F-Book to Meta?

I sat and watched the Facebook episode with Zuckerberg explaining the name change (to Meta) and how the future unfolds.  Then I sat and pondered for a while.

This fantasy video that Zucky showed....eventually gave me this idea that within the next five years....you will be able to drive home....sit in a chair with googles on and have a chat with four friends.

The four 'friends'?  Well....it's pretty good odds that they will all be imaginary and fake.

Marty will be some world-traveler, who is pro-environment, continually in need of a 'safe space', drinks only glacier water from Canada, and is continually confused about things.

Maja will be your Swedish friend, who is 50-percent male/50-percent female, hyped-up on vegan food, drinks Swedish glacier water, sings Elvis Presley tunes, wears most Green Bay Packers clothing, and has never been beyond Sweden in her life.

Birger will be your Viking friend, who reads Scottish erotic stories, thrilled about Egyptian pyramid chatter, sips Nile River water, and allows himself a piece of chocolate once a week.

Muffin will be your New York City friend, who tells gritty stories about the subway, hypes up environmental issues, sips mostly coffee (nine cups a day) and feels continually depressed about Trump.

None of them are real....it's just that Zucky rigged up some massive server in Utah and it builds 'friends' for people who don't want human attachment.

You're feed a thousand bits of info about yourself into the system, and it'll spit out imaginary 'friends' to fulfill your life.

What'll happen when the bulk of F-book people realize this end-game?  It's hard to say.  Some might readily approve of it.  Some might go and ask if they can retrieve the old F-book server, and just have plain regular and real friends.

So, if you thought things today were confusing....just wait.

Observations

 1.  Joe in Rome.  I had to sit and read through several stories, and there are two that stand out.

First, President Biden wrapped up his visit to the Vatican with a drive-around-Rome episode.  I'm guessing the mayor arranged this with several hundred police holding off traffic, while the Presidential motorcade passed around forty odd historic sites.  The group never stopped....far as I can tell....Joe just looked at the window and someone probably said 'we just passed such-and-such'.  The comical side of this....there were a total of 85 vehicles.  There was the entourage, the Secret Service team, support personnel, etc.  If you wanted to make a anti-statement about climate change and the way that we accomplish it....the 85 vehicles would be a good starting point.

Second, Joe's team had some type of scripted deal that they wanted Pope Francis to say and do, with cameras running.  The Pope was supposed say such-and-such....Joe had memorized some lines and would respond with such-and-such.  Choreographed?  Yeah.  The Pope's people, at least until that morning thought it was just some talking topics, and once the choreography was apparent.....they said 'NO'.....we ain't some type of TV production (like Knight Rider, MacGyver, or the Fall Guy).  At that point of the 'show' starting up.....live coverage stopped.  This brings me ask.....day after day in America, since day one of the administration....has it been the 'Joe-Show'?

2.  Kaepernick came out and said that the NFL draft system was somewhat like slavery.  He didn't say much about how he'd replace it.  I paused over the draft system....which gives loser-teams a chance to get a decent pick, and maybe rebuild (of course, unless you were the Bengals of Cincinnati).  If you just threw things out, and said it was purely about money offerings, then teams like the Patriots or Rams would be in the Super Bowl nine times out of ten and forever be signing the best players each year.  If you wanted advance past the Patriots/Rams....you'd have to pay a tremendous amount of money, and ticket prices for various teams would double within two to four years.

It's just another occasion that logic defies the Kaepernick vision.

3.  Some study was done....really just a poll....where they asked folks if they had witnessed ghostly things in their house/apartment.  83-percent of Americans said 'yeah'.   Now, no one asked if they were smoking some cannabis, drinking heavily or maybe doing a bit of LSD when this occurred.

4.  There are now four different versions of 'Lets Go Brandon' in the I-Tunes top ten.  It seems like every three or four days....someone cranks out a pretty good tune with the magic words.

The Syrian Version of 'Lets Go Brandon'

So to lay this story out in the simplest version.....there's been this ongoing crisis in Turkey with Syrian refugees sitting there and 'waiting'.

The war in Syria....just for the record, has not ended.  No one feels comfortable going back, and frankly.....they all feel the ISIS war could restart.

The average Turk?  Their patience with the refugee business is reaching a breaking point.  If you live in the southern quarter of Turkey....from Adana (the tourist region) over to the east (to Kasrik).....there are various camps/compounds, which the Turks house/feed the refugee community of Syrians.

Off some Turkish news site recently....an older Turkish guy shouted at some refugee gal (Syrian) that he couldn't buy bananas right now because the Syrian refugees were buying these by the kilo (meaning they were bulk-buying bananas).  True or not?  Unknown.

So the Syrians went to view the situation via YouTube, and a 'Lets Go Brandon' type situation developed.

Literally hundreds of social videos came up in a matter of days.  One portrayed a 'poor' Turkish family...sitting in a circle, with one single banana.  They slowly cut the single banana up....to claim the fact that they were fake-Turks trying to survive off the one banana as a family.

Naturally, this version of the Syrian's 'Lets Go Brandon' wasn't widely accepted by the Turkish community.

So in recent days....to show their anger, the Turkish government selected seven young guys who were making the banana videos....filed the deportation paperwork, and forced them to leave Turkey.

If you go and view social media chatting.....there's a fair amount of humor on both sides, but there's a serious amount of hostility brewing as well.

The term 'eating bananas provocatively'?  It's enough now in Turkey to get you in serious trouble.  You could get a visit by the cops if you were in a pub....drinking tea and suddenly everyone pulled out bananas to munch on.

Those That Stay and Those Who Go

I sat yesterday and read a 'Dear Annie' piece (kind of like a Ann Landers piece).  So this lady (figure in her 40s, single, professional in job/life) had this problem.  Her life centered on the family (her parents, and her brother....with his wife and three young kids).  The story is here.....but I'll try to simplify it to ten lines.

This was a California group.....all born there.....schooled there....living out their lives there.

'Suddenly', the brother announced that he and the family were leaving, and relocating to Texas.  The sister?  Severe case of distraught, and emotionally....barely taking the situation.

At some point in the piece, the lady says the primary reason driving the brother to leave is 'politics'.  She can't understand this logic though.

So, you have someone who can't handle the brother's family leaving, and she asks if she should speak to the family and try to convince them of the great 'wrong' they are planning.  'Anne' responds....sure, tell him the anxiety you feel....just don't make this a 'us or nothing' situation.

I sat looking over this.  In the past 18 months (Covid era) I've viewed at least a hundred YouTube videos where people have said 'enough', and sought to leave from NY City, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and LA.  They all needed some outlet to explain their logic and reasoning.

One guy, just into retirement and exiting NY City......was a third-generation New Yorker in his family.  His entire life since the mid-1950s was centered on life in the 'big apple'.  This was around six months into the Covid era, and it was a sharp pain to make the decision.....but staying there was near impossible.  His entire life was structured around socializing and pub-hoping in NY City.  Covid destroyed his 'hub' of his life.  So he packed up the house, and moved to Florida (I should note that it took a month of thinking over the idea to reach this conclusion).

One gal....having lived two decades on the outskirts of Portland....couldn't take the destruction of Portland by the Antifa folks in this Covid era.  It was no longer the ideal place, and she left for rural surroundings on the east coast.

As you look at the hundred-odd people....there are four basic things that fall into place:

1.  Covid or Covid authoritarian rules.  The NY City crowd and the California group often cite this at the very top.  They simply don't know when their lives will ever return, and that length of the unknown....drove them to extreme decision-making....doing something that they would have never done five years prior.

2.  Taxation.  In the case of the NY and California people....they all cited the odd factor that while things were shut down....taxation continued at a normal pace.  There was no relief.  It bothered them even before Covid came, but this just intensified things.

3. Politics.  This ran off in different directions.  Some cited the political climate in California over the homeless folks, and how the police were helpless.  Some cited the ease of drugs on the streets.  Some cited the crime rates going up.  Some cited the irresponsible behavior of the city council/mayors.

4.  Finally, real people.  Several folks from California talked at length about increasing public behavior of fakeness (being ultra-fragile about feelings).  You can call it the 'safe-space' crowd,  You could be standing at a patio bar-b-q, and get some lecture about some topic....where they are directing you to live x-life or x-style....without any alternate discussion.  This lecture mentality is something that you rarely saw five years ago.

So I look at the landscape and kinda wonder....if Covid doesn't end in 2021, can I even expect it to end in 2022, or 2023?  If so....why would I stay in in Seattle, NY City, or SF?  I don't want the homeless camped out in my yard.  I don't want to worry about drugged-out nutcases at the grocery store.  I don't want lectures given every four hours.  And I don't want to worry about fragile people who can't handle reality....begging constantly to escape off to a 'safe space'.

More to move?  I expect another wave of people giving up in 2022....a million-odd people from the urbanized areas....giving up.  There is life elsewhere.....you just need some motivation.  In the end, we will end up with two societies.....those who stay, and those who go.  Which will be the grumbling group in the end?

Baseball, the Pope, and Joe

“You’re the famous African-American baseball player in America.”

-- President Biden speaking to Pope Francis

There was a 75-minute meeting between the Pope and Joe this morning, and you are left to guess what Joe meant as he said this comment to the Pope.

As for the Pope's reaction?  I'm guessing he raised a finger to the exorcist-geek in the Vatican.....indicating we had a four-star demon situation brewing.

Priest-Pete ran off and got the gear....came back with a bucket of Holy Water, and doused Joe.  The Pope then recited the right chant....driving the demon out.  Joe kept shouting 'what-the-hell'.

Afterwards, the Secret Service folks made the Pope aware that this occurs all the time, and it's not anything about demons.

My Chief Problems With the E-Cars (Battery Cars)

 I have five issues:

1.  The idea is that you (the gov't) is going to inflect enough pain....that my gas car becomes a major problem.  Then I'm stuck with a car with marginal value.

2.  The minute you get into 10 F degree weather or 103 F degree heat....your battery goes into heavy loss use, and you can cross off one-third of the 'power' in that battery.

3.  If the gas cars go away.....the gas tax goes away.  If people install panels on their house.....how will you collect enough tax revenue to cover the lost taxes?

4.  About every month in Germany....an E-Bike, E-Car, or E-Bus burns up.....sometimes in the driveway.....sometimes in the basement....sometimes in a parking garage.  If you triple the current quantity?  It'll start happening every week for battery fire.

5.  It might be a positive, but you reach a point where the only thing wearing out are the batteries, tires, and lights.  Do you really want a car that lasts 20 years?

Joe and McAuliffe Event

I sat and watched the 28-minute piece, from four days ago.  My four observations:

1.  Joe was physically up and showed a fair amount of energy.

2.  About every 30 seconds....he hyped 'Donald Trump', which reached a point after ten minutes....I just kept thinking you were there to help McAuliffe.  You should have been talking about his plans, or his vision.

3.  His job (I believe) was to work on independents, and based on the text/chat....he did a miserable job selling McAuliffe.

4.  Around the 18th minute, he gets into how major companies don't pay taxes and how he's going to force change.  Funny thing....he didn't mention that he and the other Senators write the tax code and helped the companies achieve this. Even now....they are writing the new 'code' and will help regular Americans pay the tax.

The Arrival and Decline of Opium Dens

So this is a short essay over how the Opium 'world' arrived in America, and how it declined.

Basically....around the mid-1800s....as California became a magnet.....the Chinese began to arrive, and 'Dens' began to get set up.  San Francisco?  It was the chief draw for well over fifty years.  Toward the last quarter of the period....NY City became the second magnet.

Acceptance?  Most everyone agrees that the dens flourished all the way through WW I, into the 1920s and 1930s, then the acceptance business started to fail as WW II started up.  From that point on....acceptance was on the decline.

The last raid of a known Opium Den in NY City?  Mid-summer 1957.

I was reading a piece this past weekend over the business aspects (most all of these were run by Chinese members of society....rarely Americans themselves).

Successful people came to the Dens for a day or two of relaxation, and whatever pain they had (whether real or imaginary).....they felt relief from.  Yes, kinda like the issue with fentanyl or opioids today.

Where Did Jimmy Carter Fail?

In recent months, the topic of Jimmy Carter has come up more often, with varying explanations of how he screwed up, or how he fell into a 'pit'.

I would offer three observations:

1.  Jimmy Carter was supposed to be the cleaned-up and 'pure' President after Richard Nixon.  In simple terms....that role was marginalized and the 'act' that you got was the anti-Nixon.  It was a brand name or sales gimmick that just never took off.

2.  Carter was in some ways, the activist President.  He was bringing new positions, new roles, and a new path ahead for the nation.  As an activist.....he just never took off.

3.  Finally, the nation's problems (mid-1970s to late-1970s).....were more than he or his team could really comprehend.  They seemed to always be a page or two behind the times....never getting the public trust, and replacing a failed policy with a new-so-to-be-new-failed policy.

Trying to compare Carter to Biden?  You might be able to take five or six points....but there are dozens of differences.  I would suggest that the Biden crew is 'sitting' in some airport-reality, and waiting for their plane (yet to arrive).  They keep talking about the future and injecting woke topics into their daily chatter.....but it gets less and less traction.

All of this.....in just nine months?  Yeah, that's the worrying part of this discussion.  Carter had four years to reach this point.....Biden is already there and we aren't even at the 12th month.

My Take on the Baldwin Episode

It's a page 3 type story that still lingers around on page 1....a week later.

First, you can  ask yourself who really wants to watch a Alec Baldwin 'cowboy-western'?  Out of a thousand people....probably fewer than twenty.

I think this was a deal done on the cheap with one of the streaming video networks.....with a decent amount of cash but nowhere near the amount for what would have been a theater 'cowboy-western' for say....the 1990s era.

I think Baldwin was attempting to produce this at a certain price.....discovering a couple of weeks into it....that the profit margin was almost non-existent.  So he went even cheaper than normal.

The gun matter?

I'm always reminded of the 1960s 'Apache Gold' movie.....where tens thousand blanks were fired (one of my top twenty 'cowboy-westerns').  No one was severely wounded in the movie....other than those who fell off the horses.

That's the thing about it.....you go back through Bonanza, the Big Valley, High Chaparral, the Rifleman, Lone Ranger, Rawhide, Death Valley Days, Wagon Train, and Kung Fu (yes, it was a western)......there's just not incidents where gunfire killed someone.  You had experts on the set.....guys over forty mostly, who had ironclad rules about the use of weapons.

So you add it up.....cheaply produced....the weapons-master being fairly young/inexperienced.....prop-guns being taken off the set for real gunfire practice....and people on a schedule to produce scenes.   Someone will get a manslaughter charge, and they will....in turn....sue the production company for various oversight problems.  The odds of the production company being bankrupt by the end of 2022?  I'd suggest that.

Movie being finished....ever?  I'd question this.  The network who financed this?  Screwed, I think.

Ten Things About Corona That Remain Odd

 1.  Remember how the wet-market story (out of Wuhan) suggested the trigger to the virus was Pangolins (the anteater type creature)?  And now?   It's always bat-chatter.  it's like the Pangolins paid someone to just drop them as a news topic.

2.  Wet-markets still operating in China?  You would think that once Corona started up....virtually all Chinese would have halted business with wet-markets.....yet that never occurred.

3.  The automatic answer in China to a upward 'tick' of Corona?  Shut down an entire city.....for weeks.  If you tried to do this in the US....civilization would fall apart in ten days, or people would just pack up and leave (like NY City).

4.  Covid vaccines approved by FDA?  Well....to put this into prospective....Fentanyl is also approved (since 1998).  It doesn't mean that everything FDA approves is 'God's gift'.

5.  This whole 'cult-like' state over Corona....revolves around oppression in various ways (if you sit and think about it).

6.  The difference between Trump-Corona mandates and Biden-Corona mandates?  One group obeys one, and another group obeys the other.  Pepsi-versus-Coke type discussions?  More or less.

7.  After about 70-odd years of Soviet-style regulation on people.....no one took anything serious anymore.  You see the same skeptical nature of people building up, and the Corona-Soviet regulations are falling into the same path.

8.  There are various misinformation, mis-misinformation and mis-mis-misinformation campaigns going on....on a daily basis, about Corona.  Just in an average day, you are probably engaging in Corona-chatter-misinformation with at least ten people.

9.  In the past month, some people have started to pull out Lyme disease and ask stupid questions over the CDC handling of it, and ask if Lyme disease connects to the same incompetence of Corona.

10.  Will the epidemic in the US ever end?  People rarely asked this in 2020.  Today?  I would take a guess that a quarter of the population engage on this topic at least once a week, and the 2024 Presidential election might be more about ending it....than anything else.

Hunter and Art

 I noticed there's a second 'art-show' for Hunter Biden being arranged....Soho, NY.

The first show?  Well....he had five paintings up for show, and sold them....roughly $75,000 each.  The exhibit management folks will take some money off of this (figure $5k minimum).  So he walked away with around $350k.

For those who didn't know....there's a tax credit (federal) out there for artists.  You can deduct 20-percent of your net income from the 'business'.  You can also count various expenses (like the shows) as a credit.

The Soho event?  Well....the hint is that very few of Hunter's works will be shown.  I'd just take a guess.....it won't be more than five (like the California exhibit).  Another odd thing....it's highly private.  The guys in charge already hint that you'd apply to get in and there would be a review of who you are, and the 'status' you have.

In the real art world (not that I really have that much interest)....most hobby artists will tell you they might work on two to four pieces per year.....meaning they put an enormous amount of effort into this, and don't paint daily.

The Van Gogh tradition?  At the point where he entered the mental facility (for the breakdown).....he'd done roughly 130 paintings in one single year.  After the mental facility.....he reached around one painting per day.  There in 1890....at the peak of production.....he committed suicide.

Doing the rough math, I'd take a guess that he's producing around one painting every three to four weeks.  Profit-wise?  Again, if you estimate on production and $75,000 being the norm.....Hunter ought to be able to make near one-million dollars per year (before taxes).  This to continue after Joe's four years?  That's the real question.

Did Mayor Pete Buttigieg Have Any Qualifications?

 For Transportation Secretary?  No.

From the past ten 'fillers' of the job.....did any of them really have the resume or background for the job?  No, not really.

I hate to suggest it, but this is usually where you offer up a job to some 'loser' within the party (Republican or Democrat), and it's just a 'honor' situation.

I'd even go and suggest from the late 1980s....Neil Goldschmidt...was probably a more unqualified individual for the job than Pete Buttigieg.

But as you glean the past decade of accomplishments for Pete Buttigieg....he just hasn't done anything on paper that noted him as capable for an executive type position.

The feeling that Biden just 'owed' him something?  That's mostly how you see this mess.

Marginalized Comedians?

Somewhere around a decade ago, I came to the realization that probably half of the people who were trying to 'sell' themselves as comedians (either on TV, radio or at clubs)....weren't that capable.

Do we have an over abundance of comedians today?  Yes, I'd offer that observation.  Probably forty-percent ought to renew their resumes, and just look for real work.  From the remaining crowd?  Probably half of them are marginally cutting it....either improve or just preparing your resumes as well.

There's a Brit comedian who came out with a five-star response/explanation for BREXIT (comparing to a Burger King), who had one brief moment.  Ever since that joke.....he's gone back to marginal humor.  He still gets invites to comedy club routines, but it's obvious that he was just lucky for one four-minute routine for BREXIT, and the rest is history.

Late night TV?  It's mostly crap....with the exception of Gutfeld on Fox.

Would I go to a comedy club for an evening?  If I knew who was appearing.....yeah.  But if it's an unknown group, or two 'losers'?  No.....I'd skip it.

Shutting Down Purchasing

I sat and watched a economic news piece yesterday, and the advice given by one 'expert'.....just lessen your purchases, and things will improve.

Back around 2008 (the great stock collapse year).....Germany had a serious financial decline, and someone bought up the standard German dedication for periods like this....lessening purchases.  It quickly got brought up....this traditional remedy to German economic woes (historically)....also brought on an industrial 'mess' where factories went to 50-percent production (folks laid off) and a whole new problem was cranked up within months.

The experts could actually go back over dozens of years and show the German standard of lessening purchases....was the wrong method for recession and price-issues.

In this scenario, you'd wake up around April of 2022....where half the number of freighters were progressing across the Pacific, and there were truly less items on the shelves....because production went to a 50-percent level.  Then price-increases would occur on a weekly basis because of the shortages.

If you use the history of recessions....at least since WW II....most recessions never last more than twelve months.  If you used the history of recessions.....prior to 1900....most recessions went on for two to four years.

The system normally improves the situation....unless you really 'toy' with it and create additional 'triggers'.

White Power - Joe

About two years after I retired from the Air Force (around 2001 timeframe)....I was continuing to work for the AF, as a contractor.  One day, we had this incident occur with an airman in the shop, who'd posed for a picture for the base newspaper.  In the pose, she had some finger gesture that the photographer had suggested which was really the simple old-fashion 'OK' finger deal.

After the photo was published and the paper came out.....suddenly the base social affairs office got entangled in the airman's business.  You see....this 'OK' gesture had been assigned now to meaning some type of gang-symbol, and meant 'white power'.

There was some type of meeting....this young female, her First Sergeant, two or three social affairs geeks, and some officer from the Base Commander's office. The airman had grown up in some Arizona town....fairly naïve (even by 1990s standards), and was totally shocked at the amount of hype this photo had triggered.  Eventually, they all decided she was that naïve.....that she didn't know much of anything about white power, and wasn't a gang-member.

After she came back to the office, I asked if there was some official way of this white power gesture being done.  No....just the plain old 'OK' gesture was enough.

For about an hour, I sat there....in a bit of a daze, and just made a mental note....never-ever show an 'OK' gesture to anyone.

So this all comes up because Joe Biden went over the past couple of
days....showing the 'OK' gesture, and the news media had to go and defend Joe.....that he didn't mean 'white power'.

The trouble is.....you don't know.  Maybe Joe is all into 'white power', and he knew precisely what he was doing.  Maybe he is like me, and the whole 'white power' thing just missed him in the 1980s/1990s.

Around this 2002 era, I brought this up to some guy, and he laid out the various gang signs.....probably two dozen of them.  I sat there and felt....well....from the baseball crowd alone, there's probably five or six hand signals you'd use....which might be gang-related.

Did the news folks explain this to Joe?  Does he understand this now?  His response?  He probably did a frown, and indicated to them that these are all 'Joe-power' symbols, and they need to get with his gang.....to understand the whole thing.

It's all ridiculous but it's kinda how that that airman felt in that meeting....she meant it as 'OK', and the fact that she was 50-percent Latino.....didn't really matter on 'white power'.

Dozen Things Biden Ought to Be Doing Now

To recover out of this 'administration-in-the-ditch' situation, my ten suggestions:

1.  Order the Pentagon to rig up a rescue deal for the remaining 350-odd Americans in Afghanistan.  All of them should be 'home' by Thanksgiving.

2.  Declare the Covid 'national-emergency' finished as of Thanksgiving week.

3  Fire Fauci immediately, and have a full investigation over how he funded the Wuhan research.

4.  Admit Blinken as Secretary of State was a four-star mistake.....release the guy, and hire up someone who had nothing to do with the Obama administration.

5.  Admit that Hunter's art business is highly unethical.....let him go back to the Ukraine and be a natural gas executive for cash flow.

6.  Halt all chatter within the administration about being the 'anti-Trump'.  Just be Joe Biden.

7.  Admit the FBI is totally screwed up, and set into motion a plan to divide them into three separate groups.....each headquartered beyond DC.

8.  Dump the trillion-dollar scheme.  If it did come with zero-dollars cost....then increase it up to forty to fifty trillion and just issue everyone a $30k voucher.  Truth is....no one believes the zero-dollars cost chatter.

9.  Stop telling 1960ish Bob Hope-type jokes.  Trying to be the 'funny' Joe Biden doesn't work anymore.

10.  Fire Pete Buttigieg (make it an ambassador if necessary), and hire some guy who has a massive amount of logistical background (non-Democrat) and then force the LA port folks (union members) to accept modernization.

11. Admit the immigration program and border control issue is a serious problem, and hire someone to correct the whole program (don't hand the job to Harris).

12.  Force yourself into a conference room every month with a dozen reporters and answer questions for sixty minutes.  If you aren't capable of handling this situation....then admit it, retire, and hand the job to Harris.

Five Basic Mistakes Biden Has Made Since January

For a guy who spent eight years as Vice-President.....you just stand and admire the landscape of today, and wonder how someone could make five mistakes of such magnitude.

1.  Hiring of 'lesser-people' to be cabinet secretaries.  It goes beyond Mayor-Pete.  Blinken as Secretary of State has been a hit-and-miss guy....meaning 50-percent of what he's done....is crappy work.  Garland as Attorney General?  He's continuingly digging himself deeper into a dead-end....meaning I don't see him in the job by the end of 2022.

2.  The Afghanistan mess.  All he had to do....sign up to a plan, and let the Pentagon manage this to the bitter end.  The month of August?  A great demonstration of incompetence, and no one will stand up to take the blame.

3.  The Christmas-port business.  As President, you would expect him to walk in and say....'in 90 days, I want the Covid epidemic to wrap up and downsize.  I want the nation going back to normal business.'

In his mind, the epidemic won't conclude in 2021, and I seriously doubt that they can declare 'freedom-day' in 2022.  The port business?  You can view numerous experts talking about this....most don't see this resolved till mid-summer 2022, and some suggest zero potential to resolve anytime in 2022.

4.  Hunter Biden.  If there ever was a moment when you needed to dump the kid and send the prosecutors after the 'kid'....it's now.

5.  Trillion-dollar deal.  There's a hundred problems with the draft bill, but it essentially goes to his chatter suggesting that 3-trillion dollars of funding....has zero-cost dollars attached.  He repeats this over and over, and each time....looks like a junkie on the streets of San Francisco on some 'high'.  If it was truly zero-cost dollars attached....why not make it a 20-trillion dollar gift deal?

These are mistakes that President Obama would not have made, and it just leaves you wondering....what's new for mistakes in 2022?

How The Townhall Went

I tried to watch the Biden-townhall event early this AM, and it's pretty odd....YouTube does have various clips, but they are 'cut' and mostly 3-to-4 minutes only.  So after a good bit  of effort....I finally found the 74-minute CNN-Biden-townhall event.   You can view it here.

So I'll offer four observations:

1.  The two-minute talk over his trillion-dollar deal?  It just didn't sell.  On used-car chatter....I'd give him a '2' out of a '10'.

2. Peppy?  Well....yeah, he was a bit peppy.  More than normal?  I doubt it....Joe seems to get some surge of Adeline with these townhalls.

3.  It's just odd....the number of fact-checkers who appear in the hour or two after the townhall....from both left and right.  Must have been at least ten differing fact-checker views.  If you added up all of these....must have been twenty different Joe-moments which crapped out one way or another.

4.  If I were rating President Biden on incoherent statements (just that alone)....there were probably fifteen-plus moments where he just seemed 'out-of-it'.  Some were just comical moments that I suspect he added for comic-relief (which Joe is probably one of the worst at handling this type of humor).  It's like he's a modern-day version of the 1960's Bob Hope......trying to tell the same type of joke, and no one under 80 years old is laughing.

All a stage event?  Well....he can't do reporter Q-and-A sessions anymore, without goofing these up.  So he needs the CNN-type episodes where the questions are carefully formatted to fit what Joe can handle.

What I generally expect for the next twelve months....probably every couple of months....CNN will do a public service open forum like this, and at least allow the public to get some feeling that Joe can answer questions.  Maybe you'd like for him to answer more difficult questions....but this is basically all that Joe can handle.  Just accept that.  If you hated the Trump Q-and-A sessions....you probably don't like the CNN-Joe sessions either.

Reflection Upon Joe's Trillions Deal and Inflation-Stress

Basically, without a lot of BS.....President Biden has picked the worst possible time to wage his campaign to get the trillion dollar 'gift' to America.

Maybe if he'd entered in January, and had this up as a 'hot' item in February....things would have gone differently.

You take the recession....this all occurring in mid-summer....the logistics logjam at the port, and people freaking out about Christmas gifts, it's worst possible time to achieve the deal.

Timing is everything.

Footnote: If the 3.5-trillon deal cost to the public is zero dollars of cost.....why limit it to 3.5-trillion?  I'd quadruple this up to around 20-trillion.  Give kids forty ice-cream vouchers....give everyone a 7-day trip to Vegas....issue E-cars freely to everyone.

Observations: 22 Oct 2021

 1.  Is there an International Pronouns Day?

Yes, every 3rd Wed of Oct....having started in 2018.  You are supposed to make an effort to be vigilant on respecting people's pronouns.  My chief question, having heard this.....is there a International Adjectives Day as well?  I always felt adjectives were more important than verbs, nouns, etc.  It's like using the phrase 'stupid people', and how well 'stupid' really fits into the expression.

2.  Is the new comic details of the 'son' of Superman being bi-sexual a bit 'erotic'?

I finally sat down and viewed around four drawings of the new comic, and will offer the observation that it's a bit lewd/wanton.  Some people would openly discuss the new genre existing....like 'soft-sex' comics with aliens having relations with Marvin, or some Dracula-gal all over Marvin.  It's an arousing fantasy scheme....more than a Batman/Superman 'saving-Earth' dynamic.

3.  Did Biden say gas prices are not going down anytime soon?

Yes, and you get the impression that he meant.....not just 2021, or 2022.

4.  Department of Labor (US) suggesting that 401k accounts have 'rules' that mandate progressive political agendas?

Well....yeah, they've put this paper out there to suggest they can mandate this and it'd be for the greater 'labor' good of Americans.  On the list of the top ten most stupid things I've heard in 2021.....this makes the list.  Generally, on 401k strategies....your goal is to grow money and avoid high risk schemes.  You don't want the Department of Labor anywhere near your money.

5.  The odds of Netflix kicking off Dave Chappelle from their network, for trans-scaring fragile people?

Up until this week, I would have said only a 1-percent chance.  Presently, I'd say it's near 50-50.  However, if they were to do this....it'd be a massive reaction for people to dump their account (plenty of alternate sources now).

Observations: 21 Oct 2021

 1.  Isn't all this movement of immigrant kids around America....basically human trafficking sanctioned by the US government?

Well....the fact that it occurs at night, and no one from the White House talks about this....does hint of human trafficking.  But you kinda notice....no one from the Democratic side of the Senate seems worried.  Just an odd scene....like you walked into a party where seven people lay dead on the floor and no one seems to know how they came to be dead.

2.  Any truth to Senator Manchin (D, West Virginia) converting to Republicans?

Well.....he says 'hell NO'.  Several state papers in WV are saying there's some substance here, and maybe he's talking to McConnell over getting Chair over Appropriations Committee (meaning that Selby from Alabama might be in some transit situation (stepping down)).

If he goes?  Well....Biden is toast for getting anything done for rest of 2021 and all of 2022.  Just something to think about.

3.  Illinois sheriffs saying they won't send help, if Chicago dismisses the no-vax police?

To put this in prospective....Chicago says they can mandate the vax business and fire cops who refuse.  Creating a shortage?  No doubt about that, and their only way to find a temp solution....is to get the state sheriffs around the state to contribute vaccinated deputies to fill the gap.

If they don't get the deputies?  I'd say wild crazy stuff will start within a week, and Chicago would turn into some massive chaos.

4.  Finally, NIH admitting 'gain-of-function' research funded by Fauci?

Yeah....NIH went yesterday.....admitted funding occurred and Wuhan's lab was doing 'something'.  In most countries, a prosecutor would be on Fauci's situation and conducting a search warrant.  Here in the US?  Nothing.

Another Problem?

I tried to make sense out of this headline: "Disaster in the Making: 12,000 Afghans in U.S. Now with No ID Whatsoever."  It's from Front Page Mag.

If you follow American voting chatter.....there must be over one-million Americans citizens walking around, without an ID.  No one says much about this, and certainly, you won't stop them from voting.

On Mexicans or other foreigners walking around without an ID?  It's anyone's guess, but I would go and suggest a minimum of one million, and probably going up to around three to four million.

Even if you got fancy about this.....'giving' them a state ID of some type....who would pay for it?  And if this made sense.....why not give those Americans walking around a free ID, and then mandate the ID for voting.

On my list of things to worry about?  It probably rates near the 16,808 number on my list.

Is There Such A Thing as 'Biden-Unity'?

I think among the forty-odd promises made by Joe Biden in 2020.....this talk of bringing unity finally to the nation (after four years of Trump and a questionable period of eight years of Obama-unity).....about 80-percent of us will agree that Biden-unity is non-existent.

To some degree, I might even go and suggest that among Democratic-leaning voters...even half of them would laugh and say Biden-unity is a fantasy....mostly to the degree that it will never come before 2025 (when Biden leaves).

If you tried to engage people on this topic....most would just laugh and ask if you have anything better to discuss....like potholes in the neighborhood, dog-tricks, recommended motor oils for riding mowers, or least favorite NCAA football team.

Should this even be brought up to Joe?  He'd probably ask who the hell promised that, and did they understand the 'real-world'?

Ten Things I Have Lowered My Expectations On

 1.  CNN.  Muting CNN is just something I've gotten used to and expect to occur at least ten times per hour.

2.  NFL football.  It's been about five years now, and I've lowered my expectations down far enough....that I don't even watch it now.

3.  Airlines functioning on-time, without cancellations.  Even three years prior to Covid....I was already preparing a plan 'B' if cancellations or delays were to occur.  I had hotels on a sheet, their numbers, and a general plan when I got 'dumped'.

4.  Star Wars.  To be honest, I've had lesser expectations since Episode 1 from May 1999.  The first three of the series were 'winners', and from 1999 on....it's been mostly crap.

5.  Saturday Night Live.  If I do force myself through an episode....I probably only laugh at 50-percent of the skits.

6.  Republicans who say they are Republican but tend to BS-around and portray themselves as fairly marginalized Republicans.  John McCain was in that group.

7.  Truth commissions being effective.  There has never been a single effective truth commission....anywhere....over the past thousand years.

8.  Do-gooders accomplishing anything worthwhile.  Doesn't matter if it's a charity or some private group....after you evaluate the cost and end-result, most of these are worthless.

9.  Colleges producing people capable of critical thinking.  If you spent $75k over four years and can't show any talent at critical thinking.....you might as well have prepared the resume for a shift-supervisor job at McDonalds.

10.  Reality TV actually being 'real'.  After viewing a number of episodes of the 'Amish Mafia'....I eventually came to the conclusion that those folks weren't Amish enough, or the whole thing was faked-up.  But this brought me back to a dozen other reality TV shows, and how fake they were.

The Less is Less Story

The Washington Post went and did a commentary....basically telling Americans that you need to show some 'courage', and just accept "lower expectations" in 'Biden's America'.

Micheline Maynard is the one who wrote the piece, and it's aimed primarily at consumers.

The attitude of the piece?  Americans are spoiled rotten, and mollycoddled.  The suggestion is that it's been going on for decades.

So I sat and pondered upon the piece, the necessity for it to be written, and the implications.

First, I'm guessing that Maynard stops each morning at Starbucks and buys a $5 cup of coffee, and she might be still functioning in the spoiled rotten situation.

Second, it would make perfect sense to lower expectations if we were in a state of war, or some tidal wave had wiped out California entirely.

Third, I would agree there are probably a dozen reasons for the logistical problems that exist.  One of them....the port union folks in LA stood against automation in the 1990s, and we operate a third-world operation there which marginally works even in a non-Covid era.  The union mollycoddled itself, in this case.

Fourth, accepting 'less' being a norm?  Go tell President Biden or any of the 100 Senators.

Fifth, the last time I checked....a basic subscription to the Washington Post for a single month is $10.  If Maynard is correct....maybe folks shouldn't accept the Post deal unless they cut the price by 30-percent.

Sixth, what if we did go this route of accepting 'less'?  What if we all agreed from today (20 Oct) for the next hundred days....we would all spend less....eat less....drink less.....and start cutting our personal budget by one-third (all of us could admit it's possible).  You would see a magnificent wave of commerce failing because of our incredible dedication.  We could set America back two decades on the commerce scale, and cut the government tax revenue gimmick at the same time.  I'm guessing that wasn't the intention of Maynard.

Seventh, I sense this propaganda-piece by Maynard as a suggestion that the Christmas season coming up (probably appearing by Black Friday weekend) to be a fairly crappy commerce season.  President Biden going out and trying to stall our discontent?  It just won't work, and Maynard is more of a mouth-piece than a real journalist.

There is a quote which fits well here: "The minute you settle for less than you deserve....you get even LESS than you actually settled for."

The 'Lost' Generation

When I was in the Air Force.....about once every four months....someone would post a note on the entry door of the barracks.  It typically read 'Maintenance folks coming next Monday afternoon to repair such-and-such'.

They did the warning note mostly to ensure you didn't have some rendezvous going on with some lady.

I noticed this week.....a private Ohio college....Oberlin College (liberal arts school) had posted up a maintenance warning like this, for radiators.  Yeah, these weren't ultra modern dorms....these were the old style which still had radiators, and they were installing new ones.

I admit.....it's late in the season to do this, and it probably should have been in July.

So here's the thing (reported in the news).....college kids got upset and scared....mostly because maintenance MEN were the ones showing up and doing the work.  The dorms you see.....were supposed to be 'safe-zones' for women and trans people.

In simple terms....this maintenance situation became a four-star 'goat-rope' (a 1950s term for a cluster-fu*k).

I sat and thought about this dilemma.

How could these college kids survive riding on aircraft, trains, or buses?

How could these college kids survive with home repair being done mostly by husky guys with beards?

How could these college kids survive with their transmission repair job being done by big chunky men?

How could these college kids survive with taxis being driven by Afghan Islamic characters?

The list goes on and on.  They will graduate....attempt to pursue careers in the real world, then find that their fantasy world easy collapses without much effort.

The question to ask.....how did we reach this stage where people freak out over guys replacing radiators?

Demonizing Wealth and Success

In the 1990s, you might have bumped into five people in an average year (traveling around or working) that had problem with people who amassed wealth or showed success in their life.  Today?  An average guy probably bumps into forty people minimum in a year....that have a problem with successful people or people who have wealth in their background.

You can call it jealousy....resentfulness....whatever.

Via the internet, you see a lot of college students who show this behavior and often want to accuse the guy/gal of being 'greedy' or 'selfish'.  So the chatter starts up....we need to tax that guy more....to redistribute their money to others.

You notice occasionally people trying to lecture others....not to be successful....hold back your 'urges'...or to demonize you over your 'evils' in life.

Where this all leads onto?  You have to sit and ponder over the future, and how regular Americans will survive.  Our heart and soul has been to get ahead....work for goals, and achieve success.  This resentment group are standing in the midst of our path for the future.

Cognition Tests?

I noticed in the past couple of days....Senator Bill Cassidy (actually a doctor) has suggested that cognition tests ought to be mandated no only to the executive branch of government.....but also to the leadership legislative branch.

So what would happen if a mandate occurred and you demanded not only the President and Vice-President took the cognition tests yearly, but the rest of the cabinet officials and the next 500 executives/generals of the government?  Personally, I'd take a guess that at least a dozen would fail the first round of the tests....openly challenge the quality of the test, and five or six would be forced to retire.

If forced in the House/Senate....just among the top of each party, the House Speaker, and the head of each committee?  Presently, I'd suggest at least three people failing the cognition tests.

What'd we notice is that it's mostly all people over the age of seventy or people who'd been identified as heavy drinkers for the past thirty years of their life.

Is it even possible to mandate this?  I doubt it....without the power of the Constitution....it won't occur.

What'll eventually happen?  I suspect at some point in 2022....some episode will unfold at the White House where Joe Biden goes to some extreme and spends five minutes lecturing people over some silly non-existent problem, or talking about his brief non-existent season in the NFL as a quarterback for the Rams.

At that point, the general public will ask why we can't test these folks.

The 'Bad' Joe Story

So Mark Dice (the guy who shows up on college campuses and asks stupid questions)....does a bit on a campus....letting people (college kids) know that Joe Rogan shot and killed a triceratops (the dinosaur).  He has a petition to say that Joe is 'bad', and asks if the 'kid' would sign it....to condemn Joe.  You can view it here

Several observations:

1.  People (college kids) actually signed it.  I get the impression that 'bad' Joe is on their list to condemn.

2.  The triceratops angle doesn't seem to catch them at all.....meaning their critical thinking skills (while in college) are near zero.

3.  They all seem eager in some weird way to condemn Joe, without thinking much of what's said.

4.  Each are over the age of 18, and it is worrisome that they can vote.

5.  A fair number of the folks were at least in college, but it begs the question....should they be there or selling used cars?  It just doesn't seem they are getting critical thinking skills, and will be utterly dependent for the rest of their lives on others to think for them.

Just something to think about.

Gut Feeling on Netflix's 'Another Life'

This is a science fiction series....opening up the second season in the past week or two.

I sat through season one and just kept thinking....surely they will hire new writers and improve the script.

Chief problems?

Most everyone on this space vessel....is a 'loser'....to the 3rd degree.  The characters....even the 'Captain' were written that way.  If they were on a truck going to Nashville and the tire went flat....they'd all stand there for an hour....talking about the implications of the tire, and suggest six different ways of resolving the flat tire problem.

The aliens?  You keep thinking....they might actually be 4-star bad guys, but then something will come up to suggest they are just neutral bad guys.  I'm to the point where I think the aliens are just some AI computer and punch-drunk on some Bill Gates code-writing.

Exciting?  There's maybe a 60-second piece in each segment where you kinda feel excitement, and then?  It just drains into a pile of crap.

The AI-guy?  Zero character....zero charm.....zero likeability.  You could do better with the idiot robot on the 1960s 'Lost in Space'.

They spent a ton of money on graphics, and it shows like a five-star series....that's the weird part of the series.

Sexual issues?  Various little elements pop up and there's a ton of gender problems going on, or just plain regular sexual tension.  They all seem to need entry into some Daytona Beach swinger's bar but just keep talking about how it was weeks or months ago.

I'm up to episode two of the new season, and just shaking my head.  So much potential and it's run by juvenile management and no real theme.

Pentagon and the Covid-War?

Two odd things are going on with the US Navy and the Covid vaccination business.

First, the Seals are using religious conviction to decline the vaccinations.  Odds of this working?  They've probably already gotten the Yellow Fever and Cholera shots.....so the religious angle is questionable.

But in the midst of this.....the Navy said that if you do this (as a Seal)....they can demote you....seize some of your pay....remove you from your Seal duty....then make you pay your money back.

Naturally, this intensifies the court action (roughly 34 Seals have a case brewing)..

Second, the Navy says all money used to produce a Seal (going up into several million) will have to be repaid.

The problem here....once they reach the Supreme Court....the Navy will be asked if the lowest cook on the Covid-kick-out list is required to pay his training money back. 'No' is the likely answer.  The radar-guy?  The firemen?  The nuke-power technician?

The court will establish that if you died on day one of official duty as a Seal.....no one takes a penny out of your paycheck to pay for past training.

In simple terms....this whole mess will linger around for 2 to 3 years.  Counter-suit?  More than likely and I'm guessing each guy affected will ask for lawyer cost, and at least half-a-million in damages.

Massive public relations damage done in the midst of this business?  Yeah....even if they wised up in 2022 (don't expect it).....it'd still linger as a frustration item for five years minimum.

What Does 'Irish Democracy' Really Mean?

The Irish people learned long ago....that democracy revolves around politicians doing things which have no plus-up or benefit.  So they invented this society situation where you just avoid doing things that the law says you must do, or mandate you into doing.

If the law says you should only have 3 ales in one sitting at the bar.....you sit and keep drinking without counting (meaning you might have consumed six ales).

If the law says you can only purchase a used car under these conditions.....you might stand there and violate the conditions without much discussion or guilt.

If the law says the sitting/standing capacity of the bus is 42 people....you might be the driver and just forget to count.

For this reason, Irish politicians are happy because they can write a hundred laws per year with no benefit other than front-page material, and the Irish people are happy because they don't really observe or obey the hundred laws anyway.

The Next Biden 'Stumble'

It's been a crazy year for President Biden, and you'd think that the stumbles would eventually be seen ahead of time, and avoided.  Well....no.

Around the 28th of November, the Navy will start processing non-vax folks 'out' (honorable discharge is the term used presently).

How many Navy folks are vaccinated?  Unknown, but a month ago....they said it was around 82 to 84 percent.....meaning around of the 332,000....meaning around 59,000 would be in the line to be discharged.

How I expect the 28th to arrive?  Just a humble guess that 10k to 15k will suddenly get the vaccination, but 45k to 50k will be in the line to be ushered out.

These people worried about jobs?  No.  They probably already have the resumes filled out and mailed to future employers.

Hurting deployment or operational capability?  OH YEAH.  In fact, I doubt any unit in the Navy will be fully capable of 100-percent capability for at least a year, and probably even going up to two years.

Only a Navy problem?  No.  They actually have the better vaccination rates. The AF, Army and Marines all have a lesser number of vaccinated people.  In fact.....active duty folks are much higher than Guard/Reserve people.

All added up with active duty....I would suggest at least 100,000 and possibly going up to 200,000 if you count Active/Guard/Reserve total.....being discharged out.

What'll happen?  I expect within two weeks....hearings to start in both the House/Senate....centering on the Pentagon and asking how missions will be accomplished.  The 4-star crew will just be sitting there and grinning.....knowing that virtually every single mission is affected.   Some naval vessels which were slated to start a patrol in early January....will have their mission delayed or cancelled.

Somewhere around mid-November.....massive chaos will erupt in the White House as Biden now tries to explain this blunder, and international leadership will ask the question....is the US finished as a first-tier country?

The discharge game to be recalled?  I don't think the Biden-crew responsible for this mess....really wants to admit they screwed up.

But you have to wonder....from late November....for about three months, this Pentagon chaos will reign....turning into a major topic....whether Pentagon is capable of handling any emergencies.

This all begs the question....if this is the next stumble, what comes after this?  Is there already brewing a major chaos for January....that we simply aren't seeing presently?

CNN Has Fallen, And Can't Get Up

I watched the Joe Rogan episode with Doctor Gupta of CNN, and it was painful to watch Gupta take the punch-after-punch-after-punch.

In general....I can't watch much of CNN anymore.  It's just too much pain involved, and continually hitting the mute-button....say for three minutes, and the releasing mute in hopes that they moved onto another topic.

It's like dealing with 5th-grade juveniles who've gotten a network job, and jabber away on things that they know little about.

Still anti-Trump?  Around a month ago....I pulled up CNN for a few minutes, and they had launched back into another anti-Trump piece.  I had to maneuver through four years of that type of specialized reporting and really don't care to linger on the topic.  You'd think that they'd go over Hunter Biden, or any of a dozen-odd mistakes of the Biden Administration.....but they can't seem to find that logic.

The story behind the story?  You can view just about anything on CNN now, and have doubts that CNN laid out the entire story.  It's like a group of juvenile kids, who just want to tell you about one particular slant of a story, and you know there's three additional facts in the story....which are never mentioned.

In terms of 'trust'?  It's gone.

What happens to them?  I suspect in two to four years....some Mexican news syndicate will buy them, and convert it into Mexican-American news.  Sadly, no one will even notice this flip that will occur.

Fixing the Christmas Gift Mess

After a long bit of pondering, and considering the poor actions by the Administration (they should have grasped the problem already in June), I've come to three solutions to resolve the logistical mess:

1.  Christmas-Savings-Time (CST).  Basically, it'd work like Daylight-Savings-Time.  On the 1st of December, we'd move things back a month....so Christmas would come on the 25th of January....not December.

I know....this sounds pretty hokey but we do Daylight-Savings-Time all the time....so why not CST?  That extra month would ensure store shelves are full.

2.  We create a Christmas-Civilian-Corps (CCC)....where all out-of-work Americans are mandated/required to report to local logistical offices, and put into work.....driving trucks, and unpacking crates out in California.

3.  Finally, we should just blame Donald Trump for the whole mess while it is the fault of the Biden Administration (particularly 'Mayor-Pete').  It'll make President Biden happy, and perhaps lessen the burden of Biden speaking in public about the massive problem.

Ten Ways of Explaining the Christmas Gift Saga to a Kid

Upon waking up on the morning of the 25th of December, Karl Jr and Wendy go and find basically gift certificates there, and no gifts.  Dad needs to explain this:

1.  At some point in 2021, the EPA did a review of Santa's sleigh, and deemed it a problem....so Santa couldn't deliver gifts.

2.  Santa got Covid and nearly died, but he's on the recovery now.  Sadly, it'll be December 2022 before he's back to full-strength.

3.  Santa's wife caught him with two elf guys, and is divorcing them.

4.  Santa fired the elf who handled the database, and they corrupted the files before they left the office.

5.  Santa was kidnapped by radical revolutionary types (leftwing of course).

6.  The North Pole is melting, and polar bears ate three-hundred of the elves over the summer.

7.  Santa was taking Ivermectin, and had a serious reaction to the horse-dewormer medication.

8.  Santa consulted with Donald Trump, and ruined his business plan for 2021.

9.  Santa had a operation, and has not fully recovered yet.

10.  Santa's reindeer were confiscated by wildlife officials in Alaska.

President Biden's Moment on the Logistical Chain

This week.....reality hit, when most people came to realize that Christmas is going to be crap because of the supply chain business, and shelves will be mostly bare by early December.

So President Biden met with the postal folks, Fedex, Wal-Mart, etc.  The port union guys?  They aren't mentioned.

My five observations?

1.  Back in early June, 'Mayor Pete' should have noticed the delay business, and in less than two weeks....sought major action at the ports on the west coast.  He failed.....miserably.  Already in August, he should have been 'fired'.

2.  President Biden reacting?  He should have grasped the mess/chaos in August and reacted then, but couldn't.....because of the Afghanistan mess/chaos.

3.  If you drag UPS, Fedex, etc....into this mess....they could hire up people to ship faster.....but they will adjust their rates for this chaos, so you will pay 5-to-10 percent more in the end.  President Biden didn't tell you that part of the story.

4.  The odds that we have another wild chaos brewing right now and will come to realize it by the end of December?  Better than 80-percent chance.

5.  ALL of this leading back to Covid?  Yeah, and Covid in 2022 (2023, 2024 as well) looks just as good.

When will shipping and logistics look 'normal'?  If you watch the business news reports....no one is suggesting early or mid 2022.

Amusing?  I think the laugh factor will dissolve away by December, and most everyone will be frustrated to the max.  The whole worry-on-Covid business needs to just go away.

Is Black Friday (26 November) the Drop-Dead Date for Chaos in Logistics?

 Well....yes.

If you walk into most stores and the electronics area is only 50-percent 'full' or toy area is barely 70-percent 'full'....then it'll be noticed and by Saturday afternoon.....the shelves will be empty.

The effort by Amazon for damage control?  I suspect you will get 'ordered' when you sign on and 'click'.....but get a message four days later to say the item is on back-order.  New delivery date?  Probably four to six weeks away....if you are lucky.

So it'll start by Monday after Black Friday....people asking President Biden how to resolve this and getting a 8-minute speech on how things were in WW II, or how Covid is with us in the long term.

Settle back and prepare for that Monday, and how you view the landscape from that point on.

If You Tried to Bring back Petticoat Junction or The Brady Bunch Today

The producers would automatically mandate that there has to be some type of sexual connection.

So from Petticoat Junction:

Uncle Joe would have be iron-clad gay and mostly attracted to NY City guys.

Kate Bradley (the hotel gal) would have to be an transsexual (originally named Bob).

At least one of the three daughters would have to be a lesbian.

Sam Drucker would have to be into new fetish every single week.

From the Brady Bunch?

Carol (the wife) would have three to five lovers on the side.

Bobby (at age 13) would be attracted to only black women over the age of 30.

Mike (the husband) would have disco-dance routines only with men.

Alice (the housekeeper) would be swinging on Friday nights with various Hispanic men over the age of 65.

So this is the problem of producing a show today, because a quarter of the population wants to know the sexual action of each character.

Was Maxwell Smart only into women?  Was Mr Ed only interested in female horses? Did Timmy (from Lassie) grow up and run off to Silver City with Nurse Watson?  Was Otis from Mayberry never hooking up with the post office lady?  Why was Hoss from Bonanza not married at age 35?  Did Detective Dietrich (Barney Miller) wear silky women's clothing after wrapping up duty?  Was Ed Dawson from Green Acres secretly dressing up on weekends as Queen Elizabeth?  Why was Scotty from Star Trek never hooking with the Andorian alien women?

I know....it's some weird consequence of society....that a quarter of the population wants the 'down-and-dirty' of fictional characters.  It's like we couldn't get enough lusty stuff out of Baywatch, and we want triple the amount of lust out of fiction.

The question is....have we peaked, or will this get worse over the next decade?

Feeling the Pain

The chatter over missing items for Christmas presents grows louder.

I noticed an electronics expert identifying both cellphones and smart-watches as items which will be in very short supply this morning in the business news.

The kid-toy experts?  Already saying if you don't have the gift here in October in your hands.....it's probably too late.

So, who to blame?

Biden or the next dozen people under him?  You can't really make that case.  You could go out to the ports of SF, LA, Portland and Seattle.....asking why the major cranes aren't working around the clock, and get some dopey answer from the union chief there.  Some people are suggesting that a lack of truckers also fits into this problem.

Here's the thing though....if you had $1,000 which was generally spent on gifts from Black Friday to the 24th of December, and you barely spent $250 of that.....what happens to the economy?  What happens to sales tax revenue?  What happens to the store fronts which pay $10k a month for rent/utilities?

If that path slows down.....what about the brake pads for your car which you'd take in for a tune-up in February.....only to be told the pads are on back order and won't be there for another six weeks?

Your watch band breaks and you show up at x-shop.....wanting a particular style of band....only to be told this is on back order, and it won't be there for at least two months?

Your new washing machine breaks, and the warranty (thank God) is still in effect.  You call George to repair it.  So George looks at the problem....diagnoses the broke part....only to tell you it's on back order and not to expect it for six to eight weeks.

Your old mower finally gives out, and you've got $1,500 to spend on a particular new mower.....only to be told the series you desire, is on a three month back order.

At some point, whether Joe Biden fits into the problem or not....he will start to get the blame for a Soviet-style logistical system, which can't function.  To be honest, sitting and trying to listen to him describe the problem is such a pain....that you dig the cheap whisky bottle out and go through six shots to soften your 'pain' and frustration.

I'm going out on the limb here, but I'm predicting we are nowhere near the bottom of the pit, and will start to feel intense pain by the fall of 2022.  If tractor tires aren't there.....the harvest season squanders away, with less food being delivered.

If you stop at a coffee shop on the way to work, and the kid says the $15k Einstein-like coffee machine is broke and awaiting parts from the port.....which might be six weeks to six months away, how will you react?

If you stop at the pharmacy to pick up a box of regular band-aides, only to find of the twelve possible boxes normally sold....the only box there is a box of Micky Mouse cartoon band-aides.....will you accept that?

If you stop at eight grocery/drug shops over an afternoon....to buy a box of condoms for your treasured weekend with 'Wanda'.....only to find they are all out of condoms, how will you react?

Come the end of 2022....I suspect our 'blame' stage will be reaching full capacity.

Comparing the Biden Period to Seinfeld

One of the odd aspects about the Seinfeld Show....was that it concerned a group of four and their lives in a 'nothing-world'.  They'd hang out at the cafe.....run into weird characters....mostly discuss things that really didn't matter much.

So I gaze over at the Biden situation and am somewhat amazed that the Biden 'Show' is mostly about 'nothing'.

If you asked regular people what the immigration policy was about....expecting some 3x5 inch card of information as a minimum....they'd mostly suggest that the Administration has no policy.

Afghanistan, Covid, jobs, etc?  Well....it's about the same.

Maybe if we were on day 30 of the Administration....it'd make sense.  But we are nearing day 300 shortly.

The only thing you can talk about?  This draft bill circulating around the House and Senate to spend $3-trillion.  Beyond that.....nothing.

Covid Crap

Some topic came up yesterday.  All roughout 2020....folks got hyped-up (mostly negative) about Covid.  By May of the year, it was a permanent top three topic for Americans.

So when the election ended, and Biden came into office, the expectation was that Covid as a major discussion item would 'end'.

Folks kinda sat there in January....thinking in roughly a hundred days....Covid would slide to a number five to number ten item, and maybe by the end of the year....be just a ten to twenty 'worry-problem'.

So here we are....Covid is still a top three problem, and it's discussed probably a dozen times a day in some work situations.

Biden's whole 'house of cards'?  It lays there.

There's hardly a press conference that goes by in the White House....where Covid isn't dragged up.  Luckily for two weeks, we had that mess with Afghanistan.....but eventually....even there, Covid came back.  Even with the admitting of UFOs....that barely lasted ten days, then Covid came back.

If I were Biden, I'd go to the controllers of the networks and major newspapers....begging them to just halt all reporting of Covid, and order the CDC to just go out and find something else to worry about.

If we are still standing there in the middle of 2022.....chatting over Covid as a top three topic?  It only hurts Biden's goals.

The Condom Discussion

Around forty years ago, scientists, politicians and social agenda people made it a big deal that when some 'action' occurred between consenting adults....a condom needed to be worn.

This year (in the last month)....out in California....they reached a new plateau on the condom deal.  If in the middle or toward the end of the act.....if this guy were to stop for a second and do some 'quickie-move' to remove the condom (then continue on)....he needs to stop his actions and ask for permission from the gal or guy.

You can imagine this scene where a discussion starts up....maybe for ten to twenty minutes, and the arousing moment has come to pass, and this discussion opens up this need for a six-pack of beer or a couple of shots of rum.

If you failed to discuss this or get an understanding?  Well....it's sexual battery.

A misdemeanor conviction on sexual battery?  It's worth six months in jail (up to 1 year) and $2,000 in a fine (actually $3,000 if they were an employee of yours).

A felony conviction on sexual battery?  It's worth two to four years of prison, and a max fine of $10,000.

What'll happen over the next year?  I would go and suggest at least three-hundred cases involving the condom business.  In some cases, you might even have one single woman who has alerted the police on a dozen guys.

All of this will eventually lead to some digital contract that party 'A' and party 'B' sign and submit to some online service.....indicating they both agree to a 'remove-the-condom' event being approved.  As silly as it sounds....it's the bold new world we live in.

But this will also lead to a conversation stage where some women and guys will want a long two-hour discussion over sexual practices, intentions, past behavior, and general hygiene habits of their male partners.....which to most guys....will be too much talking and sharing of personal data.  Some guys will just draw the line and say.....'you know what, I don't need this California regulation on my back....so I'm leaving the state.'

As funny as it sounds.....a condom will help to trigger another exit stage from the state.

Explaining This Difference Between ISIS-K and the Taliban

Ever since the Afghan crisis started up (still continuing, just don't tell Joe that)....I've had this curious nature over the Taliban and their archenemy....the ISIS-K 'team'.

I thought, from a western prospective going back several years....that any team that was pro-Muhammad/Islam was probably friendly with another team that was pro-Muhammad/Islam.  Well....I was wrong.

So after a fair amount of reading....there is this epic saga that I need to lay out.

You see....group 'A' and group 'B' have differing views on the Muhammad Hadith business.  What's a Hadith?  In this period that Muhammad lived (over 1,200 years ago).....various people observed Muhammad, his words, and his actions.....then had Hadiths they wrote up (basically interpretation of what they felt he said or would have said).  Then some others had an opposing Hadith (a differing interpretation of they felt he said or did).

Down one path went the Taliban, and down the opposing path went ISIS-K.

The ISIS-K crowd?  They have this 'story' which concerns a end-of-the-world prophecy (yeah, kinda like those Christian folks who have the Revelations chapter to deal with).

This 'story' basically concerns a battle, where true Muslims (not pretender Muslims or fake Muslims) will fight the epic final battle against the evil non-Muslims.

There's a video existing....fine propaganda-like story, which tells this story over how things will be at Dabiq, Syria.....where things will come to a close.

Dabiq in reality?  It's a fairly green valley area in northern Syria...maybe 10 miles from the Turkish border.  Folks there mostly farm.  Maybe 3,000 residents in the whole district, and most would describe the area as a pretty quiet place.

How Dabiq ever got onto the legend business of some epic soon-to-be battle?  Well....it simply got onto a Hadith and no one really stood there to ask questions.

I will admit....around 500 years ago, some battle did occur there already, but this was a Turk-versus-Mamluk Sultanate group.  The Sultanate group?  It's an oddball group composing of a minimum of seven ethnic groups (Crimeans, Greeks, and Albanians among the group).  Certainly not crusader types unless you really stretch the meaning.

So you stand back and look at this landscape.  In some funny way....the Taliban guys are regarded as not full-up Muslim folks.  The ISIS-K group?  They see only themselves as full-up members.

All of this leading back to various Hadiths....are basically lectures of what people felt Muhammad meant by this and that?  More or less.

Which Came First? Domestication of the Human, or the Dog?

99.9-percent of scientists will say that the human was all domesticated and later came the introduction of 'Rufus' (the dog).

I have a different theory (although admitting I'm not a scientist).

I would suggest around 20,000 years ago....in some remote valley, Yorg (the cave-guy) walked over some hill, and here was a Border Collie who he affectionally named 'Marvin'.

Marvin (the Border Collie) felt generally superior, and over the next week came to notice several traits about Yorg that needed improving.

Namely?  Well....Yorg never walked in a straight line from point A to point B.  Marvin began to grasp this and 'bump' Yorg's leg....to keep him focused and walking in a straight line.

Then there was the intense stare of Marvin upon Yorg....which unsettled Yorg a bit....causing him to scrutinize his habits and behavior.

The herding business?  This also caused Yorg to change his daily actions.

If they didn't do the daily walks?  Well....Marvin would start to develop demanding tasks of Yorg, to keep him busy.

Hatred of lightning or thunder?  Marvin convinced Yorg to seek caves and shelter.

As the weeks went by, Yorg became more domesticated and moved from number 8 status within the tribal unit.....to number one.  Tribal women began to notice Yorg and his faithful companion Marvin.  The women would compliment Yorg on his hygiene, analysis, and cleverness.....never grasping that Marvin was the cause.

As generations would come and go.....each went to a higher level of domestication....all triggered by the original Border Collie....Marvin.

Anyway, that's my theory of human evolution.

Observations: 10 Oct 2021

 1.  Did the White House press spokesperson say that President Biden's polling is mostly bad because of unvaccinated people?

Yes.  You can laugh over the statement but it was 'dished-out' to the news groups.  This group of unvaccinated people.....are they 99-percent anti-Biden?  Zero proof of that statement.

2.  Is it possible to have this Biden slogan 'Build, Back, Better'....if you don't have the workers to do so?

It's almost like you need 500,000 Mexicans to cross the border immedately....to give you enough manpower to 'B.B.B'.

3.  Is there a Biden 'plan' for the border?

No.  This is the odd piece to this whole border crisis story.  It's like you delivered seven tons of construction material to some guy....who didn't really have an idea over building anything. So the stuff just lays there in the front yard....waiting.

Is President Biden's Entire Problem....That He Wants to Be the Anti-Trump?

About a month ago.....after hearing either Joe or his press secretary, or some VIP of the Administration talk about trying to fix what Trump broke....I just finally lost my patience with the argument.

Joe basically needs to be Joe....nothing else.  He shouldn't have ever started the campaign or his Presidency with the thought....he's supposed to be the anti-Trump.  It's like a 5,000 pound boat anchor, and he can't maneuver or float in any direction.

The border crisis.....the economy crisis....the Covid crisis....the Afghan crisis....the France-sub crisis, and so on?  It's all a staging event to be the anti-Trump.

Is he stuck on this theme?  Presently, I don't know.  Maybe his advisers all think it's the wise thing to do....just spend four years being the anti-Trump.  But in this case.....what exactly has he accomplished in 2021 so far?  Anything much?  Enough to write on two pages of bond paper?

Either let Joe 'free', and just stand there with this gimmick of the anti-Trump.  I can tell you the anti-Trump act....by the end of 2023.....will be a five-page piece of a marginal Presidency.

College Cost Spiral

So I'm going to point this story from over at Real Clear Investigations, which asks a pretty dramatic question over colleges and just what they can afford to do.

With all the woke stuff from the past decade.....no one really goes over court business....where a student's rights were violated.

They bring up Harvard (the University) and this 2017 court episode which is still brewing.  A racial admissions policy is in court, and has burned through 25-million dollars so far, without an end.

The chief insurance company covering cost?  Their policy is wiped out, and the university is now suing a second insurance company.....saying they need to cover continuing cost of the unfinished case.  The company (Zurich) say 'no'.....challenging this in court.

University of North Carolina?  Same story.

They go through various colleges with woke business and legal challenges, and it's eating up their insurance....driving the rates higher....year by year.

Impacting the cost of higher education?  Well, you can't help but feel that as each year passes....there's another thousand here and there....added to the tuition or various fees of the university system....to cover wokeness.

All of this leading to a fear of risk?  You can't help but feel that administrators are sitting there now and asking stupid questions.

If this led to a yearly tuition fee of $60k for what was $24k just a dozen years ago?  Who'd pay that much for what ought to be $30k max.

Real Remote and Rural

My brother brought up the topic of New Zealand and the subject of remoteness.  Back in 2018, I made an 18-day swing through NZ, and came to a number of conclusions about life in rural areas, and living remote.

Let me describe how it is in NZ.

Imagine the scene in 'Castaway' (Tom Hanks on the island)....where at the end, there's Tom at the four-way intersection and asking the lady about directions.  She says in a matter-of-a-fact way.....if you take the west road....you end up here.  If you take the east road, you end up there.  It's probably one of the most dramatic scenes of any movie made in the past thirty years.

So, here you are in NZ, at some four-way intersection in a highly rustic area.  Now draw a 70-mile circle.

If you take the road west, the only civilization is 15 miles away, right before you hit the ocean.  It consists of a gas station, a local pub, a church/cemetery, and a Co-Op/gardening shop.  A hundred people make up the entire population.  In the past twenty years, the biggest thing that has ever occurred....some tourist whipped into the gas station with his RV on fire.  Everyone in town came over to watch it burn to the ground, and later offered up an open drink situation for the poor tourist at the local bar.

If you take the road north, it winds down through valleys and curves for about 45 miles....taking you about an hour at the safe speed limit to reach civilization. This town consists of three-thousand people.  It's mostly known for the one border collie that has memorized one-thousand commands, and having three ladies all born in the same year with the name 'Ruby-such-and-such'.  Six bars, two gas stations, a school, and a hardware store make up the bulk of commerce.

If you take the road east?  You endear 22 miles of fairly dangerous driving, 16 bridges crossing creeks that often flood, and eventually reach some town of 1,000 residents.  They've got a gas station and a community center mostly known for Friday night dances.  They have the only public radio station in the region, but mostly run by four older ladies who discuss love-found/love-lost, and often depressing chatter over men's manners.

If you take the road south?  It's a clear straight shot of non-dangerous driving, for about 42 miles....with mostly abundant roadkill.  The town at the end of this trip?  Around 14,000 and the only real point of real civilization.  They have a clothing shop or two, plenty of bars, and a theater with two shows nightly.

So you gaze at the intersection, and look at the three neighbors you have within 2 miles.

Gus is the hobby-welder, hobby-carpenter, hobby-roofer, hobby-plumber, hobby-electrician, and seems to be the only neighbor who has ever left NZ for any length of time...spending four years in France.  His wife (Monique, a former French gal) is some far-out hippy type gal who grows 150 varieties of vegetable/fruit in her massive garden.

Martin is the next neighbor, who is mostly a cattle/sheep rancher, and has enough knowledge to be a licensed veterinarian (if he'd ever taken this serious).  He repairs tractors and cars on the side.  His wife, Ann, is a bit crazy and reads around seventy-five books a year....mostly Doctor Bob-and-Nurse Ingrid romance novels. She has a library in one corner of the house with over 3,000 books in the room.

Karl is the last neighbor, who averages at least one near-death accident per year, and seems to be addicted to dangerous situations.  His passion is the farm-ranch, with every single post on the fence line painted green.  He claims that he average 88 hours per week on his work-schedule.  His wife, Mona, is the only licensed nurse within 25 miles.  Mona mostly paints on her spare time....mostly rural settings where one person stands in the midst of a huge valley.

Growing up in Alabama....I had this one single image of remote and rural....but after leaving NZ....I came to realize on the remote/rural scale (1 to 10)....I barely hit '4'.  The NZ folks were a solid '10'.

Bringing the FBI Into a School Board Matter Trend

This past week, we had this interesting situation occur where the DoJ decided that they would involve the FBI into school board escalations, and possibly identify 'parents' as domestic terrorists.  After some thought, I came to a conclusion.

This makes obvious sense.....but why stop there?

Fistfight at a local high school Friday night football game?  Call the FBI and identify the attendees as domestic terrorists.

Confrontation at a local bar and grill between four drunks?  Call the FBI and identify the offending party as domestic terrorists.

Bad service and mouthing-off at you at the 'lube-shop' over what was supposed to be a discount service deal?  Call the FBI and identify the shop employees as domestic terrorists.

School bus fight, between a 'white-Mexican' kid and a transgender 'girl'?  Call the FBI and haul the 'white-Mexican' kid off to jail for being a domestic terrorist.

College kids in a Fort Lauderdale 1-star hotel drinking excessively and cursing the President as he drives by the hotel?  Call the FBI and haul the punks off to some jail for being a domestic terrorist.

Course, we'd have to enlarge the FBI by 200,000 employees and build another 200 federal prisons to contain the ever-growing domestic terror crowd.  The suggestion of the FBI being like the East German Stassi (secret police)?  Well....yeah, that might occur, but this is a bold new world we live in.

This White House 'Stage-Set'

Over this week, some hype has occurred with the 'sound stage' set up adjacent to the White House....for President Biden to deliver speeches, as though he was appearing in the White House.

Some journalists talk about it....most just seem to overlook it.

The question I'd have.....with the President's general schedule for an entire week 'unfilled' (empty).....do they have him over there and continually rehearsing his presentation?

At best, in a normal week, there's maybe three events on his typical schedule....meaning 30-plus hours are unoccupied.  So, does President Biden spend thirty hours a week rehearsing?

It'd sound silly and crazy, but the mere suggestion that this sound-stage now exists....begs curiosity.

Are there other 'actors' brought in....to pretend to be Macron, Johnson, Merkel or Putin?  Are there big-name directors in the mix?  Is Biden so 'far-out' that he actually thinks he's an actor in this Presidential 'play'?  Could Johnny Depp or Robert Downey Jr be giving him acting lessons?  Could Biden even be nominated for an Oscar?

Just a lot of things begging questions.

Q and A

 1.  What'll happen when the FBI gets fully into investigating parents at school board meetings?

Generally, I expect three things.  First, I expect a fair number of parents to take the message.....remove 'Johnny' from public school....and go 'private'.  In some districts, you could be talking about 10 to 20 percent of the kids disappearing in a relatively short time.

Second, some states are going to realize that county school boards are now useless, and probably start action to only have one state board instead.  Secret or anonymous members on this state board?  I'd say it's a 50-percent chance.

Third, all of this action will eventually lead to a Senate hearing where the question is asked....why isn't this simply handed over to the US Marshalls?  Nothing about this deserves FBI treatment.  I might even go to suggest that almost one-third of the FBI's purpose in life now....is more related to US Marshalls, than the FBI itself.

2.  Did Joy Behar of the 'VIEW' say that blacks shouldn't have Covid hesitancy because experimentation has already been done via the white community?

Yeah, she actually did say that.  Is there any truth that only whites were used in the testing phase?  Well....no one has uttered that comment, so I doubt that is true.  For all we know....it could have been 250 'white' Mexicans in the test phase.

3.  This idea of requiring the Covid vaccination to travel on any airline?

Biden administration still openly discussing the idea.  If implemented, you'd probably see a one-third drop in flights very quickly, and several airlines forced either in downsizing or laying off employees.  If you were looking for a way to slow the economy even more....this would do the trick.

4.  Rapid drops in effectiveness after four months of getting a vaccination?

Well....CNN talked to this subject and dumped a science review in the middle of the mess.  What they say is that after the second dose.....you get roughly four months of protection....then your monthly drop on effectiveness started up.  But the hint was that it'd be 'enough' to protect you from death/serious bout.  But lets be honest....99.9-percent of people survived Covid without any death potential, even before the vaccination ever came along.  So you have to ask this question....are we approaching some point where you have to vaccinate every four to six months....to feel 'safe'?

French Talk with Kerry

This is the video of French journalists talking to John Kerry over the Aussie sub deal.

19 minute interview.  At some point, they want Kerry to explain how he met with President Biden.  So Kerry says that Biden couldn't understand the whole issue.

Then Kerry says.....Biden didn't know anything about the deal.  For about 30 seconds, Kerry is basically saying that Biden was totally in the dark, and never told anything until the deal was 'done'.

At that point, Kerry realizes he has said something that will shake the French, and the rest of Europe....Biden sold nuke subs but knew nothing about what was going on.

After this?  It's kinda funny....the French leadership will stand and talk about the interview this weekend.  Future discussions?  Why talk to Biden?  He's obviously not in charge.

The remaining 3 years with Biden?  He's just a 'living statue'.....not a actual figure. You don't need to drag the guy into problems....he can't do much for resolutions.

If you were looking for a reason to downsize the importance of NATO....this is probably a good starting point.

Ten Things Biden Could Do To Improve His Popularity

 1.  Announce he's doing the Caitlyn Jenner-Trans-Operation.

2  Announce that for the past four years, he's been under the influence of hallucinatory drugs prescribed by a fake doctor in Delaware, and he's fairly shocked to learn he's President of the United States.

3.  Announce that he's also discovered he has artistic talents like Hunter, painting a good bit, and ready to sell each of his one-hundred paintings.

4.  Announce that he's going to fire Doctor Fauci.....next year.

5.  Announce he's going to bring Donald Trump onto the White House team to be a personal adviser to Biden himself.

6.  Announce he's bringing in an elephant as his 'new' pet for the White House.

7.  Announce that he's bringing in a Haitian Lwa (Haitian witch doctor female) to cast away evil spirits left in the White House by demon Trump.  She will be permanently staying in the residence because of the heavy demon spell left on the facility.

8.  Announce that he's been having a secret affair for 30 years with some 1980s TV show gal, although admitting that all they do is sip coffee and sniff each others hair.

9.  Announce that he's not woke enough.  So he's bringing in a team of woke enthusiasts to the White House, to make himself super-woke.

10.  Announce that he's too super-woke, and looking for a safe space....yet continue to serve as President.

Temperature Story

There was a science study done by some PhD guys (I'd recommend a read)....which has to do with guys who like chilly temperatures, and women who prefer tropical temperatures.

After a fair amount of survey, the PhD folks agreed....guys (even males in the animal world) prefer more chilly temperatures.  Something in our genetics?  Well...they didn't go that far.

I'm a 'October-guy'....meaning I prefer the normal 45-to-55 degree temperatures.  Anything over 85 degrees?  It's a problem.

But after reading the piece....I'm asking....now what?  Knowing this science stuff and facts....it doesn't really change much of anything.
