The Pentagon mandated some kind of human trafficking 'training' on personnel around twenty years ago. The idea was.....no one would go and pay for hookers or pass money into the human-trafficking 'gimmick'.
In the past week, I've noticed the term of human-trafficking used a good bit....mostly by people who don't understand the concept.
If you go and buy a seat aboard a train, bus, or airline....to transport someone somewhere.....with no return on your ticket cost, it's not human-trafficking.
If no money is earned or expected on the expenditure of the ticket....it cannot be human-trafficking.
Why this vast misunderstanding by the news people? I'm not sure. I suspect they want to believe something 'terrible' but can't explain how it relates.

Eugene, Oregon.
We full-time live-aboard in our ExpeditionVehicle.
We travel all over the east coast of the Pacific, including Baja, Mexico.
.
At truck-stops, we see posters about 'human-trafficking', but never invested the energy to ponder the definition.
I suppose this makes us unsympathetic... and probably uninformed and in need of a stern talking-to.
