians today...I'd guess 99.9-percent have no idea where it really started from.

I should state for the record....Rice grew up in Manhattan, NY.

Freedom of Speech: One of the Five Main Topics of the 2024 Election Cycle?

If you had suggested this in 2010....90-percent of people would have laughed, and it would have been a big joke.

Today?  If you asked people generally around the US....because of the negativity with Facebook, Twitter, etc....freedom of speech comes up almost daily now.

So there are three questions here if you think about the consequences of this election topic:

1.  Can Joe Biden or his replacement run on a pro-freedom of speech agenda?

2.  How would you herd Facebook, Twitter and the group.....into this topic of discussion?

3.  Can the majority of Americans handle freedom of speech at this point?

The comical side of this....various segments of society will come around to the idea that can't support freedom  of speech....admitting it in a blunt way, and trying to persuade you that it's best to just say 'no' to the basic idea.

This VP Harris View of Rural People

 Basically, it's a bubble.

You have a person who has lived the past thirty years of their life within a bubble, and has an opinion of certain people (not just the rural types).

So in her world....if you live in the rural regions, you don't have access to a copy machine, technology, crypto currency, Blu-ray players, sensors, solar panels, etc.  If you walked around DC, you'd probably find a quarter of the Senators/House members, who fall into this category of thinking.

This is one of those reasons why I think DC should force their people to travel around the nation or their home state at least sixty days out of the year....to connect to reality.

The problem for Harris now?  Well...you can imagine the 2024 advertisement campaign.....how Harris thinks you rural folks are third-world residents.  So she'll have to respond to that, and reassure folks that they are at the same level as city-folks.

This Whole ID Discussion (My Ten Observations)

 1.  Factually, you can't cite any evidence that 1-percent or 10-percent of society have NO ID.

2.  State by state, region by region.....it will differ.  If you asked me about Alabama, I'd take a logical guess that around 99.9 percent of people (adults) have an ID.  The folks without an ID?  Prisoners, people living under bridges, Mennonites and folks in some mental facility.

3.  Trying to cash a check or open a bank account without a ID?  You can't do it.  There's around thirty-odd functions in life....like buying booze, smokes, or getting tags for your car....where it can't be done without an ID.

4.  By age thirty, I had around six different IDs on me (thanks to the Air Force lifestyle).  I counted today, and have around six valid IDs (counting that stupid German driver's license, and the visa I must always carry with me).

5.  I suspect that if you went by racial 'counts'.....more blacks have an ID than whites or Latinos.

6.  Every single time that the Democrats go to fight this situation....to prevent the ID requirement....I keep thinking....how does this poor guy survive without an ID to buy beer, or Jack Daniels?

7.  I used to have an Air Force entry-card (for a secure facility) which had a middle name of 'Sanchez' on it (no, my middle name is NOT Sanchez)...it was a screw-up with the kid making the card.  For three years, I used this to enter the facility....until one day the guard wanted me to show a second ID, and confiscated my 'Sanchez' card.

8.  Every single country in the EU....mandates that you need a state-manufactured ID....to vote (no exceptions).  In my mind, our position is the same as Paraguay or Bolivia.

9.  The odds that around the US.....over 10-million Americans have a minimum of one fake ID on themselves, with a fake name?  Probably better than 50-percent of a chance.

10.  Couldn't we just issue a one-time check (like stimulus cash) to pay for a state ID for everyone?  It seemed so easy for those Covid-stimulus checks......this wouldn't be rocket science..

My Three Problems With the Hunter Biden Art 'Stuff'

 1.  If you bought the Hunter art piece for $330,000....what happens to it?  Do you place it in the office building hallway, your den, or in some art museum?

2.  After you buy it.....does it hold value?  I mean.....if three years pass, and the $400,000 art comes up for re-sale.....does it only sell for $99?  Can you even write it off on taxes as a loss?

3.  In 500 years, will Hunter art be listed at $10-million and treated like Van Gogh art, or will be be worth $9 at some local flea market?

Humble view:  On the money-laundering level....this is probably the most brilliant idea in a hundred years.  A drug cartel could set 'George' up with a brush, and a fake museum could buy his work weekly, stage reviews at the museum, and even talk about culture.

Just Something You Notice

After a while (viewing TV, reading newspapers, listening to 'experts')....people seem pepped-up to be concerned over health, sanitation, hygiene, saving-the-world, etc).

If you asked around today, it's probably an all-time record of guys wearing condoms.

You might be sitting at McDonalds, and your co-worker or scripture-quoting girlfriend will start talking over sodium content or fat.

It surprises you as the HR people now announce some new company policy over health, and you are shocked to discover all the soda machines in the building have removed regular sodas and placed health drinks instead.

Social distancing has become so routine....you even arrive at home and treat the dog this way.....leaving them standing there with a puzzled look.

In some funny way, this all has become one single big cult.....with no real grasp of reality, just the wonderful thrill-feeling of helping to manage you.

Sunday 11 July 2021

Observations

 1.  With all this chatter by people on Hunter Biden's artwork (that he himself painted) and sells for hundreds of thousands.....did you notice that not a single art critic has offered commentary?

2.  Governor Cuomo of NY says the outrage over Critical Race Theory is fake.  After you sit and ponder for a while, you then realize that Cuomo's outrage over the outrage....is probably fake.

3.  At some point in the past week....President Biden was given a chance to comment over the fine work of his chief of Health and Human Services.  It was a great moment to mention the guy and his work.  But at this moment....the President's brain freeze occurred, and he couldn't remember the guy's name.  After a few seconds, he did utter 'Xavier', but he probably started thinking of the Marvel character 'Doctor Xavier'....then he uttered 'Mr Secretary' instead.

4.  There's an interesting publication from last year....gleaned from data of 2018, which says.....from all the people in the US who are below the poverty level....60-percent of them are white.  The number two group?  Latinos at 18.5-percent.  Blacks only make up 12-percent.

5.  It is odd...over the past three to five years, a number of folks stood up and spoke to the idea that a number of master's degrees are worthless.  Their meaning?  The two years and likely $50,000 of cost doesn't necessarily translate into better job opportunities or better pay.  The system....for whatever it's worth....has evolved.  So this two year period of effort....might be totally worthless?  Yeah, and that ought to bother the university system a fair bit....if they can't convince you this is of value.....they'd have to lay off thousands of professors with no true value.

The Wave of Lecturing

Probably around 2012....I reached some point while viewing the news media and social commentary.....where I felt lectured on a daily basis.

Politicians, sports people, social justice warriors, news people, doctors, etc.....were all jumping on the lecture wagon.

At some point in the mid-1990s....while still in the Air Force, I sat in an exam room and got a three-minute lecture by some military doctor.  About six months would pass and I'd be back in the exam room with another doctor, who also wanted to lecture me....which I stopped about 30 seconds into this and just told the guy my time was valuable and I didn't need BS....urging him to get to the exam business.

Am I anti-lecture today?  Yes, to a significant degree.

If I'm in a airport situation and forced to view CNN....I slip into the anti-lecture mood, and try to find a corner where I can't view the monitor.

If I'm flipping channels and get to a point where something interesting is on....I'm ready to hit 'mute' the minute that the lecture starts up.

I don't want the Channel twelve weather guy to lecture me on climate change.  I don't want the deacon of such-and-such local church to lecture me on 'fake good will'.  I don't want fake lectures from some Congressman or Doctor-Doom-type on Covid-19.  I don't want some Captain Star-Tripper lecturing me over life or death.

Looking back....in the 1970s/1980s....I probably didn't ever get the five-star lecture treatment, and when I did....it was just a once-a-week type of experience.  Today?  I'll suggest at least forty lectures a day, and some are pretty intense.

A phobia about lectures?  Maybe....but the question, how would you treat a patient like that?  Send them  off to Montana for a month of isolation?

Roughly 7,200 Days in Afghanstan

 What's the end-result?  Nothing.

Maybe with President Bush's vision.....we would go to the ends of the Earth for Osama, but there was no clear point of success.  This chatter of changing Afghanistan?  It was talked about from the prospective of people who knew nothing of the country, or the past.

This past week, we ended the American Army participation.

My general prediction?  In less than one year, the Taliban will control 90-percent of the country....with the region around Kabul, the only independent area left.  If you asked me about the future....within five years...another Osama-like character will arise out of the region, and things will likely repeat themselves all over again.

My Script on Biden's Spiral in 2023

Generally, I see four problems plaguing the Biden team going in 2022, the mid-terms, and arriving in 2023 in a 'wounded' state of being.  The four issues?

1.  Whether they like to believe it or not...the immigrant/border chaos has developed into a top-three problem, with almost no way to settle or clean up the mess.

2.  The economy is going into a recession....with very little that the Biden team can do....other than writing more stimulus checks.

3.  The 'woke-business' has probably turned half the nation into a very negative group, and no way that the Biden leadership dynamics can reset the chaos.

4.  Finally, the dementia issues follow Biden on a weekly basis.  Personally, I have doubts that this is dementia, but I would suggest that he's on some type of prescription drug (simulant) thats making his speech/reasoning ability into a question-mark.  I would also argue that his Monday through Friday schedule now (since day one) is probably the lightest of any President in the past one-hundred years.  No one explains the light schedule or the necessity of this....week after week, after week.

Once the mid-term is wrapped up and the Republicans have a 30-seat majority in the House....I expect some committee to openly discuss impeaching Biden over most of what is Hunter's 'crap'.  Rather than bring up the speech/reasoning ability....they will simply progress on three or four issues, which are directly tied to Hunter's history.

Fear of putting Harris into the Presidency?  I would suggest zero fear, and mostly anticipation that she will screw up the role of President within a matter of weeks.  The new VP?  It wouldn't surprise me if it were offered to Hillary Clinton.

So I would anticipate this impeachment business to start up by October 2023, take at least two months, and leave the news media in a difficult position to explain things....without going into details of Hunter's past history.

All of this making into a massive theatrical production?  No doubt, but it's been a production underway for at least 25 years.

My Advice When the Biden-Covid Guy Comes To Your Door

First, remember that this is probably someone with marginal intelligence and easily manipulated.

Second, offer a simple greeting....like you would with a Jehovah's Witness, magazine sales kid, or a door-to-door Avon lady.

Third, give them a chance to announce themselves.....but at the 20-second part....let them know in a polite way, that this was more than enough on words/chatter.

Fourth, when you give them the polite 'no thanks'....smile.

Five, if they do insist upon another word or two about Covid.....let them know that they are probably within the six foot safety level, and that you've been feeling ill the past day....listing four obvious Covid symptoms.

Six, utter the phrase 'have a nice day', and shut the door.

Seven, call your next-door neighbor immediately and let them know the guy is in the neighborhood.

Eight, be aware that various fake Biden-Covid people will probably come to exist, and mostly are there to either rob you, or trying to convert you in some way. It's not Biden's fault they come to exist.

Nine, if you did want to have some fun....you could make up a fake Covid-hand-out and pose as a Biden-guy.....visiting neighbors.

Joe

This week, the NY Times wrote up 5,000 word 'essay' over criticizing Joe Rogan.

I sat and read through about half of the 'chatter', and could deem it as worthless talk....wondering why even attempt a two-star piece like this?

Is Joe Rogan a journalist?  No.  If you cornered Joe and asked him what he does....he'd probably grin and just says he asks folks questions.

The thing about Joe and his questions....he asks them from the prospective of a guy on the street....a regular guy.  He's not political....nor is he connected to any foundation.  Joe won't even hide the fact that he had a joint (or two) prior to the show starting.

Joe occasionally brings on people that give you unique details or prospectives.....that most all outlets would just skip over.

So....why screw with Joe?  That's really the million-dollar question.

I can probably think of 15,000 other individuals.....higher-up than Joe....that deserve to be screwed with.  The commissioner of baseball....the entire Senate....most of the employees of Google....the Governor of California....President Biden...etc.

Critical Race Theory, and Reality

I tend to view things in the landscape of management.

If I hire you....I kinda expect you to show up on time....be somewhat fit in terms of your mind and body....show some focus and determination in your work....deal with all types of people in your efforts of the day....and want to get ahead in life.

If you show up and your general focus or aspiration is that you feel like a victim....what value are you?

This whole CRT discussion revolves around the idea that something happened over seven generations ago in your family (kinda like the Hatfields and McCoys), and you can't get over that.

I should feel that way....if some Comanche Indian killed three members of my family in the 1840s, or if Nazis killed off an entire group of the family tree in 1940, or if my family were Korean and the Japanese had killed off 90-percent of the family in 1942.

So I see this discussion unfolding....with a fair number of folks trying to live through some past event....not even knowing the name of the relatives in the era under discussion.  Adding to this burden, in the true sense of the word....you can't reset anything or get a new prospective.   Every single day....you stay focused on being a victim of something...never able to proceed or move on.

Oddly enough, if you valued true victims....wouldn't the American Indians come out way ahead on this scale?  Shouldn't we settle differences with them?   What about these Dutch, Germans and English who were brought to the colonies....in a relative sense....aren't they victims as well?

It's an odd discussion....with no real end.

Seven Things I Tend to Believe About Jeffrey Epstein

 1.  On the subjects of technology, investments, and innovations....I have the impression on the scale of one to ten.....that he was marginally at a 'three'.  He may have claimed some things or pretended his skill set on particular things....but there is zero evidence to some vast knowledge level.

2.  I tend to believe he had the ability to judge the weak traits of people better than anyone can imagine.

3.  His skill as a options guy?  I think he was forever out to get advanced information, and be in the position to act before the 'lions' of Wall Street could get into the mix of things.

4.  I think he developed insider sources both in the Justice/Department and the foreign intelligence folks....he was always the insider-to-the-insider on things going on. People were convinced that they were getting ultra-private data and they were probably among a dozen different groups finding out 'something'.

5.  The underage girl thing?  There's probably over 300 American men of 'influence' who unwittingly got into the honey-trap, and were stuck doing favors for Epstein.

6.  The suicide?  Too many people were in trouble, if his case went to court.  As for his notes and video of these individuals?  Someone out there has the content.

7.  His worth upon death?  Unknown.  It was hidden well enough....that no one will ever get a clear accounting.

Biden Team: Door-to-Door 'Outreach' on Vaccination?

Well....the comment was uttered by the administration, and no one is sure what this 'outreach' will mean.

Who would compose this 'outreach'?  Unknown.

What time of the day would 'outreach' be knocking at your door?  Unknown.

Will they go into no-go neighborhoods in Memphis or Chicago?  Unknown.

I can think of forty questions, but none of them would lead to a worthwhile answer.

The odds of a outreach gal having Covid and passing it along to you at the door, on while sitting on your couch (sipping 8-hour brewed coffee and eating some of your Twinkies)?

The odds that a fake outreach effort will occur.....with folks eyeballing your 'stuff'?

Getting paid $25 per house to achieve house visits?  It might happen.

My humble guess is that in a few metropolitan areas (like Georgetown, or Manhattan)....some outreach will occur.  In rural regions of Alabama or Georgia?  No....I just don't see it occurring.

Covid and the End-of-the-World Behavior

After about 500 days of observing the Covid-19 crisis, one comes to the conclusion that we have a lot of people who now see in some strange way....Covid being the end-of-the-world type of chaos.

You could walk into an arena with 500 people now infected with Covid, and find 495 people recovered.....four folks having spent a week in a ICU situation, and one guy/gal either died or came pretty close to death (from pneumonia, not Covid).

The 495 folks will want to talk about their fever, their aching joints, or their severe cough.

The problem is that thousands of folks from outside of the arena will want to talk about the virus from a life or death prospective....confusing themselves, and those listening to them.

Did the outsiders ever chat over flu in this way?  Well....no.

If people would take this behavior into Chicago and talk about weekend shootings in the same way.....as being a end-of-the-world situation?  Maybe they'd accomplish something (maybe).

Going to Mandatory Covid Shots for Military?

Oddly enough....the Pentagon said early on....they weren't going to make the Covid shots mandatory.  If you go asking how many folks have been vaccinated...the Pentagon says (around the 1st of July) that it's up near 70-percent.

The Navy ranks near 77-percent.....the AF sits at around 60-percent.  I should note that the Marines are a good five or six points under the AF.

Well....rumor has it that the Pentagon is discussing a August-September 'order' mandating this....no exceptions.

Counter-chatter?  Some Army folks have been direct....they won't agree to it.  Numbers?  Unknown.

What'll happen?  I expect the order to arrive before October, and they try to quickly push out a thousand folks....to show they 'control' the problem.  Once you get to around 3,000 folks dismissed....Congress will step in and ask questions.

In the case of the Air Force?  You have a fair number of people with unique skills that you can't readily replace quickly.  My humble guess is that they will hire up contractors (with the vaccinations) at a fair sum of money, and just hand the bill back to Congress to pay.

If they dismiss more than 10,000 total....across the four services?  It'll turn into a scandal situation that can't be explained in public.

But here's the curious thing.....these statistics I quote...are active-duty only.  No one is talking Guard or Reserve.  My humble guess is that they are closer to 40-to-50 percent, and they really won't be agreeable to a mandated shot.

Alien Talk

So, there's some kinda Congressional meetings to occur over the UFO business.

What's likely to come about?  I would make five guesses:

1.  Someone is suggesting a pot of money to find the aliens.....to be spread around various states.

2.  Things are so boring with President Biden....that any kind of fake excitement that you can hustle up....is really appreciated.

3.  Someone started a rumor that VP Harris will be in charge of the alien business, and the House wanted to get this going before she screws it up.

4. Probably some rumor that a committee just on aliens and UFOs is starting up in 2022, and the gang wants to get 'chairs' for the committee.

5.  A lobby group of aliens are flipping money into campaign chests to ensure the right kind of policy gets started in the House.  House Democrats will be pro-alien, and Republicans will be anti-alien.

Gut-Feelings

 1.  Bill Crosby.  If his whole legal troubles were about one single woman in the 1990s that he'd drugged via some drink....I don't think anyone would much care.  Once it went past ten women talking about their experience (some going back to the 1960s even)....there's not much to talk about.

2.  I expect high school football players to shortly be paid some type of compensation for their 'services'.

3.  The only way to resolve your pain and woes about 'terrible' America....is to go and spend six months in North Korea.

4.  Looking back at Dan Quayle in 1989 with his first year of vice-president.....I doubt if his name came up in the news more than three times after the inauguration.   Harris?  Her name must come at least sixty times a day via the top ten news organizations.

5.  There's actually people in the House and Senate....talking now about generational differences, and that too many people are too young....or too many people are too old.

6.  If Brittney Spears was just a regular trailer-trash type gal....no one would care about this entire conservatorship discussion.

7.  This new mask-technology being developed....would have an ability to continually test for Covid in the air, and then alert you.  My humble guess....it'll freak the hell out of most people and trigger a new anxiety problem.

8.  There's a zoo out there (California) that is vaccinating it's animals for Covid.  The odds that some CDC group will advocate vaccinating beef cattle shortly?

9.  My gut-feeling tells me that a quarter of Miami residents in high-rise condos will think about leaving the region....for a single-floor house situation.

10. Given a choice of watching the President at a live situation explain some new policy or watching a Three Stooges movie from 1939....I'd probably prefer the Stooges movie.

If You Did 'Hate' America to the 9th Degree?

 Well....you probably need to leave.

So I'll make some suggestions:

1.  Belize.  Sexual assault/harrassment are pretty much normal things everyday there.  Robbery is something you contend with day in, and day out.   They have some nifty snakes and spiders.  If you pay extra for private security....you probably feel 'safe'.

2.  Peru.  Just about everyone talks about bureaucracy in Peru....even if you lived in a 12-dog village.  Getting sexual comments from neighbors and co-workers is routine. Pro-litter is a regular habit.  Don't go expecting driving habits match up with anything you've seen in the US.

3.  Chile.  Smog is a regular and accepted thing in Chile.  Cost of living is a regular daily criticism in Chile.   While housing is reasonable, you won't get a decent education situation for your kids, unless you pay for a private school.  Petty theft is a significant issue.  Power outages....something that you need to adjust your lifestyle around.

4.  Greece.  Great healthcare if you catch your village doctor in his public clinic situation....most of the time, he disappears after 10 AM to handle his private clinic patients.  Got phone issues....don't expect a technician for at least six to eight weeks, and you'd best have some cash bribe ready to hand him.  If you were trying to add a room onto the house, you'd prepare yourself for a three-year project.

5.  Finland.  Brutal winters, each and every year.  Alcoholism is significant and you need to get used to seeing drunks in the middle of town.  High percentage of Finns are dealing with depression.  One of the highest cost of living places in the world.

6.  Iceland.  Road maintenance practices are a joke (go and report a pothole and wait three years for the crew to arrive).  Everyone whines about tourism now.  Volcanoes are a year to year event to work around.  Sexual harassment/assaults are a regular event around urbanized areas.

7.  France.  The TGV bullet train is fantastic....but ultra expensive and not something that the working class can afford.  Toll roads and toll bridges exist throughout the country...making long-distance travel expensive.  Sexual harassment/assault is extremely 'controlled' by laws, but don't go expecting miracles.

8.  Scotland.  As indexes go on feeling miserable...Scots lead the world, and it's mostly about feeling unfulfilled.  Don't ever bring up the dismal weather.  Just about everyone in Scotland has some personal story to tell about friends or relatives with serious drug or alcohol abuse issues.  The majority of Scots talk about 'independence' as though it was fantasy dream where some wizard would eventually emerge from the woods and deliver it once and for all.

9.  Japan.  Don't bring up work-life balance....it just leads to a two-hour discussion from your Japanese neighbor.  Smoking in public places is condoned, so don't get all hyped-up and insult people about them smoking six feet away from you.  Just so you are prepared....the Japanese run female passenger only trains....because of the harassment on regular trains.  Mental illness is typically seen by the public as 'your' problem, and you need to resolve your own issue....professional help or clinics aren't on every corner.

10.  New Zealand.  Whatever you pay for your life's needs.....it'll be shocking for the first month after you arrive in New Zealand.  The quality of houses there.....will make you second-guess the decision after a year.  You probably will hear a minimum of one racist comment each week, from co-workers, associates or neighbors (they expect you to just handle it).  Beyond Auckland, most people would say that urban life is uninspiring.

I could go on, but the emphasis here is that as much as you hate the US....you probably won't find 'paradise' anywhere on Earth.

What Would Happen If the JFK Assassination Occurred Today in the Woke-Era?

Well...you'd be told that Oswald shot JFK, period, and you need to accept that.

Those suggesting a conspiracy exists?  They would be taken down by Twitter, Facebook and woke-enthusiasts.

They would be telling you hour-by-hour....there's no second gunman, and the killing of Oswald doesn't mean much.

There would be just a paragraph of material to ever be discussed over Jack Ruby, and most would fail to highlight that his entire profession....for his past twenty years....was all mafia-connected.

Thats why history....injected into the woke-business.makes you pause and ponder things.

The assassination of Crown-Prince Ferdinand that started WW I?  I doubt that the nationality of the killers (Serbian) would be mentioned or allowed in a Facebook/Twitter world.

There's a list of a thousand historical events that you could weigh upon woke, and realize how crazy-stupid the concept is.

The No-Toy Christmas Coming?

There's a business report from yesterday (Friday) which says the big companies are now in a worried state over Christmas, and that the toy shipment business (it's supposed to be on freighters leaving China right now)....hasn't happened to the extent they'd expect.  So toys on shelves in early November, when parents would buy them?  Screwed.  Some might be there....majority won't be.

So you have Wanda and Jimmy-Jimmy standing there on the morning of the 25th of December, and explaining to them that Santa gave them a gift certificate....NOT an actual toy.

How you lay this out?  Well, you start off that Santa had Covid, and then Mrs Claus got Covid, and then the elves making the toys got Covid.  You bring up that the reindeer also had Covid.

Some kid will be told by his Uncle Marvin that Santa actually died from Covid, and that President Biden is planning to take over the job for next year.

How will the media handle telling this story?  Well....mostly images of empty shelves, and folks who've figured a way to buy a $49 toy in numbers, and resell via Ebay at $75.  All of this....naturally runs into inflation chatter.  Uncle Joe (President Biden) may have to rig up another  stimulus package to cover the inflated prices.

So you might want to ponder upon this for a while....it's going to be a curious problem to explain to kids.

My Problem With the 6th of January 'Insurrection'

It's a curious thing....if you go to DC, and look at the security of the FBI building, the Pentagon, the Justice building, and so on (probably around thirty such structures)....they all have what you'd call premium security.  That means that the majority of episodes to invade the buildings...would fail miserably.

Maybe if you had a armored vehicle, or used explosives to get through the initial barrier....you might be able to get access.

The Congress building?  Unless you establish that some insider helped to get the doors open and turn off the normal practice of security....you can't tell me that a rag-tag group of unarmed individuals....mostly with flagpoles...made it in.

That would indicate to me that the Congress structure has the security level that you'd find in Tonga, Bolivia, or El Salvador.

The more you talk about the 6th, and you bring up the way that the individuals got inside?  I think it gets to an embarrassing stage where the capital police need to be disbanded, and you need to hire up professionals.

VP Harris and Trump

Well....this week, some polling came out and said that VP Harris....in a head-to-head match with Trump.....can't win.  I would imagine twelve months ago....the same poll folks would have told you this as well.

Was Harris supposed to be the candidate?  I doubt it....at least if you go back to the summer of 2019 (before Covid).  I suspect the insiders had Gavin Newsom (Governor of California) figured to be the runner.  Course, his luck on the business has gone 'south' and he'll likely be recalled-out of California.

So the question is....if you suggest Joe Biden is just too old, that Harris can't win....then who comes up in the primary?  Bernie Sanders again?  I doubt it.  Governor Kelly of Kansas?  Too old.  Governor Edwards of Louisiana?  Actually a young guy, and energetic. Governor Whitmer of Michigan?  Her Covid-management skills zeroed her out.

From the House or Senate?  Senator Warren is probably the only four-star candidate of the bunch.

Might the party find some Hollywood type or prominent businessman to run?  Maybe.

Leading back around to Joe Biden running another term?  Yeah, I would suggest it's a possibility.

Top Five DOW Drops of All Time

Typically, folks want to believe the five are all in the 1929 period, which is not true:

1.  19 October 1987: 22.6-percent drop

2.  16 March 2020: 12.9-percent drop

3.  28 October 1929: 12.8-percent drop

4.  29 October 1929: 11.7-percent drop

5.  12 March 2020: 9.9-percent drop

The chief problem with 'drops' in the DOW.....people are standing there in shock that futures crowd suddenly shifted, and in a matter of 10 minutes....your portfolio of $100,000 is suddenly valued at $90,000.

In this modern era, over the past twenty years....people have even taken to tools to order the 'system' to sell stock in a hurry if the price drops below x-amount.  So you could have a rule in the system....put there five years ago (which you may or may not remember) that if the stock price drops below $50 (presently at $60) to automatically sell.

This type of automatic selling creates a massive wave that the system cannot see clearly or control the flow of things....so the pain involved (like in March 2020) is more severe than you can imagine.

What makes a major difference between now and 1929?  Two things.

1.  Banks are regularly audited and controlled....so you don't have banks standing there with fake books, and fake numbers (that was highly the case in 1929).

2.  Retirement account (IRA folks)....now present a massive part of their structure to the nation....something that didn't really exist in 1929.

'Lame Duck' Topic

Generally, when a President gets to a point where he can't influence the passage of bill through the House or Senate, or he's reached the 7th year of his 8-year period....the guy is often referred to as a 'lame duck'. We are on the 7th month of this term, and to be honest....accomplishments via the House/Senate have been crap so far for 2021.

Looking ahead? Well...there's a recession building up, and a serious amount of debt issue to occur in August/September. Whatever does happen by early October (to influence the debt)...is bound to handicap the Biden team for the remaining three years.

Getting anything positive out of the migration business? Not in this administration. Getting anything positive out of the taxation business? Nope. Actions to change the pace of the recession? Not likely.

Biden is not a 'lame duck' today, but by spring of 2022...it's likely to turn into a weekly topic, and seriously affecting the outcome of the November 2022 mid-term.

My Thoughts on the DC Statehood Business

I have four observations over the idea:

1.  Go ask the DC folks on the original boundary....which included Arlington and Alexandria.  Ask them how and why that got separated and passed back to Virginia, then ask...why couldn't the non-federal part of DC get passed back to Maryland?

It'll be just a blank look on their face.

2.  All of this would make perfect sense if you were going to statehood Miami, Austin, Chicago, Philly, Vegas and Nashville as states as well....but that's not going to happen.

3.  If this occurs.....would the 4-billion in federal funding halt or continue on?

4.  What about Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Virgin Islands, and Northern Marianna Islands?  The same logic should get them on track as well.

Are We Smarter Than the News Media Thinks We Are?

Around a month ago, I watched a presentation via YouTube and the discussion turned to the general public, and the question was....are news journalists assuming we are fairly stupid, and we 'need' news networks (meaning MSNBC, Fox, CNN, ABC, etc)?

This has been on my mind since the discussion.

Maybe up until twenty years ago....you rarely found that many people who had a full grasp of the economy, general politics, crime, legal affairs, or science.

I would suggest that we are on a new trend 'line' where people know a good bit more than your typical news 'anchor' with the big-boy networks, and exceptionally more than 'Newsman Bob' from Channel 31's dynamic news team.  We also probably know more than the local Sheriff, the city mayor, or the governor of the state.

We probably also have a decent ability to recognize propaganda, hype, or disinformation.

What happens when we recognize this unequal knowledge level?  Well....I would suggest that we turn the TV off, and marginalize our news cycle.  In simple terms, we put some people out of business.

Lower Expectations Story

The New York Times wrote up a piece that suggested 'we' needed to hold VP Harris to a lower standard, in order for her to succeed.

I had to read the piece twice to really grasp the whole landscape to the idea.

Basically, they are suggesting that she's just not that talented or capable....that we should have known that, and that 'we' all want people to succeed in life.  Well....as long as they are democrats....we want them to succeed (Republicans ought to fail miserably, and admit it).

If you'd asked me in 2018....out of the 100 Senators to rank capability to handle more work, or multi-tasking....I probably would have ranked Kamala Harris in the bottom 25 of the Senate.

So just in general....should you lower expectations for kids and adults to succeed?  I've had various individuals around me (some were leaders) to suggest this and push this idea.  My general belief....if you mentor and quietly offer advice....people improve and you don't need to lower expectations.

Another observation I'll make.....if you chose to lower expectations for people....wouldn't you do the same thing for newspapers (like the NY Times) and accept their lower performance as part of a trend for 'success'? Might you do the same thing for CNN, or even the FBI....accepting crappy performance as a norm?
