Covid Immunization Made by God?

"We are not through this pandemic. I wished we were, but I prayed a lot to God during this time and you know what, God did answer our prayers. He made the smartest men and women, the scientists, the doctors, the researchers — he made them come up with a vaccine. That is from God to us and we must say, ‘Thank you, God. Thank you.'"

-- Governor Kathy Hochul, D-N.Y. (the new governor, while preaching from the pulpit in Brooklyn on Sunday).

Kinda new on the approach to getting people to take the vaccination....saying it's God's gift/creation.

The only people logically then against it?  Well....they'd have to be atheists'.

Should Biden have taken this route and said that it was a Jesus-solution?  Well....the problem here is that President Biden would have said he was friends with a guy named Barabbas in his college days.

Maybe 'Normal' Isn't Normal

Journalist: "How many Americans need to be vaccinated for us to get back to normal?"

President Biden: "97%, 98%. I think we'll get awful close. But I'm not the scientist. I think one thing is for certain. A quarter of the country can't go unvaccinated and us not continue to have a problem."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I sat and paused over the question and the answer.

Why 97-percent?  Why not 100-percent?

But the next question is....what brings you to normalcy?  If you still had 300 people dying each day in California but 100-percent of people vaccinated....is that 'normal'?

What if you had 120 people each day in South Carolina sent into the hospital and on ventilators within three days....with ten dying by the 5th day.....and 100-percent of South Carolina folks vaccinated....is that normal?

What if you had 2,000 kids per day in America tested and positive for Covid, with 10 of them dead within two weeks....with 100-percent of all kids vaccinated....is that normal?

FYI, if you go view flu/pneumonia death numbers for Alabama in 2017.....1,174 folks who died via this method.  In California in 2017, it was 6,340 folks who died via that situation.

Vaccinated People Who Still Got Covid

 Chris Rock, the comedian

Oscar De La Hoya, boxer

Bill Maher, comedian

Wendy Williams, promi

Hilary Duff, actress

Jessie Jackson and wife

Kevin Connolly

Paul Stanley, KISS band

Corey Taylor, acter

Barry Sanders, former NFL star

Melissa Joan Hart, actress

Piers Morgan

Nine members of the NY Yankees

List goes on and on.

So what you can take is that the vaccination has a certain effective range, and then, it ends.  The lack of science reporting/data collection?  It'd just lead to ask....why can't one simple 30-minute test be developed to say you have antibodies to mount a defense or not.  That should have been developed back in the early spring.  This shouldn't even be regarded as rocket-science.

Observations

 1.  62 vessels waiting (parked) at the LA port.  Huge backlog.

My prediction?  At least three Mexican ports suddenly take on more business, and you see half of the LA port yearly business suddenly disappear.

2.  This $600 transaction notice at your bank going to the IRS to 'monitor' rule?

What's pushed in this legislative piece in front of Pelosi currently is the rule that would force banks to report to the IRS each time you touched or moved $600 or more.

Probable cost factor?  I would imagine banks making up a new monthly fee (if this occurs).  Just a wild guess, but it'd probably have to be near $5 a month minimum.

Banks or businesses happy?  NO.....a lot of anger over this idea.

3.  Governor Newsom (California) signing document to allow non-Americans to be on state employment rolls?  More or less.

Binge-Watching

Over the past month, via Netflex and Disney-Plus....I've binge-watched three series.....two successfully, with one a miserable failure.

First, with Y:The Last Man (the miserable failure).  Basically, something has occurred where all men on Earth are dead except some dude who seems to be very unlikeable and women are mostly running things.

I made it through about two episode and then just called it quits.  To view this....the women all seemed muddled-up....the guy was intensely dislikeable, and all of this was a non-comedy (yes, made into a fairly serious piece).

Whoever came up with the idea....wasted a fair amount of money and time.

Second, Squid Game (South Korean).  Nine episode and I have to admit this was a fairly creative script.  On story content.....one to ten....I'd give it a solid 'nine'.  At the conclusion of episode eight....you might think you've got the ending figured out?  Well....no, the ending will twist a bit.

It's a pretty dynamic 'jungle-camp' situation, where players die if they don't perform well.

Third, 'Sex Education'.  The third season came out recently, and I have to admit....I never watched the first or second season.

Best description?  Shakespeare with a heavy twist on sexual issues and teens.  On the script? I'd give it a 'ten', and at least eight of the people you see on the screen (in their 20s) are probably destined for major roles in the next decade.  Hint: this Ruby character finally delivers five-star moments in the third season.

A comedy?  A drama?  A romance piece?  Basically, it's got everything.

As for the peak?  There is this piece toward the end of the third season, where the school trip to France has occurred (I actually watched the episode twice).

Reviews say it's going for a fourth season, and it's worth a binge-watch.

What Joe May Admit

"Take a look at what I inherited when I came into office, when I came into office the state of affairs, where we were.”

-- President Biden this week

I sat and read through the quote.  Generally, most all first-term Presidents say this.  Some more....some less.

The problem with this....President Biden was VP Biden and Senator Biden.....so he should have a ton of expertise in handling things.

At some point in 2022, I expect some journalist to finally ask the question....if you know that Trump is having that much affect on 100-odd decisions you've made...what are you doing to counter the Trump effect?

At that moment.....Biden will probably freak out.  He'll have to admit that he's already doing everything possible to counter the Trump-effect, and it's having virtually no effect.

Public realization that Biden can't counter Trump?  Well....within hours, mental health clinics will be getting calls.....Trump-haters showing up and in serious declines of their mental state.  President Biden has admitted something that sets everyone into a vast spiral.

Pretty weird future, if you ask me.

Harris Chatter

I sat and watched this morning....a nine-minute piece of VP Harris on the 'VIEW' (from this week)....off YouTube.

First, the impression I get is that Harris's crew had the questions at least three days ahead of schedule, and they weren't exactly that difficult (stuff you'd ask your barber and expect a marginal response to be given).

Second, it was barely nine minutes of exchange....probably 90 seconds of that related to question-asking.

Third, Harris didn't really answer the Border Patrol horse assault on those refugees.....suggesting they 'split' the reins instead.  I got the impression that some horse expert explained reins to her, and before this event.....she'd never used the term 'splitting' reins before.

Fourth, nothing Harris said was a goof-up, like Biden would accomplish.  It was like talking to the pizza kid over the Braves and the kid suggests a new trade deal possible for a better 3rd baseman.

Maybe Harris ought to do this weekly....via the View, and hope to convince some folks she's slightly better than Joe.
