My Perception Of The Paul Pelosi Attack Story

First, as long as the basic story stays that this David-the-hammer-guy just shows up....barges into the home and attacks Paul Pelosi....things are fine and the news media doesn't have to 'carry' much 'water'.

If Dave-the-hammer-guy says he and Paul are 'friends', or that he was invited over, or that someone brought him to Paul's house for some reason, or that he and Paul had some kinky fantasy going on (involving hammers and tie-up bands)....then it's a mess for the news media to clean up.

So, if I were Paul Pelosi, and there's more to the attack story....I'd have the lawyer visit Dave-the-hammer-guy and offer up some cash to agree to one single discreet story (him barging in) and get the prosecutor to only press on a minor 1-month in jail situation.

The key factor here....on risk-assessment and weird kinky stuff...this is either a zero (barge-in story) or it's a ten (meaning a relationship with a drugged-up nutcase was possible).  You would have been safer going off to Thailand and having some half-man/half-woman situation there....instead of a drugged-up absolute nutcase from the streets of SF.

But there's this other odd situation with David-the-hammer-guy's ex-wife....who is on jail-prison time, for trying to kidnap some fourteen-year old boy....because of some sexual fantasy thing going on in her mind.

Whole thing?  If you were a screenplay writer....the whole story....deserves a script/movie.

Finally, lets say that Paul was just a pure up-and-up victim here.  This attack would convince me to haul-ass out of SF, and find some safe gated-community in Florida to retire in and feel safe with 24-hour guards at the community gate.  For normal people, that would be the first thing in their mind after exiting the hospital.

What Should Happen To Liz Cheney?

There's probably forty-odd people who served out of DC as either a House member or Senate member....claiming to be Republican, and spent four years in some 'reality' staging a front against Trump.  At the end of the Trump era (Jan 2021)....if they'd just shut-up and gotten on with their regular job....all of them might have survived on.

Well....most just weren't finished in January 2021, and continued along some path to show folks they were still anti-Trump.  One can't really say what the payback was or how they saw this 'purpose' in life....but it had become like some passion or Baptist-type 'revival' situation where they just couldn't walk away.

So you come to Liz Cheney.....thinking with all her passion....folks in Wyoming would just sign up and do another primary-win for her.  That didn't happen.

Liz more or less doubled down.....saying she'd campaign for some Democrat in another state, and suggested she'd be some political figure still....appearing on TV and being a ultra-moderate Republican.

I suspect that CNN or MSNBC will hire her for a one-year period....thinking they can still use her 'used-car-sales' gimmick.  At the end of the one-year, I think she's finished....too toxic to attract anyone, and will end up let go.  At that point, she'll try to write a book and explain herself, but most folks are finished listening to her.

In ten years.....no one will really remember Liz Cheney and that will be the last chapter written on the topic.

Is Swimming Racist?

I sat and read through a paragraph-long story which goes to a comment by John Fetterman's wife (he's a candidate for Senator in Penn).  She said in a blunt statement....that even swimming is racist.

I pondered over this for a while.

How do you logically come to a view of racism being a feature of swimming?  You might make the statement that only whites know how to swim....because they hang out at pools.  Statistical proof?  Zero.  If you live in the inner-city of Baltimore.....as for pool attendees....it's probably a 7-to-1 black to white situation.  Same story for New Orleans.

Back around three years ago, someone did a statistical review and said that almost two out of three black kids can't swim.  Course, this was a national type survey, and generally avoided just collecting on highly urbanized areas like Chicago or Detroit.

If you went to dirt poor communities in West Virginia, and asked on whites knowing how to swim?  No one cites numbers, but I'd take a wild guess that fewer than 10-percent of white kids know how to swim in that particular region.  If you applied polling in Alaska?  Ha....I bet fewer than 5-percent of white Alaskan kids know how to swim.

People taking this Fetterman statement as bogus?  I think they will mostly laugh and just not take it as a absolute sure statement.

Binge TV Viewing Again

This week, I concluded 'surge-viewing' of Stargate Universe (2009-2011)....forty episodes.

Living overseas....there are a lot of shows which I just never saw before.

So my ten observations:

1.  They tried awful hard to connect this show to Stargate itself (1990s show) and instead, it just appeared to be more Battlestar Galactica instead.

2.  You have to watch this show in precise alignment (1, 2, 3, etc).  It's one of those that you can't skip around.

3.  Must be forty-odd characters that have pieces and parts in the episodes, which makes it a bit odd.

4.  They never showed the WC or restrooms of the ship, and I just kept wondering about that part of the human element.

5.  Episode 1 and 2 are pretty 'lame'.

6.  Almost all of the aliens are not to be trusted.

7.  Based on food available on the ship....I would have lost 40 pounds in the first month alone, and been dead by week eight.

8.  I think if one of the big-boy networks would have taken it on.....maybe doing 15 episodes a year and given it a better chance of survival.

9.  The mad-scientist guy should have been left on some alien planet by episode five.

10. It's funny that I missed viewing the show for almost 13 years.....then discover it by accident.

Radical Nudists?

As the newspapers laid out the Paul Pelosi attack (in his home)....several things came out.  Paul knew the guy on a first-name basis.  The dude was dressed in his underwear (we assume his, not Pauls) when the Police arrived.  And the guy was identified as a radical nudist agenda guy.

So I picked this up and asked the question....what the hell is a radical nudist?  Being from Alabama.....I'm kinda unfamiliar with this revolutionary nudists.

Originally, this group started up in the UK....around 100 years ago.  They had four significant agenda items.....vegetarianism, pro-nature/pro-environmentalism, free sex (meaning no real attachment), and improving your hygiene.

There are various groups in Europe, and the US.

One odd aspect of the group.....no matter how your body 'look' or style is.....it's damn fine by members of the group.

So the more I looked into the group....the more they look like normal everyday swingers.

It begs the question....was a Paul just a friend, or a member of the group?

Observations

 1.  It does seem odd with this beating on Paul Pelosi (husband of Nancy)....that he was on a first name basis with the attack guy....who happened to be dressed in underwear (either his or Paul's underwear), and mostly known by the police as a 'nude activist'.

Course, I don't know much about nude activism, and rarely talk with sociable friends dressed just in their underwear.   In Alabama, we'd be suggesting drugs or booze being involved, and question the friendship.....particularly if the person wasn't someone of the opposite sex.

2.  News media says around 18-percent of Americans had to skip a meal, or deny themselves food.....because of the inflation rate.  Yet, oddly....no one is saying that they are starving or losing weight.  Something here doesn't make sense.

3.  Uvalde police now say they were fairly fearful of getting shot, when the school shooting took place.....even though they were armed and wearing 'flak-vests'.

4.  Polling indicates for mid-term....that 40-percent of all Hispanic votes will go to the Republican candidates.

5.  Newest conspiracy chatter in the US?  Poll watchers are not what they seem.  There may well be people who claimed Democratic status and signed up to be a poll watcher, but reality is that they are Republican in nature.  We may have to force folks to sign a 'blood-oath'.

6.  Tim Robbins said this week: "You can't over-regulate people's lives."

Well....he might be wrong on this.

7.  Presently, I'm counting four Senate races that should be won by Democrats....and it appears that it'll be a Republican win instead.  Just odd how 2022 has played out and four Democrats went sour in the final three months before the election.

Court Case

I've probably watched around seven hours of the Darrell Brooks murder trial.  In short summary, he ran over six people in a Christmas parade last year.....now has six counts of homicide, with 76 additional charges.  He started the trial....saying he was a sovereign citizen....challenging the court that they did not have authority over him, and was going to defend himself.

What I'll say....he's not an idiot, or clear-cut nutcase, but his intention to say he can kill people and avoid consequences....just doesn't sell.

4th grad mentality?  Yeah, this shines through with each hour I view the case.  He desperately wants the judge to screw up.

He reminds of those guys who smoked high-THC weed twice daily for thirty years, and believes that he lives in his own little world.

His mother?  She says he has a fairly long history of mental issues and isn't coherent.  You would think the judge would have established that back in the spring after the eval.

The odds that this case will be thrown out on appeal?  I'm giving it a 50-50 chance.

This sovereign citizen BS?  You see it mostly in the US and Germany.  If you were that stuck on this....you should go to the Pacific region....find some island, and just try to live out your life without the 'extras' that your nation provides.
