I sat and read a commentary this past week over movies that need trigger warnings, and 'Gone With The Wind' came up. Someone suggested that 10-percent of 18-year old kids (college kids)....would need a 'trigger-warning'.
I contemplated this.
'Kelly's Heroes', 'Ben-Hur', and 'Pale Rider'? They would all require a trigger-warning.
To be honest, I suspect you'd have to attach a warning to 95-percent of movies made prior to WW II.
True Grit I or II? Both need trigger-warnings.
Stagecoach from 1939? Yeah, you'd need a trigger-warning.
The Searchers? You'd need a double or triple trigger-warning for it.
That stupid Pacific Rim monster movie? Yeah, there's a need for a trigger-warning for it.
That 1958 7th Voyage of Sinbad, with so much fake/bad acting? Yeah....trigger-warming for the monster stuff.
Gremlins? It might pass without a trigger-warning.
The problem I have....so many people with that state of fragility existing....how can we help these poor people as they advance into their 30s, 40s and 50s with all the various movies that exist?

That phrase 'trigger-warming' is hilarious... and appropriate!
