Rare Gem of a Movie: Idiocracy (2006)

Around five years ago, I watched a Science Fiction piece called 'Idiocracy'.  In the past month, I went back and watched it a second time.  I would strongly recommend it for viewing, but for odd reasons.

The basic story?  Joe has been recruited by the Army and some mad scientist to test a suspended animation chamber....with a hooker as the second participant.

The mad scientist gets arrested shortly after the experiment starts.

So Joe and Rita end up sleeping through to 2505.

What they wake up to....is 100-percent 'WOKE' behavior....everywhere.  Anything you could have imagined in 2006 to put into a script....is there and shows the general society of today....barely sixteen years later (instead of 2505).

Yes, it is cheaply done.  Yes, the script is stuff that a 12-year old kid would write.  But everyone is plain woke, and not able to function in a normal society....except Joe and Rita.

If you can find the video and give yourself about 90 minutes....it's an excellent bit of entertainment.

IDIOCRACY.
A superb documentary.
Although, as our Esteemed Host mentions, it appears to be low-budget and amateur [from the French 'to love'], the message is clear:
* despite all evidence to the contrary, the human species has a remarkable capacity to adapt.
.
Fact is, Charles Darwin noted these skills with his 'Survival Of The Quickest To Adapt' theory of evolution/adaptation.
