I noticed an interesting suggestion today.
Someone said....why not put two groups of people out on two island. One group would be regular everyday conservatives, and the other would be woke-progressives. Same resources.....same tents....same start-up situation. Then the question came....what would happen in just one single year (365 days)?
I sat for a while...pondering this.
I eventually came to this logical conclusion.
The woke-progressive folks would would probably start to argue over things....the dynamic of survival....the language (pronouns) to be used....the necessity to group-talk on everything (from everyone eating the same food, to everyone using the same political slant on life).
About 90 days into this...the woke-progressive folks would start to break off into two or three groups....one being hard-core woke-progressive....the others less so.
Team-work on the woke-progressive side would be a problem by the sixth month.
Verbal attacks and physical attacks would be a common theme by the last couple of weeks of the year.
On the conservative side? There would be a discussion on day one about priorities, and most all would agree to the top five priorities.
By the sixth month, there would be an abundance of food, and they'd likely do the kind neighborly thing....offering some to the opposite crowd.
At the end of the year.....about 75-percent of the woke-progressive folks would ask to be moved to the conservative side, and I suspect around three folks from the conservative side would ask to move to the woke-progressive side.
Here's the thing....no one would suggest this one-year thing was a failure. But you'd start to notice that the woke-progressive folks didn't want to talk about their feelings much, or their failures.
Odd how society has progressed to this point..
