Five Humble Thoughts

 1.  I fully expect Medicare-for-all to be pushed as a Democratic agenda item for 2027/2028.

The negatives?  Lower payments, financial strain, reduced capacity, and less autonomy are the main downsides cited often for doctors and hospitals.

Most hospitals will say that they can handle x-amount of Medicare patients but if you said 100-percent of patients were this way....something would have be rebuilt/downsized.

The doctor-exit?  This gets discussed a good bit....where if the financial side doesn't really pay....why stay?  What you don't want is 25-percent of doctors having a thought....retire by age 60 and start lessening hours already by age 50.

Passing this?  I think a majority of Americans could be told it's a great idea....never challenging it, and it might pass.  Three years later....the damage is seen and the question is....what next?

2.  By 2035....I think a majority of California-exit-folks who arrived in Texas....will say things are so screwed up...that they need to perform a Texas-exit-agenda...leaving for Arkansas or Missouri.

3.  No idea how....but I suspect by spring of 2028...ICE will not exist.

4.  The term 'crony-capitalism' gets thrown around a good bit.  If you stopped the idiot for a moment and asked them to define it....I'm guessing 50-percent could not do it.  Among college grads...it might be even be 70-percent.

5.  By 2028....I'll predict that at least one House candidate self-identifies as a 'alien' (space-type, UFO, etc).

Explaining The Paraguay Bank Problem (Simply)

Ueno Bank was a BIG deal bank....developed in the past year or two...into a digital bank in Paraguay.  About a week ago....it collapsed....so if you had money there....it's locked down until the authorities can determine what still exists.

Everyone there (probably 60-percent of the population) held accounts.

Where things went wrong?  At this stage....they seem to have signed up to provide risky or poorly documented loans.  Then....there's this issue of bank 'bosses' (owners) who had separate business operations....that they approved for themselves to have large risky loans.

The bank holding gov't money?  Well....curiously, there's probably near a billion dollars in public money frozen as well.  So if you were running a school-teacher account....there's not going to be cash flow for those folks.

Pension flow?  Same issue.

Something like FDIC?  Yeah....but only around $38,000 per person.  Best estimates....around two-thirds of account-holders fit into this area.  The others beyond $38k?  Screwed.

How this insurance will work?  Presently....there is talk of a $1,500 release (within a week), and a suggestion of another release in early December.  If you were asking me about the end-point of the $38,000?  I might suggest that it's at least 90 days away.

Bank still having assets?  There's to be a massive audit and clear cash situation to be laid out.  The screwed-folks (having more than $38,000)?  There is some optimistic folks who seem to believe a fair amount of cash still exists (somewhere).

Political mess created?  Well....the President had to go, and a lot of skepticism exists presently.

If you were a small businessman, with a million-dollars of 'worth'?  I'd go and say that 2027 is a pretty crappy year for you, if you held a lot of money in savings or CDs.

The last thing to wonder about?  Throughout Latin America....there's probably twenty-odd banks with serious money issues...stumbling along and hoping to continue on.

'SYSTEM' Chatter

Talarico gave a interview.....talking over economics.  At some point....he said there needs to be a complete economic overhaul....then he says....the SYSTEM should reward hard work rather than wealth.

He gets chatty then....suggesting that the last five decades of economic policy need a rethink.  Basically saying since 1970....we were focused on the wrong stuff.

I paused here....thinking.

First....I had to ask Grok about life-skills/jobs that Talarico has had.  It's mostly a short list....teacher...political figure....student (Masters)....non-profit manager.  His vast knowledge on economics probably fills a 3x5 inch card.

Second, at no point does Talarico identify the SYSTEM.  Maybe he means the gov't....maybe he means industry....maybe he means banks....maybe he means some imaginary 'thing' that isn't really defined.

Third, whether he understands it or not...you produce something (a service, a product, a thing of value)....then it has to relate to a value.  As long as this has plus-up value (profit)....things can proceed.  If you reach a stage where you can't produce profit...you can forget about any measure of hard-work....it's a spiral going downward.  There's a reason why we don't have 300 pencil factories existing in America today.

Fourth....Talarico sounds like a 6th-grader....without much understanding of economics, finance, etc.

Finally, this reality around Talarico....reminds me of the 2006 movie....Idiocracy.  As long as you have stupid people....you have stupid intellectuals....who produce stupid witty BS.

Note:  I finally caught up and watched Idiocracy back in 2013.  I've watched it a 2nd time in the Covid-era.  I strongly recommend the movie....even for 10-year old kids.

As for what happens with Talarico?  I think he's to be VP-material for someone...in 2028 and 2032.  At some point....maybe even Presidential material.  He'll eventually start a Commission-for- Fixing-the-SYSTEM.  Maybe then....people will finally ask, what is it?
