I sat yesterday....watching a segment on SNAP....which the gov't is setting up a new rule...if you want SNAP benefits....you have to procure some type of temp-work...amounting to 80 man-hours a month.
Reporter asked some LA resident on their feelings about this....to which the person said: "I don't think it's fair. A lot of people don't have the resources to obtain new skills."
I pondered over this.
Shelf-stocking....McDonalds....gas-station clerk? Is there really that much 'skill' involved?
I mean....if we were tasking you to be a nuke-plant button-pusher....it'd be different....but we aren't going down that path.
But on the part of the LA resident...maybe they truly believe skill-sets are required for every single job.
