Observations

 1.  Yesterday, Marjorie Taylor Greene talked New York City....say it was disgusting…repulsive, had a funny smell, and generally described as a terrible place.

I contemplated the description (I've been there 3 times....once for five days).  Yeah, there is some kind of weird smell (between mildew and dead fish)....that you pick up real quick.

Yeah, the subway system is probably 40 years behind most of what you'd see in Europe.

I won't use the word disgusting, but you lose a fair amount of your 'wonderland' feeling after five days.

2.  Reverend Al Sharpton Called Trump’s Indictment.....‘Spiritual’ Payback.

I guess he pulled it up from Revelations and from that end-of-days chatter it has.

3.  I noted someone commenting that the loss of Hillary Clinton in 2016.....has some weird connection to a PTSD issue today, and people being unable to accept or comprehend reality.

National PTSD?  How would you send these people off to rehab for this?

Q-and-A: All This Trump 'Drama'

 1.  Cash flow to the Trump campaign?

This morning....the general perception is that Trump has gained $6-million for campaign-funds since this NY City court case went into turbo.  By December, when this case opens fully?  I would speculate around $50-million flowing to Trump.  On making this a big drama and allow more campaign funds?  It probably wasn't that bright, but they've reached a point of desperation.

2.  A lot of pressure on Cohen now to deliver his accusations on Trump?

Yeah, and I don't think he's got the mental stamina to keep his head straight until the case opens.  It wouldn't shock me if he had a stress situation, high-blood pressure, and a possible heart-attack before the case opens.  He has to be there and deliver....for the prosecutor to have even a minor chance of winning.

3.  Someone digging on Prosecutor Bragg's past?

It wouldn't surprise me if a dozen folks are looking at his past twenty years for a screw-up.  If he has to resign....the case becomes a problem in moving ahead.

4.  Trump screwed up by paying Stormy?

Generally, I'd argue this point.  But I've often wondered....why was the amount $130,000?  I would speculate that she should have asked for $1-million....in cash, and just made a bigger threat.

Should Trump have used a 3rd party to pay Cohen for the Stormy bribe?  That's another thing.  He could have easily brought in some guy.....a Hispanic drug-dealer type and said here's the $130,000 in cash....pay Cohen and get a receipt. Trusting Cohen the whole way....in the end....was a five-star mistake.

5.  If the case falters and no guilty verdict?

I would imagine a whole bunch of people falling apart, and requiring some type of mental health expert to 'save' them from a mental-collapse.  If you think things are bad now....it could be a lot worse.

A Twitter Change

Twitter went and made up a 'rule' that says if you apply for an account, and receive public/state funding....then you will be 'listed' as a “US State-affiliated Media”.

So the first up on this new level?  NPR.

Yeah, I sat there for several minutes...amused by this.

NPR's reaction?  So far, they've been quiet.  I'm guessing they are pretty frustrated by this and want this reversed.  If they refused the 'grant-money'....they could lose the title, but would likely have to downsize by 50-percent (just my humble guess).

NPR odds of going to court to challenge this?  I'd imagine that several lawyers are being engaged, and most are advising them that you need zero funding from the government to win this case.

From the mid-1970s...onto around 2000...I probably was pro-NPR....but getting less thrilled about them leaving jazz/classical music, and literature behind....to be mostly a news network.  It was easy to put on a radio set and jog at lunch-time....listening to them.  The last time I turned on NPR?  It's been almost a decade now.

Selling Gavin Newsom As Presidential Material?

 1.  First, he is heavily attached to the reparations chatter.  Once drawn into any debate and this comes up....he will have to explain how this is paid for, and the bulk of working-class Democrats won't easily buy into his explanation.

2.  500,000 residents of California left between 2020 and the end of 2022.  As Governor and a potential candidate....he has to explain why.

3.  Drug problems in SF and LA?  He would have to explain how the problem has only grown, not diminished.

4.  Covid record for the Governor?  It's not anything you'd want to brag over.

5.  Not that it's terribly negative.....but Newsom is a male-model type, and not that clever on debates/arguments.

As for comparing to Obama?  Well....Obama had no real record while as a Senator....so you couldn't ding him on failures.  You can't say that for Newsom and his actions over the state of California.

Counter-advertising with Newsom?  It's a nightmare to view the countless interviews with the people who stayed in California, and those who left.

If You Are Prone To Anxiety.....

It's not my job to really do much or resolve your 'attack'.

I just hate to break that news to you....while you might be in a fragile condition and thinking I might go and be extra-sympathetic toward your cause or your illusionary condition, I just don't bend that much.

I mean....if you wanted to introduce your imaginary friend to me....I probably won't even offer a 'hello' to Gus (the ghost).

If you were trying to show me your pet pony 'Marvin' and insist that Marvin was a Kentucky Derby type....I'm just not going to go along with your story, or Marvin's status.

If you were trying sell me on your controlled drug habit and how you self-medicate to resolve your schizophrenia?  I'm sorry but I'm going to establish a six-foot zone between you and me, and won't allow you to ride in the car with me.

If you were trying to explain how you have your alcohol problem under control, but I see your shopping cart with a dozen bottles of cheap booze?  I won't believe your under-control BS.

If you went to some 64 gender talk and wanted me to engage.....I'm sorry, I just don't care to hear the talk, the argument that ensues, or that this is science in some way.

If you go and admit to some mental condition but reassure me that you don't need treatment?  I'm sorry....the minute you confess zero treatment, I'm not your friend.

My bundle of sympathy at age 64?  It's probably the least amount I've ever had.  It's possible for me to realize bad service....that getting the 'boss' involved' won't help, and I'll just walk out.

Yeah, I'm loaded with bits of skepticism and its affecting my view of the 'big world'.  It won't improve.  Skepticism-rehab?  Non-existent.

So pardon my lack of understanding over your panic or anxiety situation.  I'm going to tell you to get your crap together and send you out into a fairly cruel world.

The Problem

Once you bundle up credence, 'gospel truth', conviction and confidence, you end up assigning a score to the topic, and the person speaking over the topic.

It's like turning on a podcast, with some Jimmy Swaggart-like character to talk about moral dilemma situations.  You might agree with general moral dilemma situations....like you shouldn't hang out with slutty women but having the Jimmy Swaggart character tell you this....just doesn't work.

It's the same way when you have Barry Bonds come up to talk about home-run hitting....but with you strongly believing that Barry hyped-up on steroids to reach his homers for the past eight years of his career.  You discount or mute Barry's comments.

It's like this with CNBC's Jim Cramer and when he comes on to tell you how great a bank is on stock price right now....it's a absolute sign they are in failure mode.

Having Barrack Obama come up to speak solely on racism for eight minutes is that way for me....I'll mute the speech for that particular topic.

So I look at how this NY City case will go for Donald Trump, with Stormy Daniels (x-rated star), her x-lawyer (still in jail), and the Cohen-character (who wrapped up his conviction/jail time).

You pick and rely upon this case coming to some guilty situation.....with three significant question marks.

It's like I'm relying upon Patrick (from Spongebob Squarepants), Andy (from Parks and Recreation), and Rose (from the Golden Girls) to resolve a major problem, but know that they can only make matters worse in the end.

I suspect even people from NY City are quietly smirking how this case relies upon three highly questionable characters.   They have to be thinking that Trump actually bribed the prosecutor to set this case up....to be such a questionable episode.

The weirdest part of this?  Almost every single time...this 'get-Trump' game has been played out (even impeachment-wise)....it's like they went looking for Spongebob-like characters, and that was the key to the conviction.  It's a script for hick-lawyers and they can't seem to win.

Eight Observations

 1.  If you had a choice....would you prefer a day of unpleasant truth, or comforting lies?

I think a majority of people would say neither, and just mute everything they hear.

2.  American Medical Association has come to this odd conclusion....a fair number of young people now claim they have 'long-Covid' (pretty serious disease situation, I will admit).  Upon testing this youth group, the AMA has come to say that half (figure 50-percent) have never had Covid, period.  Now, what the AMA did not say....is if the group had been vaxed-up.  If they weren't vaxed-up....then 'long-Covid' has a problem, or we have a serious mental issue brewing in the US.

3.  Defining statism?  It generally means you have a political system existing in your society where the state itself....has total centralized control over social, educational, commerce and economic affairs.

4.  Italian for Italians effort.  Draft law going up in Italy....if you use official communication (for gov't folks)....it has to only contain Italian words....NO more English to be inserted into public statements.

5.  Lot of hype going on with McDonalds, that some layoff of executive personnel will occur early this week.

6.  The US is the only place where you might use the word 'reduction' and it means 'increase' instead.

7.  Imperfection makes things always a bit more interesting.

8.  Even with all the poverty existing in America today....tens of thousands cross the border each week....to get a chance to exceed that 'ranking'.
