I've tried to make sense out of this story from yesterday....Kamala Harris apparently got into a big-name law school program by using their special 'entry' program for kids with “educational disadvantage, economic hardship, or disability.”
So....I know that both parents were professors....so there can't be a economic hardship, and she ended up in a highly advantaged educational situation (unless she wants to admit both parents were lacking intellectually). Now I'm left with 'disability' and kinda wondering....was she in some sense....as a kid....disabled?
Was she mentally disabled, or physically disabled?
It's a wide thing to imagine.....you'd get to some fancy-pants university, with a 'free-pass'.....then graduate four years later.
Do I buy into this disability BS? No.
I think the whole program (as devised)....was built to get pretty average kids (the 'B' or 'C' crowd into a school that had already lowered its standards. Fake-disabled? I hate to utter that phrase, but coming out of rural Alabama in the 1970s....I can generally say 10-percent of kids were intellectually-lacking. In those days....you didn't go off to college. You simply got a Piggly Wiggly job, or got on as a deputy for the sheriff.
Maybe some day, it'll all be explained....rationally, and without a lot of jumbled-up words.
Finally, it just makes me wonder....did Joe Biden end up entering college in the same manner?
