Counting up the impeachment deal.....the two-trillion 'golden-gift' payout, and the virus.....I expect a weird end to 2020.
I expect around a week to a month after the Kentucky primary (the last of the season)....that Joe Biden will announce that he's got a dementia issue and can't go forward.
Then I expect the convention to settle on the only possibility.....Hillary Clinton, and her VP will be Stacey Abrams (of Georgia).
Two weeks after the convention, Hillary will be quarantined and noted with the virus. Two weeks after that, Hillary passes on, and Abrams is declared the Presidential candidate, with Mayor Pete as her VP.
As the funeral is held, with thousands of Democrats showing up.....at least sixty will contract the virus....including Stacey Abrams. She'll be out of action for near three weeks, with Mayor Pete mostly as the front-man for the whole campaign for the month of October.
Trump will only agree to the debates....if it's a no-audience deal, and only one moderator with questions pulled out of a hat at random.
Between the Bernie-folks and the Joe-folks....almost a quarter of all Democratic voters stay home, and Trump wins near forty-five states.

The Coronavirus 'Committee'
So it's on....House Speaker Pelosi announced that there will be a House committee just on Corona. You can laugh, but she has fixed it to have supoena powers, and it's be another woeful part of our democracy.
How this will all work?
They will call in the crowd that you typically see standing by the President at his daily conferences, and put them under oath. Confusion will be attempted, or accusations of misstatements.
The President will say that they are taking his people away from their primary job.....Nancy's crew will say that they are supposed to oversee the mission.
Drama.....drama.....drama. Sadly, this will only persuade people that Nancy's management crew aren't capable of doing much.
Investigating Senators and House members getting insider info on stock and enriching themselves? That would be a wonderful job for this group to handle.....but don't go expecting that to happen.

The 'Case' Against Joe Biden
In simple terms:
1. Joe would fit into a 1970s/1980s situation, where union labor, middle-class working Democrats, and rural votes would fit into the agenda (which doesn't work today).
2. On the thinking-man's scale....giving Joe a ninth-grade 20-question math or geography quiz....Joe probably wouldn't be able to pass (even with 60 minutes allocated for the quiz).
3. Joe doesn't fit into the Bernie-crowd agenda.
4. Joe is mostly known for saying a lot of stuff, and only meaning half of it. We are talking about forty years of that type of behavior.
5. Joe has a 'soiled' reputation for helping relatives with insider deals. We aren't talking about once or twice.....we are talking about thirty-odd years of deals. Corruption-wise, he never saw an issue....ever.
6. In terms of an older-white-guy pretending to be buddy-buddy with Latinos and blacks.....Joe ranks a '5' on the big scale. Mayor Pete, sadly, only ranks a '3'.
7. Joe's entire life has been about looking 'middle-classish', but working for the wealthy and VIPish.
8. In a debate situation.....even with a pint of whiskey in him.....Senator Reed from Rhode Island could probably out-argue Joe.
9. Joe has never been known as an ideas-guy....ever.
10. Joe was ranked for the VP job for President Obama....because he wasn't going to ever be much of a contributor to the inside crew. That should stand out at this point.

NPR-Early 1970s versus NPR-2020
It's a rough topic to bring up.
I grew up in rural Alabama with NPR, which premiered around 1971, and I probably became attached to it around 1972/1973 timeframe.
In those days, it featured classical music, jazz, opera stuff, and had a literature side to it. News? You have have gotten three hours over the entire day.....it wasn't something you noticed.
Around the early 1990s....I came to note some transition....less jazz, less classical, and less literature/poetry.
Over the past twenty years? It's mostly all news....maybe adding up to twelve hours a day. If you wanted literature, classical music or jazz.....you rarely will find it.
I've become one of those people who'd like some harsh action done on NPR. My primary five suggestions?
1. Move the entire 'team' out of the DC area....preferably to place like Macon, Georgia, Tulsa, Oklahoma, or rural Ohio.
2. Lessen the news coverage.....a lot. Allow a max of five hours a day of news, with one hour of that being state news itself. A full-hour each weekend ought to be devoted to agricultural news or development.
3. Mandate that eight hours of the twenty-four hour cycle has to be classical music, opera, or jazz.
4. Mandate that four hours of the day has to be readings of classical literature (Moby Dick, Tom Sawyer, or the Great Gatsby).
5. Mandate that no employee can be salary-wise more than $80,000 a year and work your way down from there.

1. It's odd....virtually 90-percent of the news folks are hyped up and all chatty about the worst-possible scenario, and they repeat this over and over. You might as well get all chatty and suggest that the Hoover Dam could collapse tomorrow and wipe out 10,000 Democrats downstream, or that a study reveals that Meth kills all users within ten years of day one, or that it's possible that quarterback Tom Brady might go transgender and win the Super Bowl with his new team.
2. Gun sales in the middle of this chaos has almost doubled. In various areas, the gun shops are barely able to keep up with customer traffic. All in fear of some chaos from the virus? Really?
3. If you were stupid enough in early March to board a cruise boat for a four-week cruise....the odds are that you will still be on the boat in early May, and maybe even into early June. You think that food choices will remain the same or the open-bar deal will stay at the same level....get real.
4. Some liquor shops are reporting sales 50-percent higher than normal. So are these folks just sitting on the patio, and guzzling Whiskey Sours.....hour by hour?
5. Eight out of ten Americans are watching the Trump news conferences. It doesn't matter if CNN and MSNBC refuse to carry it.....YouTube and the alternate site will do it.
6. What happened after the disastrous Spanish Flu era (1917-1919)? The 1920s were a BOOM-period....way beyond the belief of most economical experts.
7. If you live in Israel and leave your house.....you wear a mask. Failure? Cops come looking for you.
8. Some kids allegedly (probably more of a rumor) are getting smarter at home than what school would have offered. It begs questions, and probably is fake news.
9. The CDC admitted that roughly one in four people don't show much of anything for symptoms. They can't explain why. Something in the DNA...the amount of booze they consume.....the daily bacon for breakfast.....unfiltered smokes? It would seem that you'd go hire forty PhD dudes and get this answered in a hurry.
10. I'll predict NO real Democratic Convention....just a Skype-situation. A month after that...Joe Biden steps to the side, and the VP (either Hillary or Stacey Abrams) moves up to compete against Trump. One-third of all Democrats will just start laughing....ordering up booze and beer, and staging a no-vote rebellion against the Democratic Party in November. Joe Biden passes away in late 2022 from Alzheimer's. People will ask for years.....how the Party could stand there and allow this to happen.

Why So Much of the Trump 'Show' is Like Wrestling
If you were to take four key wrestling personalities and blend them into one politicized individual....you'd have Trump.
The four? WWE CEO Vince McMahon, wrestler Randy Savage, 'Mean Gene' Okerlund, and wrestling manager (evil guy) Bobby Heenan.
McMahon is a 50-50 solution. He's pure executive-decision making and always engaged on bringing a bigger show to town. He's also the guy willing to go to the cameras, and create a trend by himself.....dragging public attention into the spot-light.
Randy Savage? He's been dead nine years now, and was mostly retired out of wrestling since the late 1990s. Randy was the talker....the guy who would mouth the threat against the opposition. He wasn't there to utter Shakespeare-like commentary....he was the original Twitter-talker (the 140 letter guy).
'Mean Gene'? He was the announcer who was always in the middle of the action....never harmed or placed in some task beyond his ability. He could accurately....with forty words....describe the incredible situation before the public, and give you inspiration that the good guy would win in the end.
Finally....to Bobby Heenan. He was the strategist....not the wrestler. He had a 12-act show planned out days ahead of time, and how the crowd would feel all was lost (with evil in every dark corner). Then the last act of his theme would bring 'victory' to the good-guy enthusiasts.
People have a love-hate thing about wrestling. There are people there in the background who are designed to be hated and abhorred (the news media and the Democrats). There are good guys who labor to draw your attention and you pull for them even in the darkest moments. Then there are the talkers and announcers who are there to keep you hyped-up and thrilled.
Trump has packaged all of these, and delivered something of a show.....built for 365 days a year....around the clock. And people seem to be strongly attached to this show.

The Possibility of a National 'Lock-Down'?
Zero chance on success.
First, I would probably go and say that one out of three Americans might hold to that idea for two to four weeks. The rest would just look the other way.
Those who own businesses (coffee shops, bowling allies, theaters, dry cleaners, or gift shops? Most can't afford more than two weeks of shut-down time.
Maybe if you'd packaged the stupid 'gift' money and said everyone gets $3,500 for a month but you have to play 'lock-down' in order to get it.....that might have been the enticement to make it work.
Then relying on the police to enforce the lock-down? We already have enormous disrespect for the police going on.....you'd go and add to the disrespect?
Bringing in the National Guard? How many? 100,000 for the NY region alone?
Colleges and schools? Shutting them down for the whole month of April? They'd all tell you that it would mess up their schedule of operations.
Go to the Hollywood region and ask how many would play along with a lock-down?
So.....zero chance it'll happen (even though we need a three-week lock-down).
