The issue? Student X had the Holocaust brought up....guessing it was WW I or II....in the 1800s.
As the teacher notes...it's worthless to correct the kid.
Then the term 'stunted' gets inserted into the discussion.
'Stunted'? Meaning here? Basically, it's like you gave some juvenile a project to read forty pages, and they did nothing. They didn't care what happened the next day at school. They were there to hang out.
The kid will progress on in school....maybe going to college, and just hang out there. At graduation, they will get a degree for mostly hanging out, and then get a job to teach kids at a high school or university....on how to hang out.
In twenty years...you will be standing in a office and trying to deal with some catastrophic event where the employees are mostly standing there, unable to comprehend the problem or the solution. Their reaction will be to just hang out and wait for someone else to arrive to resolve the issue.

Or perhaps the 1899-1902 systematic slaughter of Christian civilians in South Afrika... several tens of thousands of women and children farm families forced into concentration camps after their farms were destroyed, crops burned, livestock slaughtered.
Male farmers in chains were shipped overseas, never seen again.
An entire nation of Christians, a peaceful culture, wiped nearly out of existence.
