1. Very apparent that school teachers are being noted on social media for critical comments, and school principals/boards are stuck having to put them on paid-leave for a couple of weeks before they fire the individual.
In a lot of states, there simply aren't replacement instructors/teachers in a hire-up now situation....so the sub-teacher market (I predict) will explode over September/October.
Just the way it looks...nation-wide....you could be talking about 40,000 folks fired. The ones quickly deleting their social media commentary? They might realize their mistake, and survive with a suspension deal...re-hired for 2026's season.
The bothersome part of this 'path'? Once you got fired in x-state for this stupidity....can you appear in another state and just hope that they won't check your firing/poor behavior?
2. Nurses/med-tech folks in the same poor behavior 'path'? Well....I've looked at Twitter identifications and there's a fair number being ID'ed.
The problem here....a hospital HR team has two issues....they want you to do your work without any stupidity, and there's just not able-bodied nurses waiting to replace the fired nurses.
HR might find a way to say you had a mental relapse....got into some therapy, and convince the hospital director to keep the 20-odd 'TDS-suffering' nurses on (as long as they show progress in mental health).
Key issue? You don't want to be a director of a clinic or hospital....that is noted as a collection of TDS-'snake-pit' workers. It'd end up as a target for lawsuits.
3. College-level terminations. It's painfully obvious that these folks wanted to let everyone to know their feelings over Kirk's assassination. Most of these folks were in the $75k to $120k range....had tenure....were on their way to 4-star pension deals.
Private colleges might let them survive on....public colleges won't.
So if you were a 45-year old university housing director....15 years of 'duty' and felt safe....there's some warning letter by the HR folks at the college. You probably will get four weeks of cooling-off time before they hand you the 'sad-to-let-you-go' letter.
None of them will find the pay level meeting their current obligations, and you could be talking about five to ten thousand folks in some dire financial mess by December.
Recovering in five to ten years of time? No....I would suggest all of these folks will be bitter-to-the-extreme for the remainder of their life.
4. Finally....public-business-sector folks. You know...insurance agents, bank clerks, police, fire service, etc.
Some might survive the situation...mostly by volunteering to delete their social media and going 'silent' for the next couple of years....feeling an absolute threat over their job-security.
If you asked me to describe how this whole landscape appears now? I'd say a lot of folks went to some demonization-lecture...got pepped-up to be LSD-drug-like crazy, and can't help but chat about how crazy they are.
If they were just selling ice cream, lawn equipment, or cleaning your pool....you'd just overlook their mental issues. But you wouldn't let such a person lecture your 12-year-old daughter, or you sit for an hour in some church Bible-class withsome idiot talking crazy-stuff, or let the crazy-nurse tend to your wounds.
