About That Escape Story

So to tell this story....if you watch US news a good bit....you've seen the two here.

Casey (the guy) is a prisoner who had a 75-year sentence....then hinted he did a contract killing, to get transferred to a county jail, instead of state prison (in Alabama).

The gal...Vicki....was the deputy manager of the county jail (Florence, Ala)....in her mid-50s, who had some romance with Casey (mid-30s).

Vicki decided to retire, and on that last day...helped Casey to escape.  That's the basic story.

So, here's the thing....both grew up with 5 miles of where I grew on the farm (rural Alabama).  Vicki would have been 6 years behind me in the same school.

The claim on the murdered gal?  Well....she was the daughter of my school bus driver.

Lot of apprehension building that none of the confession was true on the contract killing....that it was just to get Casey out of the state prison area....to a easy unit to escape from.

Where the two are presently?  The van was found near Nashville.....so most folks think they left the state. Me?  I think they gave it to a 'friend' to drive north, and dump.....remaining in the Lauderdale county area.

A twist or two?  Casey's stepbrother disappeared five years ago.....just told the wife he was taking a walk in the woods.....never showed up again.  No one knows nothing.

Another twist?  These two (jail manager and the convicted guy) may have known each other for ten years.

Another twist?  Casey talking about this contract killing?  Well....virtually all of the inside info he fed the sheriff....was stuff that Vicki knew already.

Another twist?  Well.....Casey is 6'9" and Vicki is 5'4".

Another twist?  General talk that Casey has been on mood-control drugs since entering prison in 2016.  Some folks suggest that over the next month.....his stuff with rage will come back, unless he gets the prescription stuff.

Yep, it'd make for a five-star script for a movie.

What Judge Thomas Said

Noticed this today.....Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas made a comment about the protest crowd....that they won't influence outcomes.

Then he says something to the degree...."that society has become addicted to wanting particular outcomes."

I sat for a while thinking about it, and he's mostly right about this.

For maybe forty years, there's been some trend building up.  I'd say since 2008....it's doubled in nature.  But this was also a trend readily noted in the 1850s, prior to the Civil War.....where two side anticipated a outcome that the President, nor Congress, or the Supreme Court....could not deliver.

There are probably ten different accelerators to civil conflict/war, and this addition of outcomes is just one of the ten.

The funny thing is that we've even dragged teenagers into the midst of this, and various ethnic groups.

Just Observations

 1.  Rumor has it (Daily Mail) that Elon will 'let-go' of 1,000 Twitter employees, charge $3 a month if you want total access, and cut advertising.....as he takes over.

Personally I agree....but I'd move the company out of California, and would charge hefty-comment-people a $15 a month fee if you go past 100 comments.

2.  Senator Rand Paul is pushing for some type of legislation that would halt tracking of Americans via their cellphones.

Personally, I'd push to give people the chance to duplicate their location, by the dozens....on a minute-by-minute basis.  If they thought you were on the beach....you'd also show up in Paris, some nightclub in Montreal, and in a zoo in San Diego.  This might make things real interesting.

3.  I noticed Senator Manchin spoke up and said the number one political topic in America is inflation....NOT abortion.  I tend to agree with him. If the spiral doesn't slow down.....total chaos will reign.  Just to note....CNN did a poll and 2-percent of people said Biden's efforts on the economy are 'great'.

Dusting Off Common Sense for the Roe-Versus-Wade Stuff

 1.  What happened in the years after Roe-reverses-Wade occurred?  We had some secret 'code given where 50 states had 50 ways of dealing with this, and none involved a 'right'.  If you have some 'right'....it was given by your state.....not the fed folks.

2.  If you aren't happy with the way your state does things (on anything), then LEAVE.  Go find the right state for your lifestyle.

3.  If you go and threaten the Supreme Court on any matter, and threaten violence.....you are toying with insurrection.  Just a word of advice....you really don't want to visit the DC jail system for long-term.

4.  If you are a female not on any birth control.....then either stick with lesbian sex, figure out a way to handle sodomy, commit to only guys who've been fixed, or just don't get physical in some way with guys.  Another tip.....maybe you ought to ask two-hundred questions of the guy you met for the date, and just avoid issues.

5.  If you think some rescue group of Democratic House/Senate members will 'save' you.....you probably need a dose of serious reality at this point in your life.

6.  All that civics stuff in high school....really did matter.

7.  You may be shocked....a lot of what you think are rights in life....aren't.

8.  The same people who say they will rescue humanity now....are the same ones who helped to write/push the fake Russia dossier (in case you were wondering).

9.  Thinking things are better in the UK or Germany?  Don't.

Observations

 1.  Some poll out....Trump versus Biden....Trump at 50-percent, and Biden at 36-percent.

Really, not that much of a shocker.  If you were making up a 'gotta-get-this-done' list, Biden has enough to put on a 3 x 5 inch index card for a 16-month period, and a full-page of negatives on the other sheet.

But here's the thing, I really don't see Biden as the 2024 candidate....nor do I see Harris elevating herself to be the candidate. So the poll is mostly worthless.

2.  This talk of the Russia 'campaign' mostly stalled?  Well.....three weeks ago, they disengaged from Kiev, and moved most of what remained to the eastern part of the country.  This was supposed to bulk-up and end the war by mid-May.  So far, that agenda has shown mostly 'crap'.

This list of promised weapons to Ukraine?  Well....they start arriving toward the first week of June....so mid-June, I expect a evolution of the war (call it 2.0 version) to occur.

It would be a major thing for Russia to end the war now....if they wait six weeks....this whole thing turns into a bigger mess to exit out of.

3.  Fixing the Roe-versus-Wade mess now?  Other than writing a 'code' (law) to make some change.....little else.  But here's the thing, this 'code' will be immedately challenged to the Supreme Court, and I would expect by the end of 2022....the court has to listen to a challenge, and by spring of 2023.....they say that 'code' is crapped-up.

Simple words, the court wants you to write a Constitutional change, which you can't pass via the 50 states.

1992 was the last time that the Constitution was 'amended'.  Lot of water under this bridge since then, and getting anything changed (even term-limits) is near impossible.

4.  Just a prediction, but by 2023....I expect at least four federal buildings in DC to be fence-protected (the Supreme Court to be the first).  I also will predict that the court goes to a remote location within sixty days....to conduct normal business (probably some military base).

5.  Lot of chatter in DC this week over UFOs.  Odd meeting....Pentagon presenting 'talk' to House.  Didn't seem to be anything new and was mostly same info handed out from five years ago.  Just a suggestion, I think the clock is ticking where the whole UFO business will be yanked from Pentagon and given to 'someone else'.
