A Twitter Change

Twitter went and made up a 'rule' that says if you apply for an account, and receive public/state funding....then you will be 'listed' as a “US State-affiliated Media”.

So the first up on this new level?  NPR.

Yeah, I sat there for several minutes...amused by this.

NPR's reaction?  So far, they've been quiet.  I'm guessing they are pretty frustrated by this and want this reversed.  If they refused the 'grant-money'....they could lose the title, but would likely have to downsize by 50-percent (just my humble guess).

NPR odds of going to court to challenge this?  I'd imagine that several lawyers are being engaged, and most are advising them that you need zero funding from the government to win this case.

From the mid-1970s...onto around 2000...I probably was pro-NPR....but getting less thrilled about them leaving jazz/classical music, and literature behind....to be mostly a news network.  It was easy to put on a radio set and jog at lunch-time....listening to them.  The last time I turned on NPR?  It's been almost a decade now.
