My Thoughts On Audi (Since The Georgia Plant Is Planned Now)

I've had three Audis in my life (A4, TT, A5).  Roughly 28 years that either I or my wife....have had Audis.

So....five observations:

1.  For two of the three...we actually went to the Audi factory....did the tour....had lunch at the Audi cafeteria, and got the 30 minute intro by a Audi technician about the features.  As we drove out....we felt like it was a unique experience.

2.  Each of the three....burn oil....from day one on.  I'd say it runs from 2 cans to 3 cans of oil per year.  No leaks.  Just odd.  I keep a spare can in the trunk.  When the oil-light comes on...you are precisely one-quart low.

3.  For the TT....from day one to year ten....nothing ever got replaced except headlights, tires, and brake-pads.  For a 10-year period....it was the lowest maintenance car I've ever seen.  Summer of 2027....the TT will hit 20 years.  Oddly enough, the original battery of the TT lasted through to the 15th year.

4.  The A4 and TT were limited on 'buttons' and gadgets.  The 2019 A5?  Loaded down with excessive features and menu-items.  If you were a hundred-mile per day traveler....the features are worth the money, and it would be my selection for daily travel.

5.  If you were asking me on a comparison with VW....I'd call the Audi cars....VW-Plus-Plus.

A friend of mine bought A TT brand new He went through 2 rear toursin rear differentials During his ownership , sold it to another friend who's driven for about two hundred thousand miles and had to replace the toursin rear axle once.
" lots of spirited driving"

Most audis in the u s have a resale value that falls like a stone. My mom had an A4 sport. In a developed eight oil week at thirty thousand miles so she took it to the dealer " high end area in florida" and they presented her a eleven thousand dollar bill for a car that was worth ten thousand dollars.

She promp drove to the mercedes dealer and traded it off!
