I have to be truthful....in terms of offend-to-the-ninth-degree.....like I see with some folks at the airport situations or in some shopping situation....I'm not that way.
1. It does offend me when I go to the Air Force clinic, and I have that questionnaire to fill out....asking me if I smoke or how much I drink. Since the 1990s when they started this 'crap'....I've probably had the questionnaire or some verbal questions posed...at least thirty times. I've often thought about admitting I smoke cannabis or that I drink a case of beer each evening....just to get the 12-minute lecture of good health. Lately, they've added one....do I feel down-and-out or depressed?
2. It offends me when I'm at a bakery...buying coffee and one single pastry....to have the clerk remark that today is such-and-such, and that I can buy one pastry and get the second one free....when I really don't want to eat the second pastry.
3. It offends me when I'm in a elevator with some woman who has dosed herself with six times the legit amount of perfume, and I feel like passing out from the fumes.
4. It offends me when the wife has gone out and bought single-ply toilet paper, and then 'issues' it to me....saying that we save money by her effort.
5. It offends me when I'm out on the German economy, and order a Coke (in a glass) and they bring the Coke out....with two single small ice cubes.
6. It offends me when I'm at the gym/fitness studio, and I observe four young lads (say 16 to 20 years old) who spend about eight minutes actually working out, and the other fifty-odd minutes BSing about some crappy date or reciting fitness BS they heard....while just standing there. Either get serious about working out, or go back to the bad date gal and share your anger with her.
7. It offends me at a beach when some fifty-year old gal is dressed as brief as you can imagine....while weighing 200 pounds, and I'm trying hard as heck not to observe or comment.
8. It offends me while at a German restaurant where I might need ketchup, and they want to bring a packet out for me....at 50-Euro cents. I suggested to the wife that we ought to carry a bottle of ketchup in her purse when we eat out....to which I was told it was a bad idea.
