Chatter on This $10,000 Credit

Yesterday, apparently some journalist had a chance to ask VP Harris how the college debt cancellation of $10k...would be financed.  She had no answer.  I won't say she was 'lost' but obviously....no one much in the White House has openly discussed the matter with her.

Eventually, someone will ask the question....from the White House staff around President Biden/VP Harris.....who has such college loan effect on themselves, and did they exercise undue influence on the President.  At that point, the game will shift.

But there are three key questions that will be coming out in the weeks to come:

1.  If President Biden gave a $10,000 credit this year.....could he give another 2nd $10,000 credit next year?

2.  If President Biden can give this type of credit, why couldn't he do the same thing for farmers on farm loans or equipment loans associated with the farms?

3.  Finally, can President Biden even give a simple three-minute talk on this subject that makes logical sense?

The 'Happy' Discussion

There's a great read over at RealClearScience this AM, and I recommend it.  Writer?  Ross Pomeroy, and the topic is: "Why Are Conservatives Happier Than Liberals".

Various studies have been done, and Pomeroy talks about this situation....where a liberal guy/gal....seems to be more unhappy, than a conservative guy/gal....on average.

It's not something that I've really spent much time worrying about.  Yeah, I probably noticed this more than 20 years ago, but it's not worth my effort to yank on this topic and get all disturbed by the unequal nature of it.

My view of the discussion goes to three key topics:

1.  Generally, on the unhappy scale....a liberal person is just a bit more unhappy....feeling the world is against them, or they weren't treated right, or their advancement in life was hindered.

Then they want to talk about this....sitting at a bar or pub....sipping a whine, beer or cocktail.  They'd also use a bit of cannabis or narcotic to cover their disappointment.

2.  The liberal person generally has the attitude that things can be resolved, reshuffled, or corrected.  This usually means selling their disappointment to a group....on a small or grand stage.

Other liberals will stand there.....maybe on a 50-50 trend at that point, but will buy into the 'gimmick' (meaning more people thinking this way than when the first guy stood up).

3.  Finally, there is this behavioral thing....which liberals seem to be a magnet for.  This include use of drugs and alcohol, spending too much time in isolation or limited groups, not getting enough quality sleep, chronic and substantial lack of activities, and finally having a zigzag path on outcomes.

I'm not saying conservatives are gifted or special, or on a happiness path.  It's just that they seem to avoid living in the past and always looking for a better future.  They expect that improved future....more than the liberal guy/gal.

I'll end this commentary with a belief....if you are looking for 'something'....you will probably find it.  If you just cruising along and not really hyped up one way or another....whatever comes will be just another adventure.  Adventures make for a more interesting life.

The Lesser Pain of Student Loan Debt?

Lets say that you finished college in 2018....with $65,000 in debt.  I looked up the monthly payment plan of an average guy (not an engineer or rocket scientist)....which the ball-park figure is $220 a month on this loan. So yearly, you might be paying back $2,640.

Even if 'Uncle' President Biden gave you $10,000 to cover the $55k remaining on your debt....you still owe $45k, and can figure eighteen more years of a monthly payment (unless Aunt Cassie or Dad bailed out some of this).

So this is what is bothering me.  Once you admit that President Biden has this 'power' of just wavering off $10,000.....why couldn't the next idiot in 2026 stand up and state his/her power to waiver the remaining money (1-trillion dollars)?

It's a scary thing to think about.  It's not so much what Biden might do to wreck the economy, but the next step in this overall gimmick.

For you folks who got some portion of your $100,000 trimmed off?  My advice....have a bottle of booze and celebrate....knowing that he cut four years of your twenty years of pain.  Then go back to work tomorrow....hoping for another miracle to occur.

Semi-Whatever

This week....President Biden made several interesting quotes:

“The MAGA Republicans don’t just threaten our personal rights and economic security,”

“MAGA Republicans are a threat to our very democracy. They refuse to accept the will of the people. They embrace....(repeating the phrase)....embrace....political violence. They don’t believe in democracy.”

“America is at a genuine inflection point.”

“It occurs every six or seven generations in world history.”

“What we’re seeing now is either the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy.   It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the....(rambling) I’m going to say something (more rambling).....it’s like semi-fascism.”

What is semi-fascism?  Well.....it's semi-Nazism, semi-dictatorship, semi-right-wing dictatorship, semi-totalitarianism, semi-absolutism, semi-authoritarianism, semi-autocracy, semi-despotism, semi-jingoism, semi-one-party system, and semi-xenophobia.

If that doesn't make sense?  Yeah....that's much what I said upon examination.

If you asked President Biden to go into detail, and explain to a 8th-grade kid?  I don't think he could do it.

I'm not saying he's pumping out BS, but it's clear....he's getting a script from some White House team who aren't really into the landscape, and prone to make up BS.

So on the morning of the 9th of November....when the mid-term results start to show...what's his comment with the House shifting over to the Republicans?  The fascists are winning?

In the past hundred years.....this is probably....at present....the weirdest time to be alive and witnessing event.

Civil 'Fracas' Version 2.0

If you notice, I don't use 'Civil War'....believing that fracas is probably a more appropriate word.  So this is my scenario of where we go in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

The mid-terms will bring the Republicans into the House (majority of 10).  As January of 2023 arrives....a minimum of three different hearings will take place and center around President Biden, Hunter Biden, the misuse of the FBI, the $10,000 'gift' to college loan people, etc.

By mid-2023, we will reach a point where three-quarters of the public believes there's something 'wrong' with President Biden.  Maybe two or three attempts will be made to edge him out, but I think through 2023 and 2024, he'll likely remain (just being seen less and less as time goes by).

Several staged (fake) protests will occur by early 2024, with Antifa/BLM at the front of the 'events'.

The election run-up in 2024 will be DeSantis or Trump versus Newsom.  Most everyone will regard Twitter as dysfunctional by November 2024.

Election chaos will reign as various states can't complete their count, and disruptions occur on a massive scale.  In at least a dozen states....guns are pulled out upon law enforcement, and shootings (into the hundreds wounded/dead) will be reported by the news establishment.

President Biden, in this period from the election to Inauguration Day....orders a mass collection of weapons and activates all of the National Guard throughout the US.  His decisions create even more turmoil, and general refusal to cooperate.  In several states, the National Guard personnel refuse orders to confiscate weapons or to detain people.

At least eight states are in open rebellion by the Inauguration.....suggesting they will go their own way or refuse 'orders' given by the federal government.  At least ten US Senators have hidden themselves and refuse to participate in Senate affairs.  The Supreme Court has vacated DC, and is in session at a US military facility in the midwest.

At least 500 National Guardsmen have been detained by the federal officials, because of their refusal to obey orders.  In one case....a thousand Guardsmen show up at the federal facility to release their members.

By mid-summer of 2025, the dead-count at this point is nearing 20,000 and the US economy is shutting down.  Half of the subway systems in NY City have been shutdown, with almost one-million residents having packed up and left because of safety issues in the city.  At least ten people per day are killed on NY City streets.

Food riots are now common by late summer 2025, with shortages noted in most states.  The airline industry has mostly shutdown, with fewer than thirty international flights a day arriving.  Stocks have lost 50-percent of their value at this point.  There is massive worry in DC that the Social Security fund will reach failure by the end of 2026, unless measures are immediately corrected.

Toward November of 2025, it will be public knowledge that President Biden was suffering from various problems throughout the four years, and his wife (with help) hid the issues from the public.  The Senate promises to create new laws to prevent this sort of stuff from ever happening again.

By December of 2025, the FBI is officially dissolved into four sub-units.  None of the remaining units will be allowed to exist in DC.  More than 100 agents are under investigation.

2025 will conclude with more than 200,000 dead.  Most will be victims of random street shootings.  More than 4-million Californians will have left the state since January.  The cities of LA and SF will be unable to handle payroll for the police and fire protection....with massive lay-offs projected.

A legislative piece will be passed by the end of 2025 to have Facebook and Twitter turned off for a period of six months.  It'll be challenged to the Supreme Court, but they will readily agree it's legal.

2026 will be more of the same....with the federal government rationing food, and importing a massive amount in from Mexico.

By mid-summer 2026, California, Oregon and Washington will be playing with legislation to exit the union. To the shock and surprise of locals.....at least one-third of California, with eastern Washington/Oregon suggesting they will exit their states, and remain part of the Union.  Federal forces arrive at some point to present a situation that you can't exit the Union.

My Review of 'Raised By Wolves'

I sat and started watching a science fiction series this week called 'Raised By Wolves'.   So I would describe it this way:

1.  Mad scientist decides Earth has reached a level of destruction, and has launched a craft with two androids (programmed by him) and carry human 'eggs' to reproduce on 'Kepler-22b' (don't ask me where it is).

2.  My description of Kepler-22b?  It's a crap-hole that resembles Gila Bend, Arizona.

3.  The two androids ('Mother' and 'Father') probably aren't programmed that well for this type of upbringing of kids.

4.  As Earth is being destroyed, a cult-group has also launched off and landed on on Kepler-22b.  On my cult-meter....1-to-10, I'd put these dimwits at a '8'.

5.  Somehow, with limited text and story implications....they managed to make 18 of the episodes before ending production.  On content and potential (1-to-10)....I'd give it a '3'.  I admit, I've only gotten to episode 10 at this point, but it's fairly wasted time and effort.

6.  'Father's' humor?  He seems programmed with 1950s jokes.

On weird science fiction productions....it's about as weird as you can get.

Writing Off a Debt

I worked with a contractor around twenty years ago who got into a fairly bad financial situation with his wife (she signed papers for this debt).  At some point, staying married and attached to this loan....made no sense.  So he hired a lawyer, divorced her, and saddled the debt (over $150,000) on her.  As he described it....she was an absolute '10' on nine out of ten qualities.  But she was crappy with money, and was a magnet for bankruptcy...sooner or later.

So I gaze of President Biden and this $300-billion to $600-billion student loan debt, and nothing makes sense.

He has zero power to write off debt.

In this case?  He's going to say the $300-billion simply doesn't exist, and it'll never come back.  It's like telling your kids that they had a house up until Thursday, and then lost it.....so they will live with Aunt Lilly for the rest of their life.

Sloppy enough to get impeached?  Well....if this were normal political figures....yeah.  The minute that the executive order is produced.....you might as well count it as evidence.

It's not that I don't feel sorry for the idiots who borrowed $100,000 for college, and got some marginal education that might only hold $35,000 in value.  You know....it's like you were at the car lot, and thought you were buying a Cadillac, and it's some cheapo Chinese car.

All of this dwelling through the spring/summer of 2023, as it's pushed via the court system to the Supreme Court?  Yeah.  That's sad part of this story.

How I See Biden Order To Forgive $10,000 of Student Loan Debt

Well....it will be challenged in court and around November of 2023....it'll reach the Supreme Court.

They will review the order, and counter that he doesn't have the power, then dump the $10k forgiveness.

What happens then (probably in the Jan/Feb period of 2024?

Massive riots and public anger that the Court took away a 'power' of the Presidency.

I'll go and forecast over twenty different things to occur in 2024, which will all lead to riots, disruptions and threats made against members of the House, Senate and Court.

If you were owing a massive debt on your student loan.....don't go expecting this to work in your favor.

Yeah, About Essay Writing

I noticed this story in the AM today....that the University of California/Berkeley now requires you (if applying for a job) to write an essay.

In the 1990s, I worked with a guy who'd applied for a job, and in the last group of final applicants....they sprung a essay requirement on him.  It had to be forty lines and demonstrate his ability to take a subject, writing with a pen....telling a basic story.

What they wanted to know....could you actually write and do so with limited errors or misspellings.  The subject could be on anything....they didn't care.  They just wanted to know if you were capable of independent thought and the capability to tell a story successfully.

I asked him if it worked out for his essay, and he just grinned.  He told some story of handling a gathering of forty-odd wasps, and he was stung so intently.....that mama had to carry him to the county hospital.  Apparently, either the writing style or the story itself....failed him for the job.

Well, in this case with Berkley....if you are apply for the Office for Faculty, Equity, and Welfare (OFEW)....it's not a unlimited topic situation.  They want you to write a statement which indicates or acknowledges they did something in the past to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, or belonging.

I paused over this.

I think for 90-percent of people here in 2022....it'd be hard for them to write any type of essay.  You could make the topic of aliens, unicorns, cowboys, fetishes, Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, the effect of homelessness, or even bad dates....it'd be hard for folks to sit there and tell some story over forty lines.

I'd even suggest that only one-third of college graduates today....are capable of independent thought, and writing that into 'something'.

In this case?  What you did for diversity or belonging?  Maybe something along the lines of 'I picked up some hitch-hiker name Darwin.  We connected on a UFO situation, and talked for six hours between Tulsa and St Louis'.  Would that be enough to make the Berkley folks happy?

Will you be graded on writing or will this be a poorly/crappy essay about some BS inclusion matter on how you equalized something at your last job?

Just looking at this....working at some college campus is going to be challenging, but for the wrong reasons.

My Five Ways To Pay For The $300-Billion In Student Debt

I'm offering this as advice to the Biden Administration.

First, a sales tax on university student books of $9.99 for each book.

Second, a sales tax on each semester hour (typically 120 required for a degree) of $200.

Third, a $1,000 federal fee paid up front on day one of college....so it doesn't matter if you finish or not.

Fourth,  a $5 federal tax on each on admittance to a NCAA game of any type.

Fifth, a 8-cent sales tax on each dollar spent for university t-shirts, hats, or sweat-shirts.

Yeah, what I'm suggesting is doubling the cost of attending a typical college, and it ought to be that way.

Math Story

There's a great commentary over at 'Hot Air' with the title of "Working paper on school tracking finds it helps high-achievers without harming anyone."  Written by John Sexton, and I'd highly recommend a read.

So the focus?  Well....there's idea in California....that in math classes, you ought to unbundle kids who are on some track for the high-end classes and 'force' them to rebundle into groups of lesser interested kids on math education.

Yeah.....taking the kids who already grasp a subject and hope that mixing them....delaying by a year or two....will somehow help the lesser kids advance.  Proof that this works?  Basically, it's marginal or limited.

The general problem here....if you took a hundred kids, I think around ten of them would have some great fascination with math and calculating solutions.  After that group....probably twenty-five kids would grasp the stuff but have a lesser interest.  At the bottom of this group.....there's probably forty kids who have zero interest in some square root drama, or wondering why only 75 apples will fit into the box at your local grocery.

Lets also be honest and admit if you'd just let kids 'test-out'....probably ten-percent of kids would be finished with high school by the end of the tenth grade, and would be capable of handling community college or university work.

Parents agreeing to the California logic?  No, that's another part of the story.  They don't want 'Junior' lingering in a group with marginal interest in the class.

In simple terms, the state system is resolving the future by making it appear that home-schooling or private schools....are the better way to go.

A Unity Summit?

It came out yesterday that at some point in September....President Biden is to hold a unity summit at the White House.

A unity summit?  Yes.

Date?  15 September (at least it's on the official calendar).

The general topic?  They want to discuss 'corrosive effects' of violence with the American public safety and democracy.

Who is invited?  Well....what they say is that folks from various civil rights groups, religious folks, some business executives, some law enforcement folks, anti-gun folks, ex-members of violent hate groups (meaning they changed), some victims (it's left to you to figure out how they are victims), and then some cultural figures (probably Hollywood stars, pop-singers (certainly not Brittney Spears), and Instagram influencers).

Yeah, it does sound like some circus group, and it can't possibly be more than 100 to 150 folks total.

How this will work?  I'm assuming that President Biden gives some 8-minute talk at the beginning.....the groups break up into four or five focus topics, and Joe visits each one for ten minutes.....then disappears.

All of this woven into the evening news for NPR, CNN, MSNBC.....with tons of prepared material?  Well....yeah, that's probably been a project underway for several months.

So you ask yourself....how does public confidence stand now with safety and the  political process?

I'll make these three comments:

1.  In recent memory (the nation since 1970), I've never seen such a low confidence level in terms of public safety.  Trying to convince me to attend the Mardi Gras, or hang out in central Atlanta, or ride the NY City subway system?  No.....I just won't do it.  I think more than 70-percent of the nation would agree....they think about their safety more than once a week now.

2.  At the current pace of thing.....democracy probably is in a spiral, and has been for more than two decades.  If you asked most people, I think the majority believe they have the ability to influence their county and state political apparatus....more....than the federal or national apparatus.

3.  Finally, is there any real value of President Biden having a summit?  This is a funny question.  Maybe he thinks he has the charm or charisma of Barak Obama, but that would require something that we've never seen out of Joe Biden.  So I think of the White House crew working this as a PR thing....more than something of value.

Will Elon Musk be there? I doubt it.  Will Joe Rogan be there?  I doubt it.  Will Peter Thiel be there?  I doubt it.

Shouldn't we be talking about out-of-control spending, the border problem, and reckless college loan crap?  Well....yeah, but the whole mid-term election now....is really based on this unity conference deal, and some presentation that only through a 'vote-for-democrats' angle....can we restore democracy, and protect your butt on the way to work each day.

Frankly, I don't see much value in this conference....but at least everyone gets free coffee and donuts for the episode, and this probably ends after three hours of hopeless chatter.

Binge Viewing

I binge-watched Game of Thrones, and finished the last episode a day or two ago.

I know...I'm probably seven years behind most of you.

So to my points and criticisms:

1.  On writing and script, it's one of the five best series ever written.  There's probably 200 great exchanges between characters that are noteworthy to remember.

2.  On acting, you can suggest twenty-odd people as giving the performance of their lives.

3.  The final two episodes are crap, and I'm just shaking my head over the final outcome.  Between the dragon flying off, Jon Snow sent into exile, Arya sailing off, and the Hound dying in the end....it just failed to resolve the story

4.  Rory McCann delivering his performance as the 'Hound'?  Oscar-material, I thought.

5.  I think the whole series would be great for use in college classes to discuss ethics, leadership roles, and evolution of governments.

Is The 2024 Election More About The Conditions of California and Florida, Than Anything Else?

Well.....if this is about DeSantis and Newsom, then yes.

The ad campaign?  Well...it'll be ex-California people talking about why they left the state for Florida, and junkie dudes talking about why they came to California.

It's hard to imagine some national election being about the failures of one state versus the accomplishments of another.

Folks in the other 48 states?  They will be sitting there and wondering how screwed up Florida might be....or how unlivable California might be.

That Other Tribe....The Denisovans

In the ancient times, out in the middle of Russia....there was this 'hybrid' of man called the Denisovans.  To be honest, other than one single bone so far.....they haven't really found much to lay out this story.

So from the bone business, they've come to this interesting DNA situation.  These were the people who were all built up to be natural autism 'carriers'.  Yeah, they were the star-counters, and consumed with passion over anything they thought about.

I saw a podcast this week, and the topic came up over their autism angle.

So you imagine this valley in the heart of Russia....where fifty-odd folks lived 40,000 years ago, and every single one of them are some stone-age 'Sheldon Cooper' type individual.  They probably had 15,000 words in their vocabulary in a short amount of time.  They probably charted more than 3,000 stars.  They probably had more than 1,000 food items to be prepared over a open fire.

Freaks of nature?  Well...it just makes you wonder.  And what happened to them?  That's another thing you have to wonder about.

Footnote: Austism folks are three times more likely to have paranoid schizophrenia.  So this tribal unit might not have had a long span of time.

My Humble Thoughts on Trump and DeSantis

There are three key problems with Trump, and for these reasons....I think the path ought to be cleared up, and just let DeSantis go and do the things that Trump couldn't do.

The three issues:

1.  Trump....for each three folks he hired....brought in one idiot or dimwit.  Some of this, you can blame on Trump himself....some on the RNC who had some stupid say, and some on insiders to the Trump 'camp'.

I'm not saying DeSantis is that much better....but I'd like to see kind of lesson learned, and DeSantis using a better process to hinder poor picks, or to prevent idiots from coming onboard.

2.  Trump got loose on Twitter.  Out of every five things he spoke to....three were absolutely what needed to be said....one thing was just there to irate news media, and one thing was purely his dry sense of humor.

If you asked me how much that DeSantis uses Twitter.....I doubt if he makes more than two statements a week.

3.  Finally, DeSantis has a bulldog....something that Trump never had.

That bulldog?  Christina Pushaw.

As fierce as Trump might have been on politicians and the news media....she's actually twice as tough.  Trump never had anyone like that.....he had to do both the executive job and the talking job himself.

Frankly, if Pushaw were to last around for the whole four year period....it would be a terrible pain for the news journalists to 'outplay' her.

It's not that I seem disenchanted with Trump or all the investigative matters.....it's just that he was his own worst enemy at times.  Suggesting to buy Greenland?  A good joke, but taken literally by tens of millions of folks.

As for VP?  Well....I have some thoughts on that, and I'd kinda like to see a non-politician.

Travel Story

I sat and read through a piece from the Department of Transportation, where Pete Buttigieg did a big hype.

Buttigieg is concerned about the numbers for first half of 2022....where a quarter of all flights were delayed in some fashion, and 3-percent were just plain cancelled.

Some government guy trying to fix or resolve what is a private industry issue?  Yeah, and generally....this tends to make a bigger mess out of things.

If you go back over thirty years....you can find various periods and airlines....that were 'hot-wired' to marginally function.  Things would generally reach a level where customers just refused to buy their tickets....even if they were discounted heavily.

One odd element of the current mess, a fair number of pilots in this Covid period....got tired of waiting, and found other jobs or airlines to work for.  So recruiting new pilots is a difficult thing.

My worst experience with cancellations?  I was sent from Germany to a Air Force school in west Texas for a four-week class.  Things ran fine from Frankfurt to Dallas....then I had to progress from Dallas to a town on the far end of Texas where the base was located.

The 1:30 PM flight was cancelled (it was 105 F and it was too hot for this particular plane to take off).  That moved me to a 3:00 PM flight.....but same story (it was cancelled).  That moved me to a 5:00 PM flight....it was cancelled.

Eventually, around 7:00 PM....they had brought some larger frame aircraft out and were flying around 120 of us via that plane.....to resolve all of delay issues.

I wasn't that hyped-up or negative about the experience....it is what it is.

I admit....the whole system developed and set into motion around the US....hinges on you making two or three 'legs' to your trip, and a simple six-hour plan could easily fall apart.....putting you into chaos to find a hotel room in Memphis because the second 'leg' simply can't occur today.

But you really don't want the US government to be in the middle of this.....trying to suggest they can fix it.  The only outcome in this mess....would make a ticket twice as expensive.

Ten Odd Things About Lee Harvey Oswald

 1.  He never graduated from high school.  Highest level completed....ninth grade.

2.  He could not spell or write in a coherent fashion.

3.  His IQ level suggested around age 16 was estimated to be 118.

4.  Just about everyone who knew him in high school....said he was temperamental and it took very little to set him off.

5.  The apartment Oswald was given in Minsk (for 13 months of living there) was a 1 room situation, with a bathroom in the hallway.  He never paid any rent.

6.  The 13 months of employment while in Minsk?  He was a lathe-operator for a TV-manufacture operation.  Remember, these were the old fashion TVs with a lot of wood in the system.

7.  Oswald's job in Dallas?  Basically to take book orders....find the books....putting them in a box to be shipped out.

8.  Upon completing bootcamp, Oswald only fired twice for the range.  First time.....middle of the pack.  Second time....marginally passed.

9.  Oswald finished the Marines with a hardship situation, but had a honorable discharge.

10.  The ship that Oswald sailed to Europe, to exit the US, was a freighter.

Bible Review Story

The Keller Independent School District in Texas has gone to remove 41 books from the school library....while they do some type of review on content guidelines (handed down by the board).

So, here's the thing....among the 41 books....the Bible did make the list.

The chief question?  Appropriate reading material for juveniles?

I sat and contemplated this.

First, I admit....there's a ton of violent episodes that fall into play with the Bible, and for fragile people....you probably should avoid it.

Second, it's mostly a male-dominated situation.  Out of 1,700-odd names in the Bible....only 170 are female.  That might bother some fragile folks.

Third, no matter how you detail Revelations....it just seems to be some guy writing it who might have sipped a bit too much wine, or smoked a fair amount of Cannabis.

Fourth, this Genesis chapter leaves about 700 unanswered questions laying there, and for some fragile folks....it's way too much to grasp.

Fifth, this guy Moses....seems to be awful blunt on management technique.

Sixth, on hardships....the whole book is pretty demanding that you stand....take on purpose in life and not lay back to play 'victim-status'.  For fragile folks....you'd have to abandon your feelings.

Seventh, this mercy and compassion stuff....dumped almost on every single page....is an awful lot to handle as a fragile person.

What'll happen in this review?  I suspect a number of folks will say that the Bible should only be read in youth groups where there is supervision, and some moderator there to handle fragile folks who might fall apart.  Also, there probably ought to be some safe 'zone' created for fragile folks to escape to.....if readings were too much for them to handle.

My Voyage PTSD Story

Before Covid came along, my wife felt it would be wonderful to do a cruise (we'd never done that type of trip before).

My wife and I often differ on traveling arrangements.  She is more of a frugal-basic-travel, and I'm one to view trips as a special operation where things should work (mechanically).  In simple terms....being frugal for me....is not an option.

So she arranged this voyage.  There was a travel special she saw....some 30-year old liner which would pick you up in the Den Haag area of the Netherlands, sail to the Fjords of Norway, sail back and spend a day 30 minutes by train to London, then return to Amsterdam.

I gazed at this and kept quiet.....there were at least ten violations of common sense.  Mixing a few Germans  on a vessel with mostly Brits....was just one of those problem areas.

The all-you-can-drink package was not that clear, and we were unable to get the 'box' to click....so I wasted two hours over the phone for a week....trying to get the travel people to add this.

The trip started from Frankfurt's Airport....which had around an hour delay (weather).  We arrived in the Amsterdam Airport to discover it was one of the most complicated airports in Europe.

The hired driver to pick us up?  That took about an hour to find the guy.  I'll just say that he was not a Dutch guy, or a European.

Upon the arrival at the dock?  The five-minute check-in took around 30 minutes instead.

The cabin?  It was outdated and cramped.  In the closet sat two life-preservers which had to be a minimum of 15 years old.

The all-you-could-drink package?  It was some 3rd-world booze....no more than 12-percent alcohol....so you could order gin sours all day long....forty of them, and never get more than marginally drunk.  I think on the 3rd day, from 9 AM to 11 PM....I hit that 40 gin sour point.

The food?  There were two dining areas....one that served the luxury meal, and one that was for average folks.  You had to pay extra on your reservation (three months prior) to get on the luxury list.  Upon discovery of this....I had to slip 40 Euro to some Philippine guy to move us to the right list. I'm not saying food was that much better, but it went from 2.1 stars to 2.5 stars.

The briefing on the evening of the first day about evacuation business....manning of the life-boats, etc?  Well....we had to show up with two antique life vests, and sit for 15 minutes to get the lecture.  "Marvin", our Philippine guy who did cabin clean-up....was supposed to lead our rescue raft.  My level of trust was marginal that this would all work.

As the vessel parted from the dock around 8 PM....there was this 'bump'.  The vessel had a five-second shake.  I suggested to my wife that something wasn't right.  It felt like the propeller broke.

For about an hour, we made way on some canal, and eventually docked where 'Scuba-diver-Joe' came out and assessed the propeller.  It'd hit something....made a tree....maybe a golf cart....maybe a WW II submarine.  'Scuba-diver-Joe' eventually said things were fine, and off we sailed.  Time wasted while 'Joe' drove over and examined things?  Maybe three hours....or four gin sours (depending on how you want to count time).

Day two would be the time to assess breakfast.  On a scale of one to ten....it was a three.  The bacon must have come out of a WW II rations kit.  The eggs had a funny sodium-like taste.  The coffee was stuff that we'd had in the Air Force chow hall.

I did my best to sip through gin sours, but never got past twenty on this day.  That evening, we went to a Brit comedian show.....where the guy told jokes mostly from the 1980s.  To be honest, we wasted a lot of time....doing mostly nothing.

That night....around midnight, as I was sleeping....'Captain Frank' came on the intercom in the room.  My heart got to beating and I was in some Desert Storm PTSD moment....thinking we'd hit the iceberg and needed to trust on 'Marvin' and that stupid rescue boat.

No....it was actually worse than that.  The blade was screwed up, and would never make it to Norway.  'Captain Frank' was turning the vessel around....in simple terms, the trip was now cancelled.

It was a brief message.  Then my wife wanted to talk about this...for at least 90 minutes.  There's not much to exchange on this type of discussion, but she rambled on about this and that.  I suggested at some point maybe the boat is leaking....which led to various questions about how you'd know it was leaking.  That probably didn't help settle matters.

Breakfast the next day was a pretty interesting situation.  Numerous Brits I came into contact with that morning....admitted that the midnight thing had caused heart ailments and several folks had to see the ship doctor.

At least 500 people wanted a detailed report at this point....what we were going to get, and how would we return home.  No one knew much of anything.

The vessel was moving back to Amsterdam at three-quarter speed.

I sipped through forty-odd gin sours that day, and eating around a dozen ice cream sticks....avoiding the garbage lunch menu.

Day four, we were at the dock, but they were openly discussing the problems.  No one would say anything about the going home arrangement or the mess.  We lounged all day aboard the vessel....with me sipping twenty-odd gin sours.

The next day (day five), we were given a piece of paper to explain a free trip in the future.  A bus would come by around 8:30 and take us to the train station in Amsterdam.  The arrangements?  Nothing.  They were basically dumping us at the train station and letting us figure out the way back.

I knew some things of the station and led the wife to the appropriate counter....getting first-class rail tickets, and an arrangement for a early afternoon return to central Germany.  From this point, I was in chaos planning and being frugal wasn't on my agenda.

We then handed the bags to a storage area, and walked around Amsterdam for three hours.  Breakfast?  Well....McDonalds.

The refund?  Well....it was a piece of paper to say a free trip would come in the next six months.  The train fare?  They agreed to pay, with no issue.

Six months would pass and I discovered one day....the liner was bankrupt and folded up.  The free trip? Gone.

The wife bringing up another voyage?  Yeah, I kinda hinted in strong words....one was enough.  It's funny....about once a year, I will awaken at 1 AM.....from some dream where Captain Frank is announcing the evacuation is underway, and we boarded some stupid raft.  I refer to it as the voyage PTSD thing.  I mostly go back to sleep dreaming of sipping through a gin sour.

The highlight of the whole trip?  This was a voyage with mostly retirees (mostly British retirees).  Some guy had brought along his 20-year old mistress, while the ex-wife of his was with her group from the village.  At some point, with enough alcohol in both women (one 20 years old....a bit of a Cinderella-bitchy gal and other 65 years old....who seemed to have threatened a few people in life verbally)....they were getting close to a 'cat-fight', and insulting each other left and right.  I watched from thirty feet away and must admit....it was the highlight of the whole trip.  Neither did much, but insult each other ('you whore this, you whore that').  I don't think the husband/ex-husband grasped much of anything....he was mostly passed out.

I assessed that he was a lucky guy....to have that many women fighting over him.

(Note: it is my belief that shot glass for the gin added....had the bottom half of the glass filled, so you never got more than half-a-shot of booze in drink.  If it'd been a true gin sour, with the waves threshing around....I probably would have thrown up a dozen times.

Recruitment Issue

Yesterday, I spent some time reading over an article at Epoch Times....discussing the approaching crisis with the Pentagon....recruiting volunteers for the US military is reaching a massive problem.

To simplify this....the recruitment folks are doing their best to sell the current military, and noting that kids around the time to graduate high school....have virtually no interest.  Why?

This goes to three problems. First, the woke and pronoun stuff isn't selling well.  Second, there is apparently a lot of push for kids to go off to trade schools, community colleges or universities.  Third, the patriotism angle business is at all-time low.

Frankly, if I were 18 today...the last thing on Earth that I'd go and consider....is four years in the military.  You'd have to watch every comment...every criticism...that you made in front of woke/transgender folks.  It's just not worth the hassle.

So this brings me to the beef of this talk....I suspect that a major crisis will exist by the summer of 2024 with the Pentagon.  You could be talking about missing over half the recruitment numbers, and some units unable to filed an operational unit for deployment.

How can you un-do the woke/pronoun thing? I don't think it's possible.  So I'm suggesting by 2030 (with the trend continuing)....the US military will be half the size of today (1.4-million today), meaning they will be around 700,000.  There will be no reason to maintain the number of bases/stations around the globe.

I also think daily efforts will center around disgruntled people threatening to sue in some public court over insults, and leadership chaos being a normal thing.

I looked at the US Army bonus program.  Basically, it's a package that centers around 3, 4, 5 or 6 years, and a max of $50,000 depending on what profession you enter as.  My gut feeling is that it will be revamped in 2023 to $75,000.....with another revamp by 2025 to $100,000.  For some folks, the money offering won't matter.

In some way, it's funny how this problem developed, and how it cannot be resolved.

Q-and-A

 1.  Worst question to ask President Biden?

When were you briefed that there was missing nuclear material from the White House?  He'll pause there and realize that if he says only AFTER the warrant was served on Trump...it's a big problem.  If he says from March of 2021.....that's a big problem.

2.  If the bulk of the documents taken by the FBI on Trump's compound....were attorney-client privilege documents....are they of any value?

No.  It renders the DoJ case in using any of the info for any case....as useless.  Course, I think they know that already.

3.  Did Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton lose nuke codes?

Well....yeah, but lets not bring up that subject.

Three Things

 1.  You hear the term tyranny these days.  I think if you had ten people to sit down and ask them to define the word....nine of them would draw a blank.  But they seem to have read the script a good bit.

2.  If you told people that the Revolutionary War was mostly an insurrection....they'd be utterly shocked.

3.  With that one single bombing effort on the Crimea last week by the Ukrainians.....traffic is still more than 90 hours later....on the outflow to leave out of the one-and-only bridge from the island heading east.  Some say the traffic jam is more 20 miles long to leave.  All pro-Russian folks in fear.

How I Think The Trump 'Game' Will Play Out

Charges will occur over handling classified.  Court appearances for this won't occur until probably first quarter of 2023.

One charge will be used and eventually stick with some type of conviction....with no jail-time.  Term of felony conviction will be used.

So by the end of 2023, as Trump would start to prepare for the primary period of 2024....at least eight states will have legislation that a convicted felony guy can't run (figure both California and NY state into the group of eight).

A group of at least twenty states will then come to say that if you decline Trump on the ballot, then there is no election for President possible, and offer the idea of no Presidential ballot period (meaning not Trump or the Democratic contender).

From the remaining twenty-odd states, this becomes a crisis period as they openly discuss the matter of invalidating the Presidential election.

Under my scenario....the Electoral College situation falls apart, and the states send their delegations to January of 2025.....to vote state by state....where Trump wins.

At least five states then contend that it's time to part ways as a nation, and the conflict just intensifies.

The Next Trump 'Trap'

Between now and the mid-term election....I expect the FBI to show up and arrest Donald Trump.

The questions then become....just how much suffering can the FBI handle.....will the Secret Service then isolate their people in the jail to protect him....and how Biden can share his non-involvement when no one believes him?

A stupid mistake?  On a scale of one to ten....I'd say a '15'.

Why all this necessity?  I think that the Democratic National Committee has evaluated the potential for 2024, and realize that they have no one who can compete at Trump's level, and if there was any gimmicks used in 2020's election....they'd be hard-pressed to repeat the gimmicks in 2024.  Removing Trump as a player....is the only option.

The bigger problem?  If you were a Republican but a never-Trumper.....you are pressed into a hard position for your election chances for 2022's mid-term.

So, my humble view....within 75-odd days....Trump will be arrested by the FBI.

My 'Secret' Adventure (Exercise)

In the 1987 timeframe, I was sent off to a exercise to be held in Honduras.  Note, I was not a volunteer, and the office was forced to send one guy.  This was some kind of headquarters element, of which intelligence was just one component of seven  groups.

So to get the orientation....I had to fly from my Panama base....to some Air Force installation in central Florida.  On a Sunday afternoon, we flew in and faced some storm that kept us in the air for an additional forty minutes (flying circles).

Monday morning at the base, we all (probably 700 individuals total) walked over to the base theater for the initial briefing.  It was rather simple....sign a log and hand a copy of our orders over.

General so-and-so got up and gave a six minute speech....mostly blah-blah-blah stuff.

Then the major got up to talk about living conditions....these were Vietnam War-era canvas tents.....no AC....snake issues existed, and chow was mostly a 2-star situation.  Luckily, we'd only be there six days total.

Then the intel guy stood up and gave some presentation to explain why we were there.  Out of a 20-minute presentation.....there was marginally two slides which had some identification of 'secret' stuff.  My own opinion was that it was marginally secret, and it could have been worded differently to just avoid any secret stuff.  (note, I'd been in the intel field for 7 years at that point).

Then came the pause, and a break.  To which, we discovered.....other than an empty Coke-machine in the theater lobby.....there was no liquid refreshment.

As we assemble and sit for the next part....there's a problem.  The security guy got all hyped up.  Basically, he could not vouch for anyone's clearance, and the whole presentation done by the intel guy was a problem.

They then led all us out.....spent 30 minutes trying to get a print-out of our clearances, and then spend about 75 minutes trying to get all us cleared, and given some kind of badges.  At this point, it was lunch, and they released us.

More or less.....two hours of the morning wasted.

We wasted Tuesday in the same fashion, and on Wednesday morning....did some kind of deployment line inspection before hoping on some cargo plane to fly into Honduras.

Among my group of forty-odd intel guys (shift A/B)....we had these two Army guys.  I referred to them as 'Frank' and 'Marty'.  Neither one were intel, and on a IQ test level...neither would have scored above a 90.  Not to say they were stupid....but they just weren't that bright.

Their purpose in life?  At the end of each shift.....they'd take classified waste out to some barrel and burn it.

Yes....a whole eleven hours around, and other than that last hour at the burn-barrel.....they just sat around.

The final day of the exercise....it ended in a abrupt fashion.....probably half-a-day early.  Frank and Marty stayed behind to burn everything left.

Exercises for the most part of my career.....were just wasted time, but it gave some satisfaction to the generals that they were capable of conducting a war.  In some ways, I view the Russian business in the Ukraine in the way that they were marginally having exercises for decades, and it was all built around some WW II experience.

I Took A Covid Compliance Test

 Results?

1.  Gotten a Covid test?  PCR test.....zero.  The cheapo mini-test?  Probably over forty occasions...none ever positive.

2.  Worn a mask?  OH YEAH.  The Germans hyped this to the max.

3.  Been vaxed?  Yes.

4.  Been vaxed twice?  Yes.

5.  Never walked opposite the Covid arrows in the store?  To be honest, never paid attention to them....I probably walked the wrong path over 300 times.

6.  Kept family away?  No.

7.  Been upset at unmasked people?  No, not really.  I might have spent 8 seconds praying for them.

8.  Driven with a mask on in the car?  NO.

9.  Waited in a three-hour line?  HELL NO.  Even when Covid did not exist....I refused to wait for anything longer than 30 minutes.  I just don't have patience like that.

10.  Cancelled an event?  No.

11.  Stayed indoors for a week?  My max is maybe 48 hours of indoor activity (mostly because of weather).

12.  Sprayed groceries or wiped them?  NO.

13.  Posted some social media about a positive test?  NO.

14.  Believed what I was told by the authorities or media?  Well....in the first 30 days...100-percent belief.  By day 90, I'd say my skepticism level was maxing at a '5' (scale of 1-to-10). By day 200, my skepticism level was maxing near a '8'.

15.  Wearing the same mask more than 40 hours?  I kept one mask in my jacket pocket for all of 2021, using the same one for probably 160 hours (when in stores or riding the bus).  Effective nature?  Probably near zero by the half-way point.  I'm pretty sure that 20-percent of all men did the same thing.

How Did We Get Stuck With The FBI?

For a number of decades (at the beginning).....we didn't really need to worry about crime crossing state lines.  It probably existed, but with a warrant from some county judge, you as a county sheriff/deputy...could cross the border and apprehend the suspected criminal.

Around the 1850 period, we had a new category to developed....called the 'Pinkerton-Men'.

This was a commercial group of folks who served two purposes.....detectives and private security guards.  You could make the case that railway traffic and related crime brought them about.

The federal government procuring their services?  Yes.  In 1861, Lincoln hired them, to provide services during the war.

For about forty years, the Pinkerton-Men were a organization that were commercial in nature, with federal powers granted to them.

In 1908, the federal government decides to take the basic idea of the Pinkerton-Men and form the FBI.

Can we exist today without the FBI?  I would say mostly 'no'.  Because of the terror business, and cross-state-line crimes....you need some type of agency to handle these.

Could the US Marshalls perform half the functions of the FBI?  That's continually brought up, and probably worth a long review.

Domestic terrorism requiring a dedicated force?  That's also continually debated, and one could imagine the US Marshalls handling the bulk of this mission.

Once we reach 2024, I would imagine a whole year will be spend in disassembling the FBI...into something of a compact nature, with the US Marshalls likely to gain more purpose and missions.

Quote

"Equity as a concept says recognize that everyone has the same capacity, but in order for them to have equal opportunity to reach that capacity, well, we must pay attention to this issue of equity."

-- VP Harris, yesterday

What it means?

I have no idea.  Maybe someone has a bucket or box of extra equity to handout when some folks get short on things.

I will state this as a fact....people don't all have the same capacity.  You can't arrange this outcome.

Five Things I Now Believe

 1.  People who wear Covid-masks these days....on the annoy-scale (1-to-10)....are typically '8' or more.

2.  Liz Cheney will lose her primary election by 20-plus points.  Here's the thing....if she'd avoided the Jan-6 hearing business....it might have been only a five-point loss.  She really didn't see the 'train' approaching in her level of stupidity.

3.  The crowd who came in and invested in ZOOM....basically have to accept that half the money is gone, and probably will never get that portion back....unless some idiot company like Google buys them.

4.  NY City probably will hire a bus to take 40 migrants back to Texas.  Upon arrival at the border of Arkansas....I expect the Rangers to be standing there....pulling the bus over, and asking for an ID....forcing them to stay in Arkansas.  At that point, Arkansas will hire a bus, and return the forty to NY City.

5.  In 2024's West Virginia senator election.....I don't think Joe Manchin will win.

Ten Things They Did Find In Trump's Vault

 1.  He had the agreement between Eisenhower and the aliens in the vault.

2.  He held the 40th book (unpublished) from the Old Testament....all in Latin....describing the end of the world, and some guy named Hunter in the middle of things.

3.  He had a Bigfoot claw.

4.  He had seven-hundred 'get-out-of-jail' tokens from Long Island.

5.  He held Obama's actual real original birth certificate.

6.  He had the original Death-Star plans.

7.  He had a coffee cup with 'Holy Grail' on the side.

8.  He had the sword from Jon Snow in Game of Thrones.

9.  He had a birthday card from Hillary Clinton (from 1998).

10.  He had a hammer and wooden stake (to be used for vampires).

Five Skills For Life

There are five skills that you ought to have by age 30:

1.  You ought to be able to read through a ten-page summary, and be able a eight-line summary of value.  In simple terms....the simple facts.

2.  You ought to have sense of seeing through chaos, and point the path to some positive outcome.

3.  You should sense the nature of those around you, and if they are 'nuts', or likely to lead you into trouble.

4.  You ought to be able comprehend matters enough.....to say this is false, and this is true.

5.  You ought to have enough wit about your daily affairs, that you aren't offended by some criticism.  If it's false criticism....you ought to be able to repel it upon the other party.

A Math Story

I noticed this story coming up from San Francisco.

This revolves around fourth-graders who sat in a math class and were given this problem: If you have 14 stickers and desire to give three to each friend, how many friends will get stickers?

The kids were frustrated and didn't see any outcome.

The true answer?  ONLY four friends would get stickers, and you'd have 2 stickers left in your hand at the end.

Now, my brother (the electrical engineer) would have answered....none of his friends care for some damn stickers.....so he'd just keep the stickers.  Maybe down the road, with enough stickers....he'd trade them for some magic beans at the local co-op.

Others might have answered that they'd come to some agreement in selling the stickers for a nickel each, and made 70 cents.

Still others would have answered that the final two left-over stickers should be cut-up and given out as partial stickers.

The purpose of this stupid math problem....a discussion in the distribution cycle...nothing more than that.  It's not really a defined end (x plus y must equal z).

It's a love-hate relationship with math.  You need some math skills to survive in life.  The majority of us probably need a max of 8th-grade math for the requirements in life.  A few us need Einstein-like skills.

With word problems....the hate view outweighs the love view.  I had some 9th grade math instructor who gave out a 5 question quiz, all worked up in word problems.  He figured we'd all be done in 20 minutes.  Most were still working on this at the ring of the bell....sixty minutes later.

Even now....two weeks after this stupid sticker problem, there's probably a dozen kids still have math-PTSD issues and worried that more intense sticker problems will be given to them in September.

2024 Election Over, As Of Today?

With the Key-Largo residence of Donald Trump raided by the FBI....it's done.  Trump will run, and will be elected in 2024.

An intentional event by the FBI to guarantee this?  This is where I sit and pause over what this decision by the DoJ was about.

On the stupidity scale (1-10)....this ranks as a '12'.  They desperately want it to be Trump as the opposition.

Nothing makes any sense about this.

So far, the White House says they knew nothing about this.  My belief in this?  Near zero.

Amazing....just over two years away, and the election is wrapped up at this point, unless Trump's health fails.

My Gut Feeling On Seven Things

 1.  This WNBA player, Brittney Griner, held in a Russian jail situation over arriving in the country with cannabis vape.

Years ago, I watched the 1978 movie.....Midnight Express.  Stupid American, trying to fly out of Turkey, drugs on him.  The movie impressed upon me.....once you visit a foreign country....you keep your act straight, and avoid drugs at all cost.  Evidentially, Griner never saw the movie.

2.  Busing illegals to NYC or Washington DC.

No one is forced onto the buses, and the ride cost nothing (food seems to be provided).  So, what's the big deal?  Lot of chatter about jobs in NYC being empty.

3.  The Russian spiral in the Ukraine.

At some point in the next two months....I expect a major part of the Russian front to collapse, and 10,000 Conscripts retreat in mass....getting clobbered every step of the way for 48 hours.  Those who survive?  They will never take orders from the Russian commanders again.  This war goes into maximum turbo decline at this point.

4.  DC schools say kids must be vaxed-up for the entry into school here in August, or be denied entry.

Just guessing here, but I might assume more than 2,000 kids and their parents don't comply.  At that point, schools might as well go and dismiss more 100 teachers.

5.  Just how much of a lame-duck is President Biden after the mid-term?

On a scale of one to ten.....probably a '8'.  For the party....he's of no value for 2023, and it'd be better if he just didn't appear that often in public.

Politically-speaking....2023 looks pretty crappy for the Democratic Party, unless you get AOC or Newsom out in front daily....making speeches.

6.  San Bernardino County (what is everything between Riverside and Bullhead City, AZ.....is having a vote this November to succeed from California?

Yeah.  Not that it's really legal or resolved via the Constitution....but they say that they want their fair share of 'funds' from the state, and they aren't getting them.

How big is the county?  Roughly half the size of the state of Alabama.  But I should state this....25-percent of the county is Fort Irwin (the Army post), and another 35-odd percent is fed desert land.  Five-percent is national forest land.

Who would they flip to?  In their fantasy....either Arizona or Nevada.

From the state leadership....no one takes this serious.  It would be an interesting thing to entertain.

7.  Iowa not being first for the 2024 primary?

Rumor started up....the head of the Democratic Party wants either Nevada or New Hampshire to be first.....or to have all four on the same day.

Why?  I don't think Newsom can win in Iowa, and they need some kind of 'protection' to get him to the convention.  Newsom in Nevada, SC or NH?  Well....he might have 60-percent odds in Nevada, but less than 30-percent in Iowa, SC or NH.

What Happened To The Batgirl Movie?

The studio says.....can it.  It will never be shown in theaters, or via DVDs, or via cable TV.  What's said now....around $70-million was spent, and will be considered just a tax-write-off.

What I suspect?  Three things:

1.  I think they went with a two-star concept, and just thinking anything DC....would sell.  Somewhere near the end of production, the big-boys of the studio then realized there was no real focus.....no hero status....nothing to get people into the theater.

2.  The script?  Maybe it was a marginal script.  No one talks much about it.

3.  It was a no-name actress (Leslie Grace) who got the nod to play the part.  There's always a risk when you do this....people thinking it'll pan out, and sometimes....it does work.

If they take the tax loss?  Then the whole thing will be shredded and never viewed.  Hard to believe they'd go to the length.

Things Are So Bad....

It's reached a point here in the past year, where the US government more or less....admitted that UFOs do actually exist, and frankly....no one cares.

I sat and thought about this statement here this morning.

I would offer three reasons for the 'do-not-care' business:

1.  No one really believes anything that comes from the government today.  It's been that way for twenty-odd years.

2.  People have seen enough UFO movies, to readily believe in aliens already.

3.  Between wokeness, Covid, gender-crap, pronoun-BS, the Trump era, the Biden era, the murder rate in Baltimore, the Russians in the Ukraine, the recession, and social media crapping all over the place.....no one has any appreciation of the UFO business.

I'll even go this far...to say this.  If aliens did arrive and offered any chance to leave the Earth....for any remote oddball planet....probably more than half would accept the chance to pack up and move.

This Idea Of Pumping Mississippi River Water To the Colorado River And Arizona?

I noticed this story posted this week....because of lessening river waters to Nevada, Arizona and California....there's talk of some 'pipe' to bring Mississippi River water to the west.  Matter of how it'd work?  Unknown.

For reference....the Colorado River officially starts at Lake La Poudre Pass....about 30 miles west of Fort Collins.

So the idea is...you'd build some canal or 'pipe' to bring Mississippi water to the 'foot' of the Rocky Mountains.

How I would imagine this working?  I'd go to two states....Iowa and Nebraska and offer up some deal for the purchase of five or six areas where huge reservoirs would be built (probably in the 2,000 acre-range each and thirty feet deep), which I would allow some locals to get irrigation off of.

Then I'd pump the Mississippi water through each reservoir, and reach the point at Fort Collins where you'd require a fair amount of pumping to reach the Long Draw Reservoir (which leads into the Colorado River).

Inch by inch....I'd start to raise the water flow into the Colorado....probably reach two to three feet  above where it is today.

Cost factor?  Oh, its to be into the 100-billion range, and easily take a decade to accomplish.

Selling this idea?  It helps to have Nebraska and Iowa attached....then you bring up the topic of flood control for those who've suffered from sprig floods on the Mississippi.

Observations

 1.  I noticed some video off social media....woke-teacher who was trying to get some 6th grade set up for pronoun games.  So she came to this one kid....who responded that his pronouns were Banana and Rock.  This was not the expectation of the dimwit teacher, and she was apparently troubled over this.

I studied the situation for a minute, and then it kinda hit me.....Banana and Rock can't be pronouns....they are nouns.  Depending on use....they could be regular nouns or possibly proper nouns.

Yeah, those noun-trouble-maker kids....you got to watch them.

2.  It's just odd....the WH came up and admitted this whole 'inflation-money-act' deal.....will do nothing much to curb inflation.

Observations

 1.  There are two things I've gotten out of the House 6-Jan hearings.  First, it tended to make the House members appear useless and marginal.  Maybe that was some intended goal, or just the way I perceived the 'show' going.  Second, to this point....no one has explained who opened the doors to the capital building...which seems odd.

2.  This Paul Pelosi 'pull-over' by the California police for a DWI....now indicates he had drugs in his system, but they aren't saying what.

In most states?  As a minimum....you'd be losing your car insurance, and likely not getting your license back for at least a year.

Ten Things Likely To Come By The End Of 2022

 1.  As classes start back up this month (August)....at least 250,000 kids are likely missing and on home-schooling.  Primary reason?  Pronouns, marginal instructors, and propagandized schools.  Roughly 10,500 teachers (mostly in grade-schools) will be let go.  The only places recruiting for the 10,500?  Mostly urbanized areas with rough neighborhoods....where the pronoun teachers won't last long.

2.  Liz Cheney ends up at CNN as a round-table 'guest' similar to Fox's Five.  No one takes her serious.

3.  Latino vote in the mid-term shifting to Republican candidates, and shocking the leadership of the Democratic Party.

4.  Brittney Griner, WNBA player held in Russia.....will be traded and arrive back in the US....to be interviewed countless times about her appreciation of President Biden's efforts.

5.  Someone will invent something called the Biden-Index....to reflect the true economy and true recession. It'll be considered the least reliable index to project current conditions of the nation.

6.  Twitter court action reaches a stage where the judge suggests to Twitter that Elon holds a 'ace' or two, and either you lessen the purchase price (probably going from $44-billion down to $34-billion), or drop the case entirely.  A massive court case starts up by stock-holders...against the board/CEO.

7.  Joe Biden will be diagnosed with Covid-Brain-Fog by the end of 2022.  A discussion ensues....whether he's fogged-up too much to be President, or just marginally fogged-up (he can't do math problems for example).

8.  3,000 Russian conscripts arrive after five days of boot-camp at the 'front' in the Ukraine.....with 90-percent of them dead by the end of 2022.

9.  At least ten gentlemen from CNN (journalists) will have Monkey-pox before the end of 2022.

10.  At least two European governments will 'collapse' by the end of 2022....requiring new elections (besides Italy).
