State Story

WV Senator Chris Rose has proposed a resolution for certain counties in Virginia to leave & become part of West Virginia.

I pondered over this.

Virginia is trying build districts (for House members) which are pure Dem-voters.

Gazing over the red counties....if  you add up the population...if's around  1-to-1.4 million....probably 80-percent Republican.

Would Virginia allow an 'exit'?  I doubt it.

The problem with this....if you gaze across the US....there's 30 states which would like to re-arrange borders.

Wildest Thing I've Seen From The Epstein Files?

Hillary Clinton email discussing resurrection chamber of the buried Nephilim, and document request related to Gilgamesh’s resurrection chamber (in Iraq).

This BS starts up originally....from a 2003 BBC report suggesting that German archaeologists might have found the tomb of Gilgamesh within the Euphrates riverbed.

After this come out.....no science or discovery reports ever get documented.

However, there are these various idiots connected to Epstein who keep believing that Gilgamesh's 'chamber' is held by the CIA folks.

Part of me wants to believe that the CIA intentionally built this into a fake story....just to pull someone's leg.

So at some point....Hillary is asked to find report and report back.  Did she just make up BS....or pay someone to document fake secret stuff?

The 2027 NFL Super Bowl Half-Time Shows (Plural)

I'm of the mindset....there will be five options  for the half-time show for 2027.

1.  The NFL 'original'.

2.   The TP-USA 'invention'.

3.  A Nashville country-music show (with five to eight musicians).  On-line and streaming.

4.  A Vegas 1990s/2000s-theme show....built to attract 71,000 fans at their Allegiant Stadium.  Downloadable.

5.  Louisville KFC arena show....22,000 seats.  Downloadable.

My thoughts....the NFL from this point on...will not  be able to attract folks to their show.

Six Thoughts

 1.  The dead gal in Minnesota....just curious....just over 30 days since the shooting, and no one much today remembers her name.  I would imagine fewer than 10-percent.  Interesting how quick folks forget.

2.  I watched about 12 minutes of 'clips' of the Bad Bunny NFL Super Bowl  show, and maybe 8 minutes of the Kid Rock alternate show.

To be honest....it would have been better to turn the TV  off....catch 45 minutes of Fleetwood Mac tunes.

3.  My gut feeling for the NFL and planning the 2027 half-time show....get some demonic people or zombies lined up....if you want to even fewer people watching.

4. Perpetual psychodrama for the past ten years.  Just about all Americans need a rehab of some sort.

5.  Since 1945 and the surrender...Japan has been forced to having a coalition-party gov't.  Well...this past week....one single party (right-wing) won enough to avoid  coalition-building, and will have a re-writing of the Constitution.

6.   Something I started wondering about....people need an ID to obtain SNAP benefits but these same people are too stupid to use voter ID?

'Not Infinitely Accessible' Story

I watched a podcast piece this AM....a CEO of something called the Institute for Sustainability Leadership.....this gal...Lindsey Hooper, says that water, soil, and oxygen should not be infinitely accessible.

She wants them all classified as 'limited'. It'd be like a pallet of beer, with it being like a global balance sheet.

I paused over this....stuff you'd expect a 5th-grade kid to utter.

I just can't find the logic where there is ONLY X-amount of dirt, or air....unless you were space-traveling, or locked-up in a cave somewhere.

I would agree....there is limited amount of toilet-paper, whiskey,  aspirin, Snickers, or Ford 150s.

In her mind....only x-number of people could get certain thing, while some fellow managed the spreadsheet. It don't make much sense.

The "Other" Debt

You would think there would be alot more turmoil and protests over the debt games being played out in Washington.  There ought to be protesters....angry mobs hating Republicans....upset conservative folks....etc.  But there aren't.  So why?

Well....because Joe, your neighbor (age 30), owes $80k in college loans and he admits he won't be finished paying this off for another 20-odd years.

Aunt Maude, your beloved aunt, owes near $60k on seven VISA cards that she uses regularly to shop QVC....and will likely never pay off the cards before she passes on.

Charley, your favorite barber, owes $70k on a brand-new car that he bought.  He admits that he has never cleared more than $32k a year on salary but he's willing to take out a eight-year loan to get this sports car of his dreams.

Claude, your cousin?  He bought the $350k house back in 2007, with only $35k in the down-payment.  The house has gone down in value to $200k now and Claude is contemplating just handing the keys to the house over to the bank and declaring bankruptcy.

Karl, who lives down the street....wrapping up divorce number three?  He works sixty hours a week and barely takes home $1400 after paying alimony and child-support to the three ex-wives.  He's 42 and says he might find the right woman next time....if not....he'll be bankrupt by that point.

Sid, who bought property in Vegas as an investment in 2020?  The value just dumped by fifty percent and he's still paying $450 a month for this "investment opportunity".  It may take twenty years for the property to get back up to its original value....and maybe sell.

Tim, your buddy from high school?  He finally found a job after three years of unemployment....but had to move to Fargo, North Dakota to achieve this honor.  He lives out of a RV because his wife won't move to Fargo....and most all his check goes to the wife and kids at the old house.

Frankly, we have become a huge debt crowd....in a debt nation, with no real grasp of what it was like in the 1970s.  Before the credit cards, QVC, massive college costs, alimony-on-top-of-alimony, and stupid property prices.....we were living a simple life, without much debt.  The same could be said for the nation itself.  We didn't build museum after museum.  We didn't build bridges on a whim.  We didn't hand out cash to research teams to figure out why bears like honey.

So, as you sit back tonight.....counting the few dollars left in your billfold....and watching a bunch of news folks get excited about the evil Republicans, the dimwitted Democrats, or the President's five-star speeches....you kinda wonder why anyone should get excited.  Until you've charged $80k on a couple of VISA cards....you really don't grasp debt or the depth of problems.  Course, the reverse is true too....if you as a nation owed a trillion dollars.....you really don't know debt.

Only in America.

Unemployment Rate for Huntsville, Alabama?

My German wife....eager to hype the negative nature of unemployment in America....was utterly shocked....December  2025 numbers for Huntsville, Ala...1.9-percent.

What this generally means?

If you run a BK or McDonalds operation...you probably have a full-time HR guy constantly recruiting, and a french-fry guy/burger flipper is probably paid $10/12 an hour starting out, and making $15 an hour within 3 months (to keep them there).

Across the board....you could marginally pass out of high school, and within three years...probably make $17 an hour easily.

Aliens Chatter

I sat and watched a AM podcast interview with the actor Laurence Fishburne (one of the few Hollywood actors that I truly enjoy watching)....so the topic of aliens/UFOs come up and the podcast gal asks Fishburne...what he thinks: (he says)

“I think they walk among us…I think they’re right here with us and we just don’t know who they are.”

To be honest, it wouldn't shock me some 'truth' were to arrive where we found around 100,000 aliens live among us....paying taxes....flying planes....running bars...repairing transmissions....working as soap-opera stars....wrestling...NCAA football coaching, and even being a President.

Why?  Well....if you were highly advanced....you probably are fairly bored and wish to have some adventure (West-World type).  So some travel agency exists....providing you a year of language training, and some basic trade skill....then whisk you off to Earth with some 10-year adventure.

Are People 'Blessed' With Such A Low IQ....That They Can't Gather-Up An ID Or Present It?

This AM, I pondered for half-an-hour about presenting an ID to vote, and if the real problem was a quarter of society has a IQ level of 65 to 75....meaning they are destined for food-prep-help, farm-work, assembly jobs, and House-of-Representatives work.

The question is....if you 'herded-up' a thousand of the low-IQ people....could 50-percent of them be unable to prove anything for a ID situation, or that they are even a US citizen?

Then the bigger question comes up....do you want the low-IQ  people voting?  I pondered over this for a while.  I don't mind asking low-IQ guy to flip burgers, haul hay,  or do dimwit-level work for the Senate job...but if they are this stupid....do I want them to have the right to vote?

So I'll just say it....this whole ID talk we are having presently....is a 50-foot deep 'hole' and we might want to have a serious conversation.

Harris Chatter

I sat this AM...watching a interview of former VP Harris, and the topic of mandating an ID to vote.

For a brief 20 seconds, Harris seemed to have the clarity and competence of a 16-year-old teenage girl....then  she said something to the effect that rural folks didn't have access to a Xerox machine, so they couldn't have copies of documents their American citizenship or residency.  This led me back to her mental side being that of a 8-year old girl.

I grew up in the 'boonies'....at least I considered it boonieish.  Today?  The forty-odd houses on the county road....all have multi-printers with Xerox/fax capability.  McDonalds?  There's one six miles away. The dry-county status dissolved around 15 years ago. Ninety percent of folks have internet capability and cable-TV.   On a boonie-index (1-to-10)....we probably won't get past '2'.

All these Democrat folks who seem passionate about about the rural folks existing along some 1940-timeline?  I think they need to take a month off....just travel around the nation, and talk to people.

My Thoughts On The Washington Post

There was a time....up through the 1990s....that they had 4-star investigative journalism. I worked with a Air Force officer who'd occasionally bring his Sunday edition into the office and I'd get a chance to read the bulk of it during lunch.

For my 3.5 year period (2010-2013)...in DC.....I was a subscriber for about 9 months.

I eventually came to a end-point.....mostly over 3 reasons: their analysis often seemed one-sided.....they just would not criticize or comment on the DC city council....and as many sports journalists as they had, they seemed to barely talk sports.

With the laying off this week?  Well...the folks that remain....probably are looking at three years of 'life'....before  the WP goes under.

My Humble Thoughs On:

Voter ID?  Look....I suspect this...if you mandate the ID and force people to re-accomplish registration...across the fifty states....around 50-percent of registered voters will disappear (more so in California than any other state). How would you go and explain this?

People unhinged/upset over use of words?  Look....if you are that childish in nature, then you ought to hook up to some Amazon tribal folks, and just find some group with 1,600 total words.  Live a simple life....boil lizards...and stare at stars an hour every evening.

News content?  If you write mostly BS, or stuff that people aren't accepting....you need to prepare for a 2nd career.

Life skills?  Around the 8th grade....there ought to be two hours a day on cooking, repairing, banking, etc....skills that you need in real life.

Trump giving a UFO's exist speech?  Some people will believe it....some will be on a TDS-frenzy and refuse to believe it.  We will end up with UFO-DS being a new problem.

Addictive Story

This AM....I read through a research piece briefly....this paper by Milbank Quarterly suggests that soda and sweets are designed to be addictive, in some odd way....copies the tobacco industry tactics.

My wife (the German health nut) has believed this for 30-odd years.

Up until 2010....I was a two-to-three soda a day consumer.  Since then....I might drink a Pepsi or  Coke three times a year....mostly at airports.

On a addictive scale....some are pretty high up, and then you have Tab, Sprite, and 7-Up....which I tend to see as zero on being addictive.

The 'Other' Joe?

About three years ago....the Joe-Biden-mask story came up...suggesting that someoe was acting in Joe's 'spot'....with a mask....playing him.

At the time...I laughed. About a year later...I started to give it a 5-percent  being true, mostly he walked in a awkward way from the helicopter to the White House on Sunday evenings....returning after a weekend in Delaware. Added to this....from Monday morning....till Friday evening (another chopper ride)....you'd notice for a whole week....no meetings or photo-ops.

Over the past 6 months....various 2020 to 2024 photos have popped up....where Joe looks like he has a mask on....maybe 50-percent of the time.

This week....a Epstein email popped-up....suggesting Joe was shot dead in 2019, and a sub was placed. Course, Epstein might have simply made up a joke.

Jill all in on this...if true?  How she'd sign up for duty like this?

At this point....I'm at the 20-percent point.

NY City Story

I sat and watched a 2-minute exchange....journalist....and a supporter of Zoharn Mamdani (NY City's new mayor)....arguing over the idea....businesses shouldn’t be allowed to leave over taxes and that the city should just seize/operate them instead.

The resident didn't really state his work or expertise....just by the way he talked...I assumed he had a degree (or two).

I'll admit....about two minutes were all I could really stand.

In some way....he assumes that the pricing of the business, and profits....will just stay on a path of continuing...without any issues.

A bad example of this idea?  At some point...the NY Yankees will start to have a problem  in signing 5-star players....because of the state/city taxation program.  This is the current problem in  Chicago...with the Bears (serious talk of leaving the state). I expect both the Dodgers and  Giants to have this discussion in a couple of years.

Crazy world we live in.

Four Humble Thoughts

 1.  I watched about 75 minutes of House situation with Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessent with House Democrats.

It was a college-professor moment....with 11-year old 'children'.

It was a 5-star disaster for the Democratic 'brand'.

2.  I read over a summary....parent writing how things went the the day prior at their kid's school.  Kid....I get the impression was probably 12 or13 years old.

So....the politicized 'kids' in the school had a 'walk-out' planned....to dump on 'ICE' as a protest.  School director got word....blocked off the doors, and forbid the exit.

Via phone-chat (I assume)....whoever was directing the school-gang....went to plan 'B'....where kids were to wear anti-ICE labels/pins.

What the parent indicated....almost no boy in the school got into this pin-business.  It was purely a girl-event with the pins.

It's amazing  times we live in.

3.  The journalists-reporters at the Washington Post....viewed it as their purpose in life....to "spur change".

So as they exit the office (dismissed/let-go)....they should write it on their resume.  Apparently, their brand of change....means non-profit for the newspaper.

4.  The most dangerous man in America today...is not Donald Trump.  It's Joe Rogan....and here's the thing....Joe's going to be around for 20-plus years.

Civilization Doomed

Comparing Minneapolis to Maya City....in terms of a collapse.

The Maya civilization, one of the most advanced pre-Columbian societies in the Americas, experienced a significant decline known as the "Classic Maya collapse."

This occurred between 750 and 950 AD.

This was NOT a sudden, empire-wide catastrophe.  It started as a gradual process.....where crappy situations occurred over decades or centuries.

Populations plummeted.  Monumental architecture halted.  Commerce failed.

The Maya people didn't vanish....they just kinda walked away.

The collapse is often described as a "hell-hole" scenario in the sense that once-prosperous cities became uninhabitable due to intertwined environmental, social, and political crises, leading to mass out-migration.

I look at Minneapolis and would suggest within a decade....the population of the city will go from 429,000....to around 380,000.

Some will simply leave the city, but stay within the state....finding rural surroundings to be safe.

The population of the Somalis in Minneapolis?  I'll go and suggest that they increase, the household income level of the city (presently at $80k per household)....without federal fraud funding....will slide to $65k.

Detroit-status?  Yeah....that's the target.

By 2046?  The population is likely to hit near near 250k.

Like the Mayan civilization...it's doomed.

Four Realities

 1.  You get in life a few opportunities, and a few consequences. The trick is...maximize every single opportunity,  and minimize every single consequence.  Don't be stupid to show up to a protest, with a loaded gun, and think the police will overlook your stupidity.

2.  After pondering over the Minneapolis spiral....I've come to a odd theory.

When Bush/Clinton/Bush II/Obama kept the door open for legit Somalis to enter with 'papers/visas'....eventually becoming citizens.  I suspect that around 100k to 200k illegal Somalis entered, and took up the papers/visas of those who grew older, and died.

I suspect the state AG and Governor both are aware of this, and that some of the vast 'new' (alive) illegals....are US citizens, and listed as 90 to 120 years old.....and likely voting in state/national elections.

3.  Maybe just a crazy idea....but I think there are probably 40 'children' of Epstein....all approaching 15 to 35 years old, and on some path to be mayors, governors, etc.

4.  If I were a alien....having traveled 10 years to visit Earth....with all the crap going on...I'd never want to leave.

Spiral of Epstein Stuff Never Ends

I spent around two hours this past weekend....previewing the Epstein matter, and pictures/documents released. Three observations:

1.  There's one final batch of pictures/video/documents to be reviewed and released.  They aren't saying the timeline...but it won't be in Feb or Mar. Things getting worse?  Maybe.

2.  This  whole discussion on pedophilia?  It's a curious thing....some folks show up and they have a different category which doesn't fit with others.

There are five categories:

Pedophilia: Primary sexual attraction to prepubescent children, typically under 11-13 years old (before puberty).

Infantophilia (or Nepiophilia): A subtype of pedophilia involving attraction to very young children, usually infants and toddlers under 5-6 years old.

Hebephilia: Attraction to pubescent children, roughly ages 11-14, during early puberty. This is sometimes proposed as a distinct category or combined with pedophilia as "pedohebephilia."

Ephebophilia: Attraction to older adolescents, typically 15-16 years old, who are post-pubescent but still minors.

Pedohebephilia: Category for those attracted to both prepubescent and pubescent children (under 11 and 11-14).

All of this is flat-out illegal, but if you got dragged in for some situation with a 15/16-year old....probably a quarter of jury members might not condemn too much.

My question....where did Epstein find the hundreds of victims, and keep them under wraps?

3.  There seems to be a number of women who were into this Epstein business, and you have to wonder.....just how deep into perverted  stuff they went.

AI Chatter

 I noticed this AM....this story:

"Google CEO says that they don’t fully understand their own AI system after it started doing things it wasn’t programmed to do such as teaching itself an entire foreign language it was not asked to do."

I pondered upon this.

Why did the  system just invent a 'learn-details' requirement?  I'm of the mind....once it mandated it...it probably took less than 10 minutes to learn all of the foreign language

If the system mandated that learning the repair instructions of all Ford trucks made since 1936?  It would sequence the situation...find the manuals  on-line, and probably add this capability in an hour (while doing 15,000 other requirements).

So I come to three observations:

1.   Just guessing....as they add more 'cloud-capability' and data-storage...AI is going to take on 50,000 tasks per day, and go way beyond the mandated tasks.  The data-gain in the next five years?  Probably whatever you expected to be done by 2060...will be completed by 2035.

2.  If you cut loose the funds and built a dozen unmanned subs....AI would map out the globe in a matter of five years.

3.  We might reach a point where AI was a better stock-predictor than some idiot from the Business Channel.

Consequences Commentary

I sat this AM, and noted:  "Target is closing 9 stores in Democrat-run areas like New York City, Seattle, San Francisco, and Portland, citing retail theft and organized crime that made stores unsafe and unsustainable."

As someone commented....this is likely phase one, and in 60 days...there's likely to be a phase two with 20 additional stores.  By late summer....a likely phase three with forty more stores.

So I'm making a prediction of consequences:

1.  Survival of most stores like Target will revolve around the idea of you entering one single point of the store....flashing a credit card, and your entry is logged to that card being charged for all items in the cart at the end.  Attempt to skip or not-play?  You get denied entry.

2.  Other stores will go this route by the end of 2026.

3. A majority of voters will wake up and demand real jail-time for theft/shop-lifting....like six months in a county jail.  This will expand construction of warehouse-operations that offer jail-accommodations.

4.  By the end of 2028...within a 20-mile circle of where you live....at least 40-odd empty buildings will stand.  Former Wal-Marts, or Target or Piggly Wiggly shops. All left to decay because of thefft.

Six Humble Thoughts Over Insurgencies

I spent a fair amount of my 'pondering-time' of the past week...looking over insurgencies in general.  I limited to US events, but came to realize....across the globe...since 2000...there are hundreds of insurgency operations and put-down events.  So six observations:

First, most insurgency operations start off 'small' (limited) and you can easily note that if some official or Governor does not start reacting...it grows over a very quick period of time (say a week).

Second, martyr victims are a key note of the success of any given insurgency.

Third, outside manipulation (planning) since the 1990s....is a key part of insurgency creation and sustainment.

Fourth, in most cases....fed-help was not called upon...until you get to the  past 30-odd years.

Fifth, of the 3 lists I made....insurgencies since 1800....if I had really opened up every  single event within the US....I think I could have noted more than 300 insurgency operations.  It is fairly common.

Sixth and final....just my humble belief...around 80-percent of the start-up's of insurgency...have a legit reason to exist, and the authorities refused to step in and clean  up the mess (early on).

Ten Examples In The US Of Insurgencies Since 2000

I didn't really think I could come up with ten....but at thirty....I just stopped counting.

1. Cincinnati Riots (April 2001, Cincinnati, Ohio): Civil unrest sparked by the police shooting of a unarmed Black teenager Timothy Thomas, leading to widespread protests, looting, and violence over four days. Ohio National Guard was called in to assist local police in restoring order.

2.  Occupy Wall Street Protests (September–November 2011, New York City and nationwide): Nationwide movement against economic inequality, with encampments leading to clashes with police in multiple cities. Local police departments, including NYPD, handled evictions and arrests; no federal or National Guard involvement.

3.  Bundy Ranch Standoff (April 2014, Bunkerville, Nevada): Armed confrontation between rancher Cliven Bundy, supporters, and federal Bureau of Land Management agents over grazing fees. Federal agents stood down to avoid violence; FBI later conducted arrests without major deployment.

4.  Ferguson Unrest (August 2014–August 2015, Ferguson, Missouri): Protests and riots following the police shooting of Michael Brown, escalating into national Black Lives Matter movement. Missouri National Guard was deployed to support local police.

5.  Baltimore Riots (April 2015, Baltimore, Maryland): Uprising after the death of Freddie Gray in police custody, involving looting and arson. Maryland National Guard was activated to quell the violence.

6.  Malheur National Wildlife Refuge Occupation (January–February 2016, Harney County, Oregon): Armed takeover by militia groups protesting federal land policies. FBI and Oregon State Police conducted a siege, leading to arrests and one death.

7.  Standing Rock Protests (April 2016–February 2017, Cannon Ball, North Dakota): Occupation against the Dakota Access Pipeline by Native American tribes and allies, with clashes over environmental and treaty rights. North Dakota National Guard and multi-state law enforcement were deployed to clear the camps.

8.  Charlottesville Unite the Right Rally (August 2017, Charlottesville, Virginia): Violent clashes between white supremacists and counter-protesters, resulting in one death. Virginia National Guard was placed on standby and assisted local police.

9.  George Floyd Protests (May–June 2020, nationwide, focused on Minneapolis, Minnesota): Massive uprising against police brutality after George Floyd's murder, with riots in multiple cities. Minnesota National Guard and federal agents were deployed in various locations.

10.  United States Capitol Attack (January 6, 2021, Washington, D.C.): Insurrection by supporters of President Trump attempting to overturn the 2020 election results. U.S. Capitol Police, D.C. National Guard, and FBI responded to regain control.

Ten Examples of Insurgencies Within The US (1900 to 2000)

1. Liberty County Riot (August 18, 1900, Liberty County, Georgia): Racial violence and uprising among Black residents against oppression. Georgia state troops were called in to settle the problem.

2.  Colorado Labor Wars (1903–1904, Colorado): Armed conflict between striking coal miners and mine owners/strikebreakers, involving bombings and guerrilla tactics. Federal troops and state militia were deployed to suppress the unrest.

3.  Green Corn Rebellion (August 3, 1917, Central Oklahoma): Uprising by rural poor and farmers against World War I conscription, involving plans to march on Washington. Oklahoma National Guard was called in to quell the rebellion.

4.  Battle of Blair Mountain (August–September 1921, Logan County, West Virginia): Largest labor uprising in U.S. history, where armed coal miners fought against coal operators and private detectives over union rights. Federal troops and state militia were sent to end the conflict.

5.  Rosewood Massacre (January 1–7, 1923, Rosewood, Florida): Racial insurrection where white mobs attacked and destroyed a Black town in response to alleged crimes. Florida National Guard was called in to restore order.

6.  Bonus Army March (Spring/Summer 1932, Washington, D.C.): World War I veterans occupied the capital demanding early payment of bonuses amid the Great Depression, leading to clashes. U.S. Army under President Hoover was deployed to clear the encampment. (oddly, the gov't had the money....the Germans in 1925 had already paid reparations)

7.  Battle of Athens (August 1–2, 1946, McMinn County, Tennessee): Armed revolt by World War II veterans and citizens against a corrupt local government involved in election fraud. Local and state authorities, including the National Guard, were involved in settling the issue.

8.  Puerto Rican Nationalist Revolts (October 30, 1950, various locations in Puerto Rico): Series of uprisings by nationalists against U.S. rule, including armed attacks on government buildings and attempts on officials' lives. U.S. military and federal forces were called in to suppress the insurgencies.

9.  Attica Prison Uprising (September 9–13, 1971, Attica, New York): Inmates rebelled and took hostages demanding better prison conditions and rights. New York State LE and National Guard were called in, resulting in a violent retaking of the prison.

10.  Wounded Knee Incident (February 27–May 8, 1973, Wounded Knee, South Dakota): Armed occupation by Oglala Sioux and American Indian Movement activists protesting treaty violations and tribal corruption. Eventually....the FBI and U.S. Marshals were deployed to resolve the siege.

Examples of Insurgencies (1800-1900)

This week...I spent several hours looking up various insurgencies.....within the US...from 1800 to 1900.   Oddly,  I came to 10 examples.

1. Gabriel's Rebellion (1800): This involved a black blacksmith slave....named Gabriel...who'd planned out a large-scale slave uprising in Virginia to seize Richmond and end slavery.  This failed because of a warning getting out, and the whole thing was suppressed.  Gabriell ended up being hange.

2.  Igbo Landing (1803): A group of Igbo captives from West Africa, upon arrival in Georgia.  Onboard the vessel...they overpowered their captors on the slave ship and chose mass suicide by drowning rather than submit to enslavement.

3.  Chatham Manor Rebellion (1805): This involved salves from Chatham Manor in Virginia.  A brief take-over occurring....leading to locals in confrontation.

4.  German Coast Uprising (1811): The largest slave revolt in U.S. history, where hundreds of enslaved people in Louisiana marched toward New Orleans (armed). A  city militia stopped the insurgency.

5. George Boxley Rebellion (1815): A white abolitionist, George Boxley, conspired with a group of slaves in Virginia to launch an armed revolt. This ultimately failed.

6.  Denmark Vesey's Conspiracy (1822): Slave-carpenter Denmark Vesey organized a planned insurrection in Charleston, South Carolina, involving thousands to seize the city and escape to Haiti.  Before the insurgency took off....word  got out.

7. Nat Turner's Rebellion (1831): Led by slave-preacher Nat Turner.  This violent uprising in Virginia saw rebels kill dozens of white people before being defeated.

8.  Dorr Rebellion (1842): A political uprising in Rhode Island led by Thomas Dorr against the state's restrictive voting laws, resulting in armed clashes and a brief rival government. (Nothing to do with slavery).

9.  John Brown's Raid (1859): Abolitionist John Brown led a multiracial group in seizing the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia.  This was supposed to lead to  a national slave insurrection, but it was quickly put down.

10.  Wilmington Insurrection (1898): A white supremacist coup in Wilmington, North Carolina, where armed mobs overthrew the elected multiracial government, killed some local black residents, and briefly seized power.

Yeah, and I'm working on ten from 1900s to 2000.

The 'Flee-Virginia' Chatter

This week....all the taxation gimmicks were laid out for the state legislature in Richmond.  Having read the list....if all pass....if you were already in the poverty-class, you might be safe.  If you were making $60,000 to $130,000....you probably need to find $1,200 minimum in your budget...to cover new state taxation. To be honest....it might come closer to $2,000 more that you require.

As a fed-retiree who might have a fed-pension deal....drawing $50,000 on top  of your social security?  Well...you probably won't have the cash flow to absorb the loss of $1,200.

So...I'm of the mind that this was geared to 'chase' or encourage 100,000 Virginia folks to exit (rather shortly....like before late-summer).

Do Democrats grasp this? I'm not sure.  I'm not even sure that they knew themselves that 40-odd new taxes would be invented.

If the 100k do exit....will the remaining folks cover enough of the tax revenue lost that things continue on into 2027?  This might be an interesting question to ponder.

West Virginia getting the bulk of the exit folks?  I'm of the mind that VA-retirees will mostly settle in Florida, with the folks still working in DC/Arlington....probably ending up mostly in West Virginia.  Oddly, some may find a cheaper lifestyle...moving  across the river....into DC itself.

Something I'm Wondering About

It came up this week....with another batch of emails from Jeffrey Epstein released.

Here in the middle of one batch....Jeffrey reportedly ordered thirty separate DNA test kits from 23andMe.  Oddly.... enough that the company itself reached out to ask why, but never got a clear answer. And  yes, he got the 30 kits.

I pondered this.

Did he hand the kits to random people? Was there some plan to connect the 'dots' on several folks?

Just pretty weird.

Three Humble Thoughts

 1.  Don Lemon convictable?

Look....if they show he was actively part of some Antifa network....knowing that....buddy-buddy with such members, and they told him they had a operation at the church, then Don is super-STUPID, and convicted of 'something'...getting a year or two in some fed-prison.

But if he shuts up.....says nothing....then I doubt he is convicted or does jail-time.

The most that folks can say at the end-point....Don was just awful stupid.

2.  The 'Fort Sumter-Moment'.

I've pondered over this moment  to start the Civil War. I have three scenarios in my mind:

-  Arrest of Minnesota Gov, Lt Gov, AG, and a dozen others....ALL on Somalian fraud issues...would trigger Antifa to go into maximum attack status.

- The FBI raid in Atlanta...over the voting ballots.  I expect a 90-day review.....then 'all-hell-breaks-loose'....with Grand Jury summons, and likely a hundred county/state officials charged-up.  This would whip Antifa into a frenzy to defend the crowd.

- Finally, at some point in 2026, I expect former President Obama to be summoned to a grand jury.  I expect him to either say 'no'....or to depart the US for the UK (never returning).  It's possible that his detention/arrest...would spark the Antifa-Fort Sumter action.

All of this possible because a minimum of 20-million Americans are in hardcore denial over facts?  Yeah....that's the key factor leading you to a Fort Sumter moment.

3.  I noted this AM.....a New York jury has awarded Fox Varian a total of $2 million after it found her psychologist and surgeon liable for medical malpractice related to a mastectomy at age 16.  This was all going down a path to being a transman.

Over the next five years....I expect at least a thousand of these to occur, and dozens of hospitals will be in a spiral financially....unable to survive.

The Civil War Landscape

Around 7 years ago....I spent a fair amount of  time reading over the 1800 to 1860 period....to include the pioneer era....failed banks in the south....labor required for commerce....the Dem's versus Republicans, and the dividing points.

Today....the United States in 2026 is experiencing profound divisions, with some observers drawing parallels to pre-Civil War tensions or even suggesting the early stages of internal conflict.

The problem is....risks.   You start risks....without correcting them....you start finding fewer solutions.

Listed below are 10 ways in which the U.S. appears to exhibit civil war-like dynamics, based on current analyses, polls, and events.

1.  Political Polarization and Sectionalism: Divisions between "red" and "blue" states mirror the sectionalism of the 1850s, with various states clashing with federal authorities over policies such as immigration enforcement, leading to 'plays' that evoke historical North-South rifts.

(I should note here....50-percent of this Minnesota problem appears to be massive fraud...into  the billions....which no state law official seems interested in).

2.  Widespread Public Expectation of Conflict: Polls show that about half of Americans expect a second civil war in the coming years, fueled by disillusionment with institutions in DC 'fixing' the wrongs.

3. Escalating Political Violence and Assassinations: High-profile incidents, such as the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk....attempted shooting of Trump....have spiked discussions of "civil war" on social media, with targeted attacks on political figures and their supporters indicating a shift toward normalized violence.

4.  Clashes Between Federal and State Forces: In Minnesota, the ICE, DoJ and FBI....are dragged into a mess....with unlawful violence as a daily problem.

Adding to this....National Guard deployments could possibly result in direct confrontations, resembling simulations of civil unrest where state and federal troops face off.

5.  Threats of Extraordinary Presidential Powers: Discussions around invoking the Insurrection Act to deploy federal military against state resistance, as in potential Minnesota scenarios...sound 1850ish.

6.  Social Media-Driven Cycles of Retaliation: Platforms supply the public a chance to hype with inflammatory rhetoric leading to sporadic attacks, such as shootings motivated by political grievances over immigration or ideology.

7. Disaffection Among Disenfranchised Groups: Young men and other demographics feeling alienated are increasingly involved in political violence, from synagogue shootings tied to anti-immigrant sentiments to plans targeting Democrats and journalists, signaling broader societal fractures.

8. Potential for Military Fractures: There are various scenarios which suggest the U.S. military could split along loyalty lines if ordered to intervene domestically, with soldiers refusing commands or creating internal conflicts, akin to civil war dynamics.

9.  Creation of No-Go or Hyper-Partisan Zones: Discussions of areas becoming off-limits due to partisan control, similar to Northern Ireland's Troubles, where communities self-segregate and enforce ideological boundaries through informal militias or local resistance.

10.  Finally....Rhetoric and Simulations Predicting Breakdown: Expert simulations and analyses, including those from universities, highlight risks of "green-on-green" violence (federal vs. state forces) and constitutional collapse, with current events like federal deployments in states amplifying fears of systemic failure.

The 'Don't-Make-Sense' Commentary

This past week, I asked Grok/AI to assemble a list of things having occurred since 2000....which don't make sense.  I emphasize 'don't-make-sense'....it's a key term.

My list:

The Y2K panic: Billions spent preparing for a computer apocalypse that never happened, with people stockpiling supplies for nothing.  Nothing made sense.

Enron scandal: A massive corporation hid billions in debt...never noticed by the federal gov't.....through various accounting tricks.  At the peak?  It wiped out employee retirements.

The 2000 presidential election....ended up decided by hanging chads and a Supreme Court ruling.

The entire invasion of Iraq was based on false claims of weapons of mass destruction.  Almost none of the Bush-list of twenty-odd items ever  proven true.

The Anthrax letters terrorizing the nation post-9/11...killed five....sparking a massive investigation that ended in the suspect's suicide (so we are told).

Hurricane Katrina response failures: Levees broke, thousands stranded, and government aid was disastrously slow. Oddly, the police force had to admit a minimum of 300 folks on the payroll...didn't really exist (as people).

2008 financial crisis: Banks bundled risky loans, crashed the economy, got bailed out, while millions lost homes.  It appeared at some point....even the finance folks were mentality retarded (gifted as a mind of a 7-year old).

Around 2008-2012....pro-anorexia websites started promoting starvation as a lifestyle choice for teens.  No one says much....just noting starvation in the 3rd  world was unacceptable....while starvation in California was a worthy idea.

Abstinence-only sex education ignoring contraception, leading to higher teen pregnancy rates. The message....don't have protected sex....but unprotected is OK.

Flash mobs started turning into flash robberies, where crowds looted stores in minutes.

USA PATRIOT Act enabling mass surveillance without warrants.

Anna Nicole Smith's life story seemed bigger and bolder than life....then came death, amid tabloid frenzy and legal battles.

Britney Spears' whole public breakdown was mocked by media, leading to a controversial conservatorship....mostly with dad saying she was nuts.

Fabricated (fake) celebrity feuds like Britney vs. Christina became the way to sell magazines.

The rise of "fake news" dominating political discourse, eroding trust in media.

Social media algorithms started amplifying outrage and staging division for engagement.

QAnon conspiracy theories came out of thin-air....influencing politics and leading to real-world violence.

NFT boom occurred....where digital art sold for millions, then a month or two later....proven worthless, and crashed spectacularly.

Cancel culture extremes started up....where you committed one single minor 'sin'....past mistakes ruin careers overnight.

Pro-vax, and anti-vax movements started up....each with a push/halt brand.

Oddly in the spring of 2020....toilet paper hoarding in 2020 despite no actual shortage in production.

Student debt surpassing $1.7 trillion, burdening highly self-proclaimed 'Einsteins' with decades of poverty, without relief.

Oddly, the January 6 Capitol insurrection/riot occurs, with no one armed.

Technology is openly blamed...for spreading misinformation.

Political polarization starts to arrive around 2012-to-2015....where compromise is seen as weakness.

Healthcare costs skyrocket while universal coverage remains politically impossible.

Tax BS

I looked over the  list of new taxes for Virginia residents (someone put the full complete list up):

- Additional local sales tax in all Virginia counties and cities

- New personal property tax

- Gym membership tax

- Highway use fees

- Home repair tax

- Vehicle repair tax

- Electric leaf blowers and electric landscaping equipment tax

- Large employer tax

- Gun and ammunition tax

- New income tax brackets

- A delivery tax that will hit you if you ordered things on Amazon, Uber Eats, UPS, FedEx, etc

- Investment income tax

- Event tax

- Concert tax

- Storage facility tax

- Dog walking tax

- Dog grooming tax

- Counseling tax

- Digital personal property tax

- New car taxes

- Increase in the hotel tax here in Arlington

- Statewide speed cameras.

- A drying cleaning tax

- Concert tax

The suggestion is that for a normal guy...somewhere in the range of $1,000 is added. If the increased speed camera thing occurs?  You can figure at least $200 more a year in fines.

Just appears like the working-class guy....not the super-wealth guy....will  be the  one hurt.

What Happens When Trump Presses The Census-Go Button?

Well....there's to be a massive legal fight...like nothing you've ever seen.

My belief on NOT-counting non-Americans?  Almost every single state is to loose 5 to 20 percent of what was perceived to be their 2020 population.

Yes....California loses 2.3-M....Texas loses around 2-M.  Florida loses around 1.6-M.

I also think from the 2020 count....you might discover Minnesota has around 50k to 75k of non-existent people (they weren't there to start with).

When the smoke settles.....near 40 states will lose, and gain.

The population in general in both NY and California since 2020?  Yeah....we will come to realize the crappy conditions  convinced around 1-M each to just up and leave.

The Supreme Court dragged into a massive amount of challenges?  Yeah....it won't be a pleasant experience.

Three Observations

 1.  After the raid in Atlanta with the 2020 ballots 'mess'....I'll suggest the outcome.  Come August....DoJ/FBI will determine that the  Georgia state outcome in 2020's election was fraudulent (maybe by 300k votes).  Yeah...Biden didn't win. At least three county officials will be drawn in  for court action.

Two issues now pop up.....how do you account for Biden's era?  And then...should you go into Arizona and Minnesota as well?

2.  Wal-Mart in California says they are closing 250 stores....suggesting the mandatory $22-per-hour situation won't work.

Begs the question....if California is sliding to Mexico-status by 2030?

3.  President Trump says he's considering a limit on gas taxes (aimed at California)....to bring prices down.

If he goes this  way.....where does California find the billions to replace the gas tax revenue?

Was Alex Pretti (Dead Nurse In Minneapolis) Antifa?

 Well....no facts to suggest that.

First....it is FALSE that he was let-go by the hospital folks around 3 months ago.  I checked this  part of the BS, and he was employed by the VA.

If he was Antifa....he was probably only a 'player'....meaning he was paid for showing up for  protests.

Why no ID or gun-carry license on him....when the episode occurred?  If you were a 'player'.....you were likely told to  make the arrest more difficult....with no ID. I'm more likely to believe he was paid for the day....to protest.

Whats The Best Way To Run A Profitable Fake Wine Operation?

First, you find some marginal wine producer, who makes 2-star wine (the $7 a bottle stuff).

You contract with  the guy....to deliver 100,000 bottles with no label.

Second,  you buddy-up with a politician who needs cash flow.

Third, you get a fake-but-nice label situation....with a nifty wine 'brand-name'  (like the phrase Hocus-Pocus, Elixir of Demons, or Booby-Lady).

Four, you let  supporters know the wine is connected to the politician.

Five, you sell the wine for $40 a bottle....taking a $13 cut yourself....giving the politician $20.

You settle with the IRS folks, and  simply keep quiet.

Seven Humble Thoughts

 1.  Is ICE designed for fraud investigation?

No.....which is the odd slant to the narrative.  The FBI and DoJ are designed to review federal fraud 'crap'...which is why they are in Minneapolis (on top of the ICE mission).

I've yet to see CNN explain this issue.

2. Are we in a Civil War landscape?

I watched some podcast yesterday.....young female nurse....suggesting to harm/hurt any patients who were MAGA/conservatives.  It's the type of suggestion that would trigger the loss of your license/job.

She didn't seem able to control/hold her emotions.  Mentally....she was nearing the 'war' mentality.

3.  No consequences mentality taking off.

I can understand a 12-year old kid with no consequences mentality...but when you have 40-year old people acting this way....over and over....it makes no sense.

You can't have a society of 25-million people behaving in this fashion.

4.  None of this spontaneous demonstration/protest business....makes sense now.

It's like a theater-operation....actors with text to get through a 'scene'.

5.  I was reading a business piece from California....the $20 minimum wage in California has now resulted in 18,000 fewer jobs in fast food chains.

My question....where did 'Ricky' and 'Barney' (with the 17,998 others) go for  employment next?

6. The longer that the 'insurgency' in  Minneapolis continues....the deeper that the economic crisis in the city/state spirals out of control. If I were a resident of the state....I'd have no business to conduct in Minneapolis, and avoid it at all cost....same for football, baseball, etc.

7. Reality has reached some  level where it's like a episode of Planet of the Apes.

Four Things Likely To Occur By The End Of 2026

 1.  Cuba collapse (likely over the period of two weeks).  Agreement to allow completely open election (before the end of the year).  US stages at least twenty mini-nuke reactors to resolve grid issues.

Trump and Rubio proclaimed national heroes of Cuba.

2.  Walz of Minnesota drawn into a RICO criminal situation....throws ten names out (at least one being a US Senator) who also took Somali campaign donations. Walz resigns by mid-summer.

Lieutenant Governor Flannagan....assumes the office of Gov.....but identified a week later as connected to fraud as well.

3.  After Trump's  push on credit card rates to be 10-percent or less....almost all card companies set  up fees (yearly) to have a credit card....with most set at $200.  At  least fifty percent of card holders will be given a 50-to-75 percent reduction in card limits.

4.  At least 1,000 American citizens will be brought into court for mental evaluations....over their TDS-problems.  Minimum of half will be forced into treatment/rehab.

Three Odd Things I Noticed Yesterday

 1.  This dead guy in Minneapolis story.  This Pretti-character was NOT at a active protest...when the 'event' occurred.

The protesters arrived after the shooting.

It seems he was strictly there impede ICE..

2.  HUD Secretary Scott Turner gave a  Congressional talk yesterday:

- For 2024 alone....over $5-B were in "payment errors".

- Some funs went to 30k-plus dead folks.

- Finally, it's obvious that some government-backed mortgages went to non-Americans citizens.

3.  Someone asked Grok/AI if civil war was going on....how would it look:

•  50 to 200 Mini-Mogadishus simultaneously going on

•  Blue cities besieged by red countryside (food/fuel/power cut off)

•  Red rural areas subjected to drone strikes/infrastructure attacks by federal forces

•  Assassination campaigns against governors, judges, CEOs

•  Ethnic/ideological cleansing in mixed areas

Grok, in this assessment....merely projects a path....a 1860-like situation where Civil War corrects various wrongs.

Explaining Ilhan Omar's Wealth 'Surge'

The accusation is....Omar's wealth path went from $15/20k range....to $15-M in roughly six years.    I spent 90 minutes yesterday looking at this story.

So...it begins/ends with Ilhan Omar's husband, Tim Mynett, who co-owns in some way....eStCru LLC (a California wine company)....which started up in 2020.  No one argues about the ownership....that it was a California wine operation or  that it started in 2020.

But then you come to the idea of  a 'ghost-operation'....a wine company in name  only (not the grapes or the complex).  This is where folks argue.

Any mingled facts?  Oddly, there is a registered trademark for a label...."The Devil's Lie," for the wine (whether  real or faked-up).

Footnote here....any idiot can register a wine-label.

Somewhere in 2024....someone (left mostly unnamed)....came up to sue the two guys running the wine operation for fraud, claiming a sum of $300k was invested for a 18-percent ownership.....but was getting zero on return.  At the time....the  wine company oddly said they weren't making money...because of Covid.

But Omar's husband was putting out financial disclosures showing eStCru's value jumping from $15k in 2023 to $1M-$5M in 2024, plus another firm (Rose Lake) at $5M-$25M.

None of this made a lot of sense.

So far....no one has shown a building or sign with the sign 'The Devil's Lie'.

My best guess?  It's possible that you can buy unlabeled bottles of wine (say some $5 a bottle type)....slap a funny label on it...market it as a Omar-product, and sell it for $25 a bottle where your political supporters could buy and support your personal 'label' or brand. Nothing illegal about that.

I did do a consumer search....just on that particular type wine...getting nothing, which is a bit odd.

Is this a 'Breaking-Bad' type of fake business to help hide cash flow?  You'd have to create a ton of fake paperwork....to make banks/IRS happy.  Course, if you were making $5-M a year....maybe it's worth the effort.

On my truth-index (1-10)?  It's still at zero....not enough evidence to say anything...other than wealth exists.

The Problem With Rico-Act Situations

A couple of years ago....I watched a podcast of a older retired lawyer...who'd done Rico-Act defense for 20-plus years.  I came away with four observations:

1.  99.9-percent of lawyers have never done any Rico-Act defense situations.  It's highly specialized and lawyers who lose....rarely get a second opportunity.

2.  The people accused of Rico-Act problems....aren't typically working-class people....they are in the high income levels.

3.  The chief strategy?  Well....to either show the prosecution screwed-up or failed in evidence-gathering, or to get a deal.

4.  The longer that a Rico-case goes on.....the deeper into debt that the accused goes.  So it makes sense to admit some level of guilt....get a deal, and to do as little time as possible.

So, you lay out the Minneapolis landscape....I would imagine there's well over a couple-hundred individuals consulting with lawyers and discovering in the whole state of Minnesota...there's  probably fewer  than three legal firms (my guess) that handle stuff like Rico.

The cost factor also on their mind?  Yeah....you aren't talking about $20k.

The other odd factor?  You know a guy....who knows a guy, who knows a guy.  So tangled up in this mess that you are attached to.....there's probably multiple other characters....with the same Rico charges.  The prosecutor goes to the weakest guy and says...here's the deal...spill the beans on character one and two, and you do three months in some jail.

This Rico-mess consuming 2026, 2027 and 2028?  Yeah....those with the most to lose....will fight to control the pain/punishment.  They are likely to be the ones financially broke at the end.

How Many Mini-Mogadishu's Are There In The US?

I sat and pondered upon the concept.  In general....over the past fifty year....Mogadishu (capital of Somalia) was this place that developed into a commerce-hub....went through a deconstruction-phase....stepped through a war-lord era (several)....finally developed a form of gov't where neighborhoods/clans/groups all have a 'piece' of ownership/crap that they say is theirs.

This 'crap' is worthless but the folks have bought into so much of it....there's really not much of a alternate path.

At this  point in pondering....I started a list. How many American cities have developed into mini-Mogadishu's?

Seattle, Portland, SF, LA, San Diego, Boston, Philly, Baltimore, Chicago, New Orleans, NY City, Minneapolis?

Is there some 'rehab'?  So far...with the actual real Mogadishu....no solution has been found.

My question is....if you lived in the 'shadow' of a mini-Mogadishu....would you have much patience to stick it out....or would you be finding a exit-door to leave?

Are We In A Insurgency: Yes or No?

An insurgency is essentially a prolonged armed rebellion, continued riots or uprising against an established government or authority.

It is typically carried out by a group of rebels (insurgents) who lack the resources or recognition to wage conventional war.

It often involves guerrilla tactics like hit-and-run attacks, sabotage, and efforts to win over the local population's support, rather than direct confrontations with superior military forces.

The goal? You usually overthrow the government, achieve level of independence (or at least think that), or force political change.

I sat and pondered this today.  Based on Minneapolis events of the past two weeks....yeah....I think we are in the beginning stage of a insurgency.

A Medal For Donuts?

Over my 22 years of service....I wrote medals paperwork for a dozen enlisted guys and even drafted medal paperwork for a couple of officers.  Toward the end....I could write  nominate paperwork in 30 minutes....re-draft it over another 30 minutes, and the 'boss' would approve it 95-percent of the time.

It was a skill.

Today....I've watched video  off Nat'l Guardsmen brought onto 'duty' in Minneapolis. Their primary duty?  Well....to hand out coffee, tea, hot coco, and donuts to protest folks....while wearing yellow vests in Army uniform.

The general chatter is these 50-to-100 folks will be on duty for 2 weeks, and the governor says....he'll hand the bill to the Pentagon to pay.  Personally....I doubt that they will pay.

To also be honest....you could have rounded up city employees to do the same thing....but most would be fearful of being assaulted.

So you do the math....junior enlisted....for a two-week pay situation...you'd be paid  around $1,500 after taxes.  You literally make twice as much as a Dunkin-Donuts guys....just wearing the combat uniform.

Medal for the two week duty?  If I were 'Sarge'....yeah, I would write the nomination letter.....knowing that Colonel  X would never sign his name for a stupid medal handing out coffee and donuts.

Yeah, it is the most stupid thing that I can imagine....but it's BS-like crap that you'd do in Afghanistan.....to make  people happy...except you are doing it in Minneapolis.  Anti-insurgency BS......for  crazy dimwits.

What Plays Out In Minnesota After 17 Feb?

Well....from their state House of Representative....the governor will go through a impeachment process.  There are enough votes to carry it  to the next level...the state Senate....of the 67 members....34 are Democrat....so the measure (likely to hit in mid-March) will likely fail.

However, there's some odd complications.

Based on weekend developments....the Lt Governor (Peggy Flanagan) is conntected to the protest crowd (via Signal, the messaging system used to connect the protest folks to their 'mission').

It's now likely that a 2nd impeachment will be called on Flanagan.  I also think the AG will be dragged  onto a impeachment effort.

So....this brings up the 34 Dem's in the Senate.  At least one is facing fed-fraud charges, and I'm likely to be suspicious that it's only ONE.  In four weeks....there could be several Senate members drawn into a bigger investigation.

If the two or three Dem  members  of the Senate are detained/arrested....the majority shifts, and the impeachment follows....of probably more than just the Governor.

I should add the  head-guy of the Senate....while NOT under a fraud investigation....he is under some ethical investigation....for failing to note connections to non-profits.

So there's a fair number of folks who are in a tough situation.

If The Somalis And State Leadership Were Racketeering?

Over the past week....I've heard the term racketeering used a good bit.

Racketeering, as defined under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, is not a single act but a legal framework targeting organized crime.  Yes, it was designed for mafia folks.

It involves participating in or associating with an "enterprise" (like a group, business, or organization) that affects interstate or foreign commerce, while engaging in a "pattern of racketeering activity."

This pattern requires at least two predicate offenses (from a list of about 35 federal and state crimes, such as bribery, extortion, fraud, or violence) committed within a 10-year period, with the acts connected to the enterprise's operations.

The statutory maximum prison sentence?  It's 20 years PER each single RICO count.  So if you had ten crimes laid out, and the prosecutor said he'd deal with you nicely....1-year per event....you'd still do ten years of time.

What I perceive in Minnesota....between the lack of state supervision, marginal law enforcement, and Somali fraud....you could have well over 10,000 individuals brought in for RICO actions.  This could explain the need for riots...because so many folks are fearful of what is approaching.

Lot of Confusion, But.....

Yes, there are Articles of impeachment written/drafted for Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota.

BUT, they have not been officially filed or introduced in the legislature as of 25 January 2026, because the 2026 legislative session has not yet begun. 17 Feb is opening day of the legislative period.

Humble guess....this will be top business on day one.

For reference.....for the articles to advance, they would need a majority vote in the Republican-controlled House to impeach.  So this will occur, with probably 6-to-8 weeks of evidence presented....figure near $9-B in fraud situations to be presented.

However.....it is then followed by a two-thirds vote in the Senate (where Democrats hold a narrow majority) for removal from office.  This vote probably won't happen.

However.....if three or four Democratic names pop up in the Senate chamber....where people were connected to the fraud....then you have a wild situation.

I asked Grok if any such problems  exist, and District 62's name pops up.  There's enough there for a federal case, but none have started (yet). Just a humble guess....between now and late Feb....a fed case likely opens on this guy, and to have lesser charges....he'll have to name two or three other state-senators.

It's a 10-cent soap opera developing.

Minneapolis: My Humble Thoughts

1.  I watched video of the 2nd guy shot yesterday at least ten times.  Showing up at a situation....designed as a confrontation....with a firearm....was on my dumbass-index (1-to-10)....a '9'.

2. I had to look up the pistol that that guy brought....Sig Sauer P320 AXG, with extras....typically costs minimum of $1,500 (figure discounted price)....might even be $2k.

For self-protection....way over the price-margin.   But I guess nurses make that kind of extra cash (unless you were making $500 a month showing up at ICE confrontations on the 'black')....then you only needed four months of confrontation-work to achieve a new 'toy'.

3.   Some advice....if you show up at a protest situation....with a gun being noted....the focus of the police is YOU. They will command you to holster the weapon, and if you act 'goofy'....you are a perceived threat.

4. Minneapolis  mindset? I came to the conclusion last night....Antifa-attitude on full display.  People consumed with passion to confront, and be a 'hero'. Oddly, you show up at  a ICE situation, where the pick-up guy illegal...has a rap-sheet with several serious crimes noted.    You end up dying for worthless cause.

5. Somewhere in all the mess going on....it's become noted that Somalis in the city.....ARE NOT....reporting deaths of the elderly. They are doing this to keep collecting the food stamps, housing benefits and other taxpayer funded aid.

Grandma up and dies....I would imagine two or three Somali guys show up...bag-up grandma....haul her at night to some graveyard, and bury her. No paperwork.

How many like this?  Unknown....but you can figure a hundred 'agents' need to scan and prove the life status of everyone in the state.

6.  On my insurrection-occurring-index  (1-10)....at this point, I'd say we are pretty close to a '7'. If we start having a death per week....it seems  to hype people up.

7. Governor is calling for activation of the state Nat'l Guard....mostly hinting that the police aren't protecting citizens.  Governor  says he wants the feds to  pay for the guard costs.

The problem I see....Minneapolis police aren't stupid....they won't show  up (even if ordered) at a ICE-confrontation event.  They see themselves drawn to a 'trap'....so why take risks. The Governor seems to believe that Guard members would take  orders and walk into a 'trap'.

8. The one obvious thing I note out of Minneapolis  and the confrontations.....you just don't see any blacks engaging or  participating. Lot of white women, and mostly all whites in general.

9.  Someone put up a map of the city where Good/George Floyd/new guy were shot....all within a 12-mile circle.  Oddly, one local noted the key-part of this area....where 'social justice thrives'.

10.   This dead guy (Pretti)....had a social media account....friends noted of the guy....he deleted the account a couple of days prior to his death.

11.  One gets the feeling....the Antifa plan is to escalate things....to get US Army brought in, and Civl-War is created.

My Don Problem

I just have to admit it...the minute that a Don Lemon podcast/interview comes up....part of me wants to give him 2 minutes to say something stupid, and part of me wants to mute it ASAP.

It usually takes Don somewhere between 2 and 4 minutes....to say something remarkable, and STUPID.   It's the stuff you'd say after half-a-case of PBR, or having smoked a joint (or two).

Part of me wants to believe that Don came out of high school this way......with college mostly developing the stupid-side....as a 'skill' or talent...which CNN needed badly.

Once CNN let him go....it was difficult for them to show or reach this level of remarkable simplemindedness or gullible nature.

As for me  conditioning myself to take in more  minutes of Don?  Well...it's not easy....as I age...I have less patience for stupid people.

Tanning Beds: Not That I Really Care

I came to this odd story this AM....where a guy had bought into a tanning bed operation, and in the change-over....came to realize that there were age restrictions in the state.

So I asked Grok/AI to study this....forty-four states (with DC) have a age 18 restriction on indoor tanning beds (also known as sunbeds or solariums).

Chief reason?  To protect minors from increased skin cancer risks.

The six states without restrictions? Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Iowa, Montana, and New Mexico.

So after pondering this....I came to this remarkable reality....oddly, no state has a restriction on 10-year or 12-year old kid....being out-of-doors 16 hours a day in the summer.

You could aim to get 1,000 times the amount of sunlight that you should limit yourself.

Yeah, I Do Have Ten Criticisms Of Gov Gavin Newsom

1.  The Worsening Homelessness Crisis: Yeah, there's been over $24 billion on homelessness programs since 2018 in  California....with mostly ineffective  accomplishments, and oddly.....a total lack of accountability.

2.  Yeah....crime rates are mostly up over the past ten years.  Crime in California reportedly increased by 13% in 2022 (per FBI data), with detractors pointing to "soft-on-crime" measures like early prisoner releases and decriminalization laws (e.g., jaywalking, loitering for prostitution) as contributing factors.

3.  Yeah.....it's a state with growing cost of living, and increasing  taxes. California has the nation's highest cost-of-living burden, including record-high gas prices, energy costs, and taxes, which critics say have driven out residents and businesses under Newsom's policies.

4.  Yeah, there hypocrisy in COVID-19 rules (the French Laundry Scandal): Newsom faced backlash for attending a maskless indoor dinner at the upscale French Laundry restaurant in 2020 while urging Californians to follow strict pandemic restrictions, seen as a "rules for thee but not for me" moment.

5.  That high-speed rail?  The project, initially criticized by Newsom in 2019, has received billions more in funding despite massive delays, cost overruns (now estimated at $100+ billion), and little progress, labeled a "money pit."

6.  The unemployment benefits fraud? During the pandemic, California's Employment Development Department lost an estimated $20-30 billion to fraud, including payments to prisoners and out-of-state claimants, due to poor oversight.

7.  Then there's the failing public education system. California ranks near the bottom nationally in K-12 performance, with prolonged school closures during COVID and vetoes of reforms like mandatory ethnic studies cited as exacerbating issues.

8.  There's the wildfire prevention shortfalls. Governor Newsom overstated wildfire fuel treatment acres by 690% (actual: 11,399 vs. claimed 90,000), contributing to ongoing devastating fires amid criticism of inadequate forest management.

9.  Then there was the early release of prisoners. Policies allowing earlier parole for thousands of felons, including violent offenders, have been blamed for rising crime and public safety risks.

10.  Finally, there is infrastructure and economic mismanagement: Broader failures in areas like water shortages, housing affordability, and a $68 billion budget deficit (as of 2025 audits) have led to accusations of fiscal irresponsibility and poor governance.

All in all....the most unqualified guy to run for President for the Democratic Party in the past sixty-odd years. There's literally nothing to brag about over the past ten years of effort....yet, he is the top candidate for the primary (at this point).  In general....anything he advocates....you should do the exact opposite.

Five Humble Thoughts

 1.  This appearance yesterday of Gov Newsom (Cal-D).....at DEVOS yesterday.....was supposed to be some moment to show his 'world-status'.

Well...he did get interviewed by US media but the rest of his 'gain' plan mostly failed.  Curiously, a poll came out yesterday to say he is the number one candidate for 2028's presidential election.

If I had to pick from the past 40 years....the least prepared and lacking candidate for either party....Newsom is that guy.....but he has a great barber, and he does appear like 'Ken' (from Barbie-fame).

2.  Just odd....someone did a poll and suggested we end daylight-savings time....so you had 4 choices: no-change, no-opinion, stick with just regular time, stick with just savings time.

I would assume...99-percent would have said to stick with stick  with regular time.  Well....I was wrong on polling.

Roughly 15-percent said keep going with the time-change....10-percent had no real opinion, and then it was pretty well divided (50-50)with going to  regular time, or going with savings time.

My prediction....nothing changes....we just keep going.

3.  Just an  odd point  I noticed yesterday...from SF news....they say between the city, charities, and foundations....almost one-billion dollars is spent  on homelessness.  There's no sign that anyone benefited.

4.  This Clinton (Bill and Hillary) contempt situation?

By saying 'no'....they won't attend a House mandated Q-and-A....they will be dragged into court.  Based on what I've seen....this court situation might take  less than one day.  Unless some deal occurs....I'm guessing the contempt  lands them for 4 to 6 months in some fed-jail.

The deal?  Well...Hillary might offer to answer one question...what  was the problem in Libya with the dead ambassador.  Then she'd lay out....the Obama team gave out some US weapons  which ended up in Afghanistan and used against the US Army.

One brief story....no more than 60 minutes on a stand, and she gets Bill and herself out of trouble.

5. Finally, just odd numbers....so far for deporting  folks.....Trump has only achieved 35-percent of what Obama  did....and only 8-percent of what Bill Clinton did.

People (from left/right) seem hyped-up...mostly over a marginal performance (so far).

Trump's Movement On Psychiatric Care

President Trump has consistently advocated for expanding access to long-term psychiatric care facilities, often using outdated terminology like "insane asylums" or "mental institutions," as a strategy to address issues such as homelessness, serious mental illness, public safety, and crime. This approach has been a recurring theme in his rhetoric since at least 2019, when he linked it to preventing mass shootings by removing "mentally deranged" individuals from the streets.

So there's likely to be two big thing going on....first....to encourage states to broaden laws allowing courts to order individuals with severe mental illness (SMI) into inpatient or outpatient treatment if they pose a risk to themselves or others.

Second....implicitly support the construction or reopening of psychiatric facilities to provide "long-term institutional settings for humane treatment." In this case....a state will come up with a program....maybe to build three facilities...getting the fed funding to cover 80-percent of the cost to build (not  run).

So, I'll offer five humble thoughts:

1.  Red states will proceed on this....blue states will do nothing.  About three years into this....blue state leadership will be sued to such a level...that resisting won't be a option.

2.  At least 10-percent of the folks arrested/detained by the police for real crime....will meet a judge who questions  their defective nature, and get forced into a evaluation....so the mental holding unit will become a mental-prison.  I'm not saying this is a improvement....just a change.

3.  Drug addicts/crazies....will find this to be a one-way trip, and probably never exit.

4.  A fair number of people in red states who show physical violence  tendencies....are going to be long-term residents of such places.

5.  Finally, people who readily ID themselves as anger-management players....are probably going to get a 90-day stay to chill out.  A lot of us know co-workers, relatives or neighbor in this group, and would probably agree....90 days in some state-park forest compound...fills a public need.

The ID Chatter

I sat this AM...watching a  interview with a 'View' moderator.

The guy running the show asks about requiring an ID to vote.

The View-gal sums  it up....blacks in general and  women would have a disadvantage...because they don't have IDs.

I've heard the blacks-don't-have-IDs chatter over and over....with zero evidence or studies to ever back it up.

The suggestion that some women don't have IDs?  I've never heard this suggestion before.

In the 1960s/1970s growing up in a rural area....you'd note that maybe 40-percent of the women over age 50....didn't drive, and I'd assume they didn't have an ID.  You'd also note that girls/ladies between 16 and 20....it was a 99.9-percent deal....yeah, they had a license/ID.

This still correct today?  No....there seems to be a fair number of younger women (say under the age of 25) who survive in some fashion  (probably in urbanized areas) without a car or license (or ID).  A couple of studies suggest this....but whether these are fair assessments....I can't say.

How these people set up bank accounts, or get prescription drugs?  Unknown. How they fly without an ID?  Also unknown.

I'm not necessarily buying into this discussion.

Can anyone survive in Europe without an ID?  No.  That's the one thing I've noticed over 40-odd years.....once you make it mandatory, everyone plays in a legit way.

This leading to a Trump-mandate?  By early 2027....I think a requirement will be set, and voting can only occur if you present a  legit ID.  The amusing thing....a fair number of Democrats will proclaim this the end of the world....that these 'poor' people can't get an ID.

The Thing About Tariffs

Last night, I read through a fair amount of social media commentary....how the tariff crap is going badly for US consumers....with consumers  paying 95-plus percent of the cost involved.

I sat for about 10 seconds....then started laughing.  It was a massive bogus story....fake news.

X-product made in France.....gets to the US, and has a 20-percent tariff attached.  The single US consumer interested in that French product...buys it (I  have no argument about this)...paying the tariff.

The problem is....what products made in  France....does the typical working class American buy?

You line up a thousand Texans....asking them  to list French products they buy, and fewer than 50 will raise their hand....mostly saying wine or cheese.  They are the ones paying  the extra cost.  The other 950? They have no relationship to the product, tariff, or cost.

The same is true of a Swiss-made pen that sells for $1,400 (with the tariff inserted). Only the consumers hyped-up on Swiss quality....will pay that much.

The same is true for a German who buys American-made products with a tariff inserted....a typical German won't be a US-product-consumer.

Is this really so hard for a normal person to view and grasp? Or is it mostly BS-propaganda?

Greenland Invasion Worry

Greenland's Prime Minister, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, gave a talk today....warning...any time now...that they needto prepare for the possibility of a military invasion.

As he said in a press conference in Nuuk that while it's "not likely there will be a military conflict, it can't be ruled out."

I paused over the story.

Five observations:

1. On any given evening in Greenland....based on 'chatter' of excessive drinking habits....out of the 57,000 residents....probably 10-to-15 percent (say 6,000) are consuming a fair amount of booze/beer.

You could probably walk into any bar/lounge....yell 'invasion' and the crowd would drift out to the airport to watch the invasion force land.

2.  There's probably twenty influencers/YouTube folks preparing a series....talking up the invasion and asking people over and over....what's your strategy.

3.  Some political folks are probably begging Denmark to prepare a fleeing plan....to resettle the 57,000 into Denmark.

4.  At this point, the PM has probably come to realize that there's not a single bunker in Greenland presently, and he's urgently requesting funds to build one.  The chief response?  Some funding in 2028 are possible for a 200-person bunker.

5.   There's probably some Air Force major  in the Pentagon who was asked over the weekend to draft up invasion-plan 1, and he has a 3-page plan...but insists he'd like to fly in and personally visit (with hotel stay of four weeks) to assemble a better plan.

Presently, no one at the Pentagon wants to admit.....this is  one of three locations on Earth that they never had a plan to invade.

The Only Way That Acquiring Greenland Makes Perfect Trump-Sense?

The magnetic pole shifts every year, and the current trend....is it heading toward Siberia....meaning the Earth rotation would shift...maybe 10 to 20 degrees....with Greenland further 'south' to where NY City rests today.  You can assume the South Pole would also shift....being closer to the region where New Zealand rests today.

(I'm not saying this is imminent....like in the next 12 months, but could be on some 'occur-list' in 20 to 40 years).

Now....would anyone discuss this in a open room?  No.  I don't think anyone in the  EU leadership wants to talk over this impact.  I also don't think Trump or his team would openly discuss this 'problem'.

The sea area north of Canada then completely open for freighter-traffic?  Yeah....thus making the Panama Canal unnecessary.

Eight Humble Thoughts

 1.  If you drag up the rank-and-file regular working-class Americans...this Minneapolis-Somalian fraud-misbehavior.....doesn't sell.

It's like you told this 6-odd million  voter group....screw you, we don't care about your hurt feelings.

Trying to imagine this as a positive brand to sell?  It just doesn't work.

2.  Just odd....ICE comes to Memphis....maybe for 10 days.  They detain around 40,000.....NO riots/demonstrations or hostile feelings by locals.  ICE quietly leaves western Tennessee.

ICE comes to Minneapolis....has barely arrested/detained 10,000 so far, but probably one-third of those detained are not illegals (protesters for this group). If you asked me....length of this deployment will go six to eight weeks....with 10,000 Americans arrested in the group of 40,000 (I figure April numbers by then).

What's really different  from Tennessee and Minnesota?

3.  Denmark does suggest they are sending more troops and planes to Greenland.

However, if you really dive into the discussion....it's a light-squadron of probably six to eight fighters, with at least two transport planes.   As for troops?  Somewhere between 200 and 400.

Yeah, it's a marginal presence, but enough that you can spend an hour nightly talking over public TV news in Denmark of the glorious Danish men and women protecting the Inuit people.

4. I admit....it is entertaining to view the idiocy of pronouns in people's bio text.

I've been thinking over the idea of making new pronouns out of thin air...for myself.

5.   Couple of decades ago....some guy connected to the CIA in a science role....wrote a book: "Adam and Eve Story."

The CIA came up classified the story....then to some degree declassified it.

Emphasis of the story?   Well....Earth's crust slips every 5,000-12,000 years in cataclysmic pole shifts, sliding 90 degrees over molten core in a day. This starts up  2,000mph supersonic winds shredding everything, oceans surging as 5-mile wave.

Supposed to be somewhat fictional.....some folks think it's not too much fiction.

This would explain the need for Greenland....where it'd slip  30 degrees south...with north Russia on the North Pole status.  Well....if true.

6.  I hear the term 'unhinged' about 30 times a day now.  Prior to 2020....I don't think I ever hear the term.

7.  I noticed someone brought it up....since 2025....a fair portion of the new recruits of ICE....are US-citizen-Hispanics.

Guessing that some  protest folks  are fairly hyped-up over this detail.

8.  Not saying it's a fact....but eventually....you start to think every single Antifa-member from the west coast (Oregon-California-Washington) has deployed to Minneapolis.

I would imagine the FBI is analyzing  cellphone traffic and noting who is not a 'local' and this is going to be a serious footnote.

Minneapolis and Don

I  wasted 30 minutes this  AM....viewing this Don Lemon-mob-church situation in Minneapolis...watching clips and viewing social media comments. So four observations:

1.  There's enough that a DA could drag Don and 'friends' into a grand jury.  Charges?  I guess you could find some mob-action and threatening behavior charge. Would be odd...convicted and showing up in some fed-jail for 3 months, and explaining your terrible crime to the fellows there....you threatened up folks in a church.

2. Had this been a Texas Baptist Church.....guns would have been present....with church members and mob folks  exchanging gunfire.

3.  This anti-ICE behavior....at the  present pace....probably by this next weekend, there's  going to be violence and gunfire.  Very civil-war-ish.

4.  I'm guessing both the governor and mayor are meeting today......you can't just pretend it didn't happen.  You will end up with National Guardsmen...probably a crew of 6 to 8....at each church in the city by next Sunday.

Sunday, 18 January 2026

Three Humble Thoughts

 1.  It's an odd week approaching Minneapolis.  After the mob-action, chaos, and beating of last week....three groups are destined to arrive shortly.

First, the Governor has activated 4,000 state Guardsmen....it's mostly to send a message to the mobs.

Second, the DoJ has directed more FBI to show up in Minneapolis. I assume to carry out warrants/raids on the fraud business.

Third, the President has called for 1,500 active-duty Army folks (paratroopers) to come into Minneapolis.

2.  If you reach a stage where you CANNOT define a woman....within a year, there's probably sixteen other things which you lose the ability to  define, and over the next decade....probably more than five-hundred things which are undefinable.

As a species....how will you survive?

3.  I'm of the mind that if you mandated 'true-ID' for voting....meaning you had to show a actual address where you reside, a social security number, and all of this merging into a national database where only one John J. Jones (ssn: xxx-xx-xxxx) exists....then 35-percent of registered voters would dissolve overnight.

Overnight, you'd have CNN suggesting some alien vessel landed, and kidnapped 60-odd million people....to explain what happened.

What This Trump Era Feels Like?

It was the best of times,

it was the worst of times,

it was the age of wisdom,

it was the age of foolishness,

it was the epoch of belief,

it was the epoch of incredulity,

it was the season of light,

it was the season of darkness,

it was the spring of hope,

it was the winter of despair.

-- Charles Dickens

Yeah, there are two groups of people existing in Dicken's vision, and it's basically the same vision in my mind of 2026.

People fantasize over despair, and fantastic achievement ahead....with no real  middle ground for the two groups to merge, or sit in the same pub.

The book where the quote comes from?  A Tale of Two Cities.

How does the story in the book end?  Well...there's public order to execute some guy, and an associate takes his place at the end.  The ending theme....the ending emphasizes the image of resurrection (the guy who escapes death), self-sacrifice (the doomed guy), and hope amid chaos.

As much as the whole book, and story is 'dark' and tragic....there is some final good point of quiet triumph.

Maybe the Trump era ends that way as well.

Footnote: I read the book originally around age 14.  It's one of the twenty-odd books that I think every kid should read by the age of 18.

Three Humble Thoughts

 1.  Not front-page news, and won't be covered by CNN....but the mother of Hunter Biden’s love-child is calling for his arrest after failing to uphold child support agreement.

From what I can figure....the court gave Hunter a $5k a month situation to pay, and he's mostly failing on that.

Does he actually have the money?  I'm not that convinced.  But the  judge is likely to dig into the banking business.

2.  Remember Ryan Wesley Routh?  Attempted to shoot Trump in 2024.

Well....came up this week....the DOJ is seeking life in prison for Ryan Wesley Routh.

3.   This past week....there was a oddly-worded piece from the Department of Homeland Security.  It was advising its U.S. citizens to be prepared to present proof of citizenship.

Just an odd feeling....things to come....if you intend to vote in 2028....I'm betting that this citizenship requirement comes up, and things get 'rough' for some folks.

The Ten Issues That Come If Trump Does Buy Greenland

 1.  The Greenland folks (both the Danes and Inuits) will retain Danish citizenship....but the other 5,000 residents aren't Dane or Inuit....so how exactly will  you handle this issue?

2. The Greenlanders will state an  obvious requirement....NO asylum folks...NO migrants....limited number of residents. The US will have to agree to some limit of 1,000 per year, and show a plan on housing/settling them.

3.  Status as a territory or state?

4.  Some type of ferry service has to be procured/paid-for.....say twice a week....guessing to be run by the Army Corps of Engineers.

5.  The Green news situation (TV/radio/papers/news magazines) are paid mostly out of Danish funds.  So the US has to agree to cover this for a period of time.

6.  The two banks in operation in Greenland....have to be approved under the US Treasury.

7.  Right away....the alcoholism-suicide-social problems....have to be on some top US agenda..

8.  If Greenland goes to the state-route....I expect Guam, Puerto Rico, Alberta and Manitoba to follow within a year.

9.  Power grid for Greenland will be 'bumped-up'.....mini-nuke stations brought in, and for some period of time....electrical costs will be near zero for society.

10. Within a year.....a golf course will be developed and a 'championship' will be run each July....a 24-hour golf game.....because the sun never sets.

My Crypto Box Story

Around the next to last year of Air Force service time (late 90s)....I was called one day to come over to the secure facility at base supply to pick up three crypto-boxes.   I noted to the guy...I had not ordered these.  He responded....some program had procured (bought) the new technology boxes.

$45,000 each.

I bring them back to the vault....placing them in a locked closet. They sat there for about 8 months (still in the box).

Some contractor comes to me....saying she has the job to implement these.  There's some 40-odd page 'plan'.

I bring this up to my boss....he checks into the 'plan'.

Then oddly....this funny episode unfolds.

Somewhere between the development stage and production stage (roughly two years before I signed for them)....this technology had been 'passed' and the three boxes were worthless.

The two months that the contractor had spent writing the 40-odd page  'plan'?  Worthless.

Then came the bigger issue....disposing of them.  Supply wanted various forms of 'release'.  I wasted three hours researching the requirements....completing the paperwork, and driving over to supply to deal with people  who knew little of the program or process.

As I retired.....they wanted to write a medal over the five years in the unit....so there is a line in this stupid medal paperwork....noting my complete support of the 'xyz' crypto-box program....delivering the process on time.

The Smoke

I watch news clips a good bit.   So yesterday...came this 2-minute clip....Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen standing there after getting out of the limo....enjoying a cigarette together with Greenland’s Foreign Minister Vivian Motzfeldt 20 minutes before their meeting with with Vance and Rubio in Washington.

With the 20 years of service time....the one thing I always got to note....when folks were hyped-up and stressed....right before the 'peak'...they'd step outside and take a 5-minute smoke break.

In some ways, I was always impressed how a 5-minute smoke chilled out folks, and set a more calm nature.

Frankly, if I had to go and sit with Vance/Rubio for an hour....yeah, I'd probably require two smokes.

What Vision Does NBC Have For A Rockford Files 'Reboot'?

I paused over this reading in the AM.  NBC says 'go'....produce a season of Rockford Files  for September.

Will 'Rocky' (dad) be a alcoholic in this version?

Will Evelyn "Angel" Martin (played by Stuart Margolin) still be Jim's scheming former cellmate and con artist buddy?  Or will he be a Trans-lady?

Will Beth Davenport (played by Gretchen Corbett) as Jim's lawyer be crazy-crazy?

Will the show revolve entirely around LA corruption?

My vision....just use the 1980s version and don't screw up the basic storyline.

Humble Observations Over ICE/Arrests

 1.  I've probably watched 150 clips of car 'action' where the driver was told to exit...wouldn't....ICE guys broke the glass.  Half were migrants....but the rest were mostly women (say 6 to 1 over males).

Glass repair guys are probably getting a ton of calls....coming ahead.

2.  Once you've been in a ICE-broke-my-window situation....dealing with issues....your frustration level will double.

ICE, after yanking you out and carrying your car downtown....call the tow-service for your vehicle, and it's taken to a yard (figure the tow, and storage...being near $300).

Then you talk to your husband/spouse, and they ask if this were really necessary.

3. Lawyer fees and fine?

Figure around $1k for the lawyer fee....if you just admit you were stupid.  The fine?   Figure up around $2k to $5k. If you fight it....figure 30 to 90 days in a fed-jail.  If you tried to ram ICE?  Figure 6 months in fed-jail.

4. Bail bondsmen?

Nine out of ten of these  idiot have never been arrested or put into a bail-situation.....so getting 'Larry' (the husband) or cousin Wanda to bail you out....might require some talking.

5. After you've been arrested and convicted....say for ramming....this conviction  sticks with you and will be a job-problem (most HR folks will ask questions).

Functionally Illiterate?

Someone did a survey of the Philadelphia area....over functional literacy.  Fifty-two percent of residents are functional illiterate.

Then they went to the second listing....saying that 62-percent of residents function at the 6th-grade level or less.

I paused over the numbers.

It kinda means that of a hundred people finishing high school....the majority are probably only able to handle to the 6th or 7th grade level of comprehension.  Yeah, I'm suggesting near three-quarters of society.

The question to ask....can these people even handle voting?

Across the US....like this?  I wonder about that.

My question would go to the next level....of college-graduates...how many function as marginally literate (say the 9th grade level)?

Q-and-A

 1.  Can you use plural pronouns for strictly one person?

Yes, in English, you can use plural pronouns like "they," "them," "their," and "theirs" to refer to a single person. This is known as the singular "they," and it's been part of the language for centuries (dating back to at least the 14th century in works like Chaucer's Canterbury Tales).

2.  What kind of person leaves their house in Minnesota....in the midst of winter....to campaign/demonstrate....again ICE....for 6 to 8 hours per day?

Consumed person, without any life or hobbies,  or interests....other than fighting 'evil'.

3.  What I think Trump gets out of the Greenland 'deal'?

Basically....a submarine 'base' (with a US Navy presence), and some kind of economic understanding that China can't be in the Greenland economy (ever).

4.  Isn't it just odd....narco-fast-boat deliveries have gone to near zero near both Columbia  and Venezuela?

Yeah....no one really wants to take up the profession. I expect within 30 days....a cocaine crisis in the US....where prices double.
