Bank Chatter

 I sat and reviewed yesterday a FDIC story related to banks.  Current data....from FDIC....says that US banks are holding $515-billion in unrealized losses.

The question being laid down....with dozens of banks in potential failure status...when will the chaos officially start?  Before the election, shortly after the election (before Thanksgiving), or going into January?

I'm of the mind it's a zero chance that the chaos will start before the election.  

If this were to occur after the election or until Christmas....it'd crap-out the US Christmas buying season, and make the situation ten times more worse than believed.

So I'm of the mind this fantastic melt-down  of the banking sector (dozens of bank failures) will occur shortly after 1 January 2025.  Reasoning?  I think the fixes being discussed behind  closed doors....require the Biden-crew to support, and they'd rather have them issuing  orders....than the Trump-crew.

So does any of this affect the little-guy? As long as what you  have in the bank is $250,000 or less....you are covered by FDIC.  If you have more than $250,000 in this billions of losses mess...then you might only get 25-to-50 percent of your lost money covered.  

The scenario to discuss?  Lets say your retired parents had $750,000 in a CD account...paying 5-percent, with a bank failing.....with $100,000 in savings and $10,000 in checking....then FDIC probably will only cover about $350,000 to $400,000.  The rest?  Lost. 

Another scenario?  You bought bonds via a bank....say $1-million worth.  The majority of that will be lost.

My advice....ensure you have $250,000 or less with each individual bank or credit union.  Even if you have to open a dozen bank accounts across three states....it's the only way to be 'safe'.

To the final issue....does FDIC have enough funds to cover ALL losses?  Well....no one is really suggesting that idea any more.  The fed could print more money.  But this would trigger more inflation (going into 2025).  The fed could suggest a 'fee' situation.....if you had more than $250,000 in a bank....maybe you ought to be paying $1,200 a year  for the privilege of hefty accounts (yeah, it'd be crazy stupid to make such a fee). 

Just another thing to worry about.

I saw this today.  Humor-piece.  

If you asked me  over the idea that some fed-prosecutor would bring Trump into court over  the nugget problem? 

I'd say at least five to ten fed lawyers are examining the idea.

Political Chatter

I briefly yesterday watched around 30 minutes of NFL football (streaming) and these odd Kamala Harris ads were on.  One suggested Trump was going to make grocery prices to higher, and another was that your Social  Security was going to be taken by Trump. 

Both were low-IQ type advertising (my humble belief).

After thinking about it, I had five suggestions for the Harris team....for future  advertising:

1.  Trump will take away birthdays, and force you to drink ONLY premium high-cost beer.

2.   Trump intends to tax dog and cat owners.

3.   Trump intends to shut down Harvard University.

4.  Trump  intends to halt Trans-dog operations.

5.  Trump intends to do little to resolve the pothole chaos and crisis in America.

'Trump-Faking'?

 About four years ago, I was reading a piece and the writer made a comment....that he'd gone to 'quiet-mode' at work around election time of 2016 at work.  In simple terms, he avoided most conversations. Other than sports, car chatter, or crime stuff...he just didn't talk much at work.  He found that it felt like he was in a cult-situation after a couple of months....that he was there to work and avoid saying anything to disturb the cult-members of his 'group'.

I noticed this social media survey....where 21-percent of people were now quiet at work or 'Trump-faking'.

The fact that people could do this for months and years?  Yeah, that's an accomplishment.

I would imagine it's also at work in colleges, high-schools, churches and even sports organizations.

Mentally, after you've got used to this behavior....it's like being in a forced cult-group, and wanting to fit within it....but not really trusting anyone in the group.

I'm even of the mind that marriages are now working in this manner.  

The funny thing?  All of the cult-members are of the mind that virtually everyone they associate with....the 30-odd people in their circle...are of the same mind-set, when at least ten of the people (maybe even twenty)....are 'Trump-faking'.  At some point among the 'group'.....they will each figure out the secret handshake/signs/key-words....so during the day, they will utter the one key phrase of inspiration, and get the return key phrase....'UNITED'.

Like some science-fiction movie....with cult stuff injected?  Yeah.

So as you stop for gas today and greet 'Marge' (the station clerk)....she's Trump-faking and gives you the key phrase.  Stop for a second and return the key phrase.  The counter-cult is evolving. 

If I Were A Betting Man

 1.  Hunter Biden will be convicted and given a sentence of one year or more, with President Biden issuing a pardon 24 hours prior to the start of jail.

2.  100-plus banks will start to go into massive failure around the middle of January, with FDIC admitting they lack the $700-billion to cover the mess.

3.  At some point in February, the rest of the story over who killed JFK will become public knowledge, and it leads back to private citizens who were 'friends' with CIA members.  At least ten names will be issued....all dead.  Hint: Oswald was part of the conspiracy, but he didn't shoot JFK.

4.  The US will lay out its plans to remove the majority of US forces in Europe by the end of 2026....while still participating in NATO exercises in the future. One 3-star Army general will remain with a headquarters element for EUCOM.

5.  One-hundred FBI managers will be given their termination papers by early 2025.  

6.  The Secret Service will be divided into two elements by spring of 2025....one to protect the President/VP and families.....one to protect past Presidents/families.  

7.  A tax review of retired President Biden will result in a $500,000 additional tax from federal and state taxes.

8.  VP  Harris will be divorcing her husband by the middle of 2025.

9.  More than 5,000 individuals will be identified in the Diddy-tapes.  Some will disappear from public attention for the remainder of their lives.

10.  NPR will be given  notice....half of their fed-funding will end at the conclusion of 2025.  

Fries Story

I read this story from the week, and pondered upon it.

I worked in the early 80s with a Air Force guy who sought out a part-time job and ended up at a McDonalds.  

We got into a talk one day....he'd been at the McDonalds for six weeks so far, and had mastered all of the 'skills' (burgers, shakes, fries, cash register, etc).  

At the six week point....the crew-chief one night was fired, and this guy (having six weeks on his belt)....was elevated to crew-leader status.  I'll admit this guy was 25....a Staff Sergeant, and born to be a multi-task guy.

On this published story....I honestly believe that you could take a 12-year old kid....spend 20 minutes training him, and make a decent fry-guy out of him.

People trying to claim some special skill?  BS.
 

Hyped-Up Chatter Story

 This week....a Pentagon story started up.....they apparently want to create fake AI-generated social media profiles....where people would 'friend' and give bits/pieces of data....which the Pentagon would go and ‘gather information.’

To be honest, I think the Chinese and Russians already do this to some extent.

Are the 'boys' talking about US social media types?  I don't think so.  This is aimed at Chinese, Russian,  European, Middle Eastern and Asian groups.  

The fact that the CIA itself probably already started doing this a decade ago?  Well.....yeah, there is that problem as well.   

Somewhere down the line.....there's some Air Force Major likely to write up a medal for Lt Jones....having created 300-odd social media 'fakes' and has 950,000 followers.
