Yeah, it's pretty good advice. In the Air Force years....probably in over half the visits I made to their doctors....there were never more than five questions, and then some pills dished out.
About half the time....the pills worked....rest of the time, you went back and asked for another doctor.
No one....as much as I can remember....ever asked about stress (this was 1980s/1990s). Maybe things changed in recent years.
My brother brought up a company 'talk' where the HR chief and company 'boss' talked up the practice of hugging folks....that it would help in some way. I should note, this was in a southern town, and hugging was...up until the past thirty years....generally accepted in society.
I pondered upon it in a professional atmosphere.
First, as a boss....you should not hug anyone that you supervise, and if this were a lady....I'd make sure at least three witnesses were in the room to ensure this was not misunderstood.
Second, don't hug customer or clients....period.
Third, you probably only want to hug folks that you are on a first-name basis with.
Fourth, don't hug daily....you need to limit this to just one or two a week....max.
Fifth....accept the fact that about 50-percent of guys don't hug.
Sixth....accept the fact that some women, and most guys....use crappy smelling perfume/aftershave, and you probably need to wash off the scent before you go home. Your wife, your dog.....might get suspicious of whats going on at work.
Seventh, I'd advise to keep your eyes open, focused and don't close them.
Eighth, you might want to do this before lunch....because some folks use onions and garlic for lunch items.
Just me saying this....you might want to get a label for your shirt that says 'don't hug', and just let folks know that it's a bit too much for you to handle. Just tell them it triggers you, and you need to 'haul-ass' to a safe zone.
Finally, I did look to see if any woke stuff is stated on hugging.....so far none.
For a number of years, I've heard this people-ought-to-pay-their-fair-share of income tax.
What's generally bothered me....we are at the point where six out of ten Americans pay zero tax.
These Senators and lobbyists on this agenda? I'm mostly in disbelief. The 80,000 pages of tax code? It's written mostly by Senators and House members.
What should be done to resolve this? Pick a level of income that is 'drop-dead' at welfare status ($3,000 a month per couple), and just start a new income tax code where you pay 'something'. Dump the 80,000 pages of rules and make this dirt-simple for a 8th-grade kid can understand. The whole tax code should not be more than 100 pages.
1. The answer to all this abortion business....X-number of states need to be advertising their 'model' and if you were not happy about it.....you leave those states for the other states.
All this chatter from President Biden about doing federal-act this or federal-act that....doesn't seem to motivate anyway. Just find the state to make you happy, and force yourself to accept that in life.
2. You ever noticed on the trans thing....girl transmitting to boy....that it's like 99-percent white (meaning no black or Latino gals much interested)? Just odd.
3. Joe Biden quote: “I don’t count drunk driving as a felony.”
Generally, with a DUI....you can go either way, but if you killed/injured anyone....it's automatically a felony.
4. Lot of people discussing the Trump-lunge, and if you can do it from any backseat.
5. Some people are suggesting that as November is wrapped up and the Republicans geared to arrive in January....a special counsel will be appointed to investigate both Joe and Hunter....to leverage all of 2023 and prevent the House from getting deep into the whole mess.
