If you had stood up in 1922 (hundred years ago) and said that the nation was firmly attached to baby formula (not booby-milk).....and that some massive shortage had occurred....threatening the survivability of American kids, no one would believe you.
If you had stood up in 1922 and said that responsible adults could not stand up in a group setting and explain what a woman was or give at least a 2-line answer....no one would have believed you.
If you had stood up in 1922 and said a state like Pennsylvania could hold a primary, and a week later....still not know the true results....no one would have believed you.
Our problem is that as much as we have advanced in society.....we are evolving backwards. It's like that episode of Star Trek where Picard and crew meet up with dimwitted folks in space....who shouldn't be there, but they've kidnapped a crew member or two....to keep their vessel (society) functioning.
The sad thing here.....those of us over sixty, and still retaining intelligence....are having to drag the under-30 crowd to safety and reality.
